00:05 Cold coffee, your lips are on my skin
00:10 Losing the focus, caffeine is setting in
00:15 We're on something, but nobody else can tell
00:25 You drive me wild, you give to me then take away from
00:31 Me like a child, falling on your words when you try to say 'em
00:36 And you keep me bound, hold 'em both my hands, hold me down
00:42 Hi guys, welcome to my channel. Today I'm going to be showing you how to recreate this really beautiful blue smokey eye
00:50 And it came out amazing, I'm so happy I did this. It totally broke my expectations for what I thought it was going to come out as
00:57 I was literally just sitting in my room, I was like, "Alright, what video should I do next?"
01:01 And then I was like, "You know what, I'm going to do a prom tutorial"
01:04 So I'm going to show you how to recreate this look and like I said, it came out amazing
01:09 I just wanted to let you guys know that for the best results, I used the Motives Crystal Blue Eyeshadow
01:14 This video, or none of my videos, they are never sponsored by Motives, I just love this brand so much
01:20 And I will also leave the link in the description bar to this eyeshadow and the other eyeshadows that I do use in this video
01:29 I hope you guys enjoyed this video, make sure to give this video a thumbs up if you liked it
01:34 And leave comments down below on if you recreated this look for prom or any other special occasion
01:41 Because I would love to hear that you did so and I will see you in my next video. Bye guys!
01:47 So to start off the eyeshadow, I'm using a piece of tape and I'm just going to apply that to the natural wing
01:57 You've probably seen this in a lot of videos, it's just to help make it look more dramatic and a lot less messier
02:03 Then I'm taking the Urban Decay Primer Potion in the color Original and then I'm going to go into the Motives Elements Palette
02:11 And I love this palette, you guys can go purchase it in the link in my description box
02:16 But I'm taking the color Birch and using a big crease brush, I guess you could say
02:23 And I'm just going to blend that into the crease and I'm not going to put it onto the lids
02:27 So you can see that there
02:31 And I'm just going to go back and forth in windshield wiper motions to make sure that the color is blended
02:45 And with smoky eyes, I like to really blend a lot because without blending, you're still going to have that defined look
02:52 And for smoky eyes, you don't really want a defined look
02:55 Then I'm taking this flat shader brush and applying a brown shade
03:00 You guys can use any brown shade for this part of the tutorial, you don't have to use any specific brown shade
03:06 And I'm just using a big fluffy brush to blend that out
03:11 [music]
03:27 Then I'm just going to repeat the step with applying brown eyeshadow and then blending it out with a big fluffy brush
03:35 [music]
03:50 Then I'm going in with the black shade and the reason why I took the brown first and then the black
03:56 Is because black can be really harsh and hard to blend out at some points
04:00 So you want to go in with a lighter color and then build on with the black
04:04 And I'm going to do the same thing I did with the brown shade and just apply it with a flat shader brush
04:09 And then blend it out with a big fluffy brush
04:11 And I'm going to do this twice because you want the best color payoff with the black
04:16 [music]
04:45 Now for the best part, I'm going in with the Motives Crystal Blue eyeshadow
04:52 And to get the best color payoff, I'm going to be wetting the brush first
04:57 Then dipping it into the eyeshadow and then applying it to my lid
05:01 And this is just going to make it very shimmery and very beautiful
05:06 And if you didn't wet it, it would probably just be really light
05:09 And you'd only see a little bit of sparkle and it just wouldn't be as good as we wanted it to
05:14 So I recommend wetting the brush before
05:18 And I'm just going to pack this on as much as I can because this is the star of the show
05:23 And you want to have this pop when you look at your eye
05:27 So go ahead and do that and then you want to wait for it to dry before going in with the black
05:33 Then I'm going to go in with the black like we did before with the flat shader brush
05:37 And blend it out with the big fluffy brush
05:40 And you want to make sure that the two colors are blended very nicely
05:44 And you don't want them to be too separate
05:47 You want to make it look like they are just fading into each other
05:51 And that is the lid
05:54 [Music]
05:59 [Music]
06:04 [Music]
06:09 [Music]
06:14 [Music]
06:19 [Music]
06:24 [Music]
06:29 [Music]
06:34 [Music]
06:39 [Music]
06:42 Now I'm going to go in with the angled eyeliner brush
06:45 And I'm not using an eyeliner because I feel like that's going to be too defined for this look
06:49 I'm just going to take the black eyeshadow that we used before
06:52 And line my upper lash line with that
06:55 And I'm also going to do that with my lower lash line
06:58 And this is just going to make it a little bit more smoky
07:01 [Music]
07:06 [Music]
07:11 [Music]
07:16 [Music]
07:21 [Music]
07:26 [Music]
07:31 And of course we're going to blend out what we already put on our eyes
07:34 So I'm going to take a pencil brush which isn't that dense
07:38 And I'm going to use that to blend out the lower lash line
07:41 To make it even more smokier
07:44 [Music]
07:51 And you'll notice that I only stopped the black at the middle part of my eye
07:56 Because I'm going to go in with the blue
07:58 And use the tip of that brush to apply the blue to the lower lash line
08:03 And I'm only going into the inner corner
08:05 And then I'm going to use that brush to blend the blue and the black together
08:09 [Music]
08:11 Then I'm going in with the color Shell from the Motives palette
08:15 And I'm using a flat shader brush and I'm using that to highlight
08:19 And then I'm going to take the tape off which is honestly the best feeling
08:22 But you can see that we have really harsh lines
08:24 And we don't want that so we're going to take the transition shade and the same brush
08:28 And blend that out
08:30 And once you get the line to disappear
08:34 You can highlight your brow bone and I'm using the color Birch from the Motives palette
08:39 [Music]
09:01 So you'll see that I applied false eyelashes to make this look complete
09:06 And then I'm going to take this liquid eyeliner in Jet Black
09:09 And apply that over the false eyelashes just to hide the band of the eyelashes
09:16 Because it didn't quite cover
09:18 And then I'm going to curl my fake eyelashes to my real eyelashes
09:21 And that is the finished look
09:22 Hope you guys enjoyed
09:23 Bye!
