00:13 Hi, how often do you get up in the morning and think I just haven't got time or I can't
00:18 be bothered to put any makeup on? My name's Tricia and I'm founder and MD of Look Fabulous
00:24 Forever which is a makeup line with specific benefits for older women. I want to show you
00:30 in this video how even if you don't have very much time you can still look fantastic quickly
00:36 and easily. Our model for this video is Barbara. I met Barbara a little while ago in fact and
00:44 she's a style consultant and she's managed to get me out of wearing black and grey all
00:47 the time. So I'm delighted that she's come along today and she's going to illustrate
00:52 with Linda who's going to be our makeup artist how to look great even if you haven't got
00:57 very much time.
01:02 Okay so one way to save time is to put your eye makeup on first. This means that if you
01:08 get any particles underneath your eyes from the shadow that you're using you can brush
01:12 it off and put your face makeup on quite quickly. Linda's going to start with the Fabulous Lid
01:19 Prime. So this is a quick and easy product to apply. You can see it's got a sponge applicator.
01:27 You just put it onto the lids, smooth it in with your fingers and it's done. You may think
01:36 why would I bother with this? In fact if you do this your makeup will look a lot better
01:41 and last longer and that's what primers are for.
01:52 The next thing that Linda's going to do, because Barbara has quite fair and indistinct eyebrows,
02:00 is using the brow shape. She's just going to make sure that the brows look better defined
02:10 and frame Barbara's face more than they do at the moment. So using light feathery strokes
02:16 again this is quite a quick product to use. You don't need much, just enough to make the
02:23 eyebrows look better and frame her face more than they do at the moment. Just brush it
02:32 in with brush six and there you can see the effect. So already we've got some nice definition
02:41 there on the brows. Now Linda's taking Fabulous Light and pumping the liquid down onto the
02:49 brush. She's going to put this onto Barbara's lids instead of putting any kind of eye shadow
03:00 there. So this is doubling up in terms of product and in terms of what it's doing. It's
03:07 just going to give some colour and definition to her eyelids.
03:11 Linda's using brush four which is a concealer brush just to smooth that in.
03:40 So to complete the eyes, Linda's going to use brush five and shade colour charcoal.
03:57 This she's putting into the base of Barbara's lashes so that her lashes look fuller and
04:04 thicker and prettier. So again it doesn't have to take long to do this and it really
04:20 does have a most dramatic effect on the eyes. As we get older our eyelashes can become quite
04:31 sparse and not very dense or thick or luscious and this is a way to give the illusion that
04:38 you've got thicker eyelashes very easily and very quickly. The good thing about the
04:46 shadow that Linda's using which as I said is eye shade in colour charcoal is that you
04:52 can use it wet or dry. Linda's using it dry so you get a slightly more smudgy effect.
04:59 If you want a more defined line you can wet it and then you can actually draw a line.
05:20 So just using brush seven, Linda's just smoothing that into the eye, just blending it so that
05:28 there are no hard edges. There we go, so that didn't take very long and already her eyes
05:36 look a lot bigger and better. So just a final touch of mascara, lifting the lashes up so
05:53 that again the eyes look nice and open and much bigger. I like to put mascara on the
06:05 top lashes of course but also on the bottom lashes. Even if they're quite sparse you can
06:12 still make a difference if you put a little bit of mascara underneath the eye as well.
06:23 There, so the eyes are now done. They look great, we haven't taken very long and we're
06:36 just going to quickly finish off with some face products. Now a good tip if you haven't
06:41 got very much time is use one pump of Fabulous Prime and one pump of Fabulous Base and then
06:50 mix them together on the back of your hand using foundation brush which is number three.
07:01 If you can't be bothered to use a brush of course you can use your fingers but in fact
07:05 I think it's quicker to use a brush. You get a much better finished effect and you start
07:12 from the centre of the face and move to the outer edges. What's important is to put the
07:23 base mix with the prime in that area of the face that people are going to see first and
07:29 then smooth it out to the outer edges. Mixing the prime and the base is a fantastic tip
07:43 because the base tends to glide on very smoothly. It will last all day and possibly into the
07:49 evening if you don't have time to retouch it and it fills in any fine lines or pores
07:54 that you might have on your face so that it creates a much smoother surface on your skin
08:01 and finish. What you're doing with the base is you're evening out the skin tone. Remember
08:13 as we get older what people notice first is our skin tone so it's really important that
08:18 you have a nice even skin tone and this is the best way to get it. If you have any blemishes
08:26 or any patches or any redness, the density of our base is such that it will actually
08:33 cover without any problems. So you can see that what's happening here with Barbara is
08:43 that her skin tone is now unified and she looks fresh and glowing in fact. And now if
08:53 you have time, add a little bit of concealer in those places where you think you need a
09:00 bit of extra help. If you don't have time, just use the base and that will probably be
09:05 sufficient. But if you'd like a much smoother and more finished effect, a small amount of
09:13 concealer just patted onto the skin after you've applied it with the concealer brush
09:17 will do the trick. Barbara doesn't need very much, just that small amount on that cheek
09:22 will do the trick. And now she's going to have some blush on and I would say however
09:27 hard pressed for time you are, always put some blush on. It literally brings the face
09:34 to life. And where you push it, on top of the cheekbones, in an arc of colour and around
09:44 and up and level with your eyes at the side and you can even bring it up slightly higher.
09:51 There you go, that didn't take very long and as you can see it literally has brought Barbara's
10:01 face to life. It looks very pretty. Now hopefully before you started you put a little bit of
10:10 lip prime on, which is a good idea and let that dry thoroughly and now we're going to
10:17 put some lipstick on. If you haven't got the time to bother with a lip brush and a lot
10:22 of people won't have, don't worry, you can just use it direct from the container. Having
10:31 used the lip prime first, you'll find that you'll get a nice sharp edge without too many
10:36 problems. Linda's using a brush just to show you how to apply it, like that. The colour
10:50 that we're using on Barbara is Soft Plum. This is a perfect colour for her hair, her
10:56 skin tone and it goes with the blush that she's got, which is Rosy Glow.
11:02 So I'm just going to do a little bit of a base coat and then I'm going to put some lipstick
11:08 on. I'm just going to put a little bit of that on the side of the brush and I'm just
11:14 going to put a little bit of the lipstick on the brush and then I'm just going to put
11:18 a little bit of the lipstick on the brush and then I'm just going to put a little bit
11:22 of the lipstick on the brush and then I'm just going to put a little bit of the lipstick
11:26 on the brush and then I'm just going to put a little bit of the lipstick on the brush
11:33 and then I'm just going to put a little bit of the lipstick on the brush and then I'm
11:34 just going to put a little bit of the lipstick on the brush and then I'm just going to put
11:35 a little bit of the lipstick on the brush and then I'm just going to put a little bit
11:36 of the lipstick on the brush and then I'm just going to put a little bit of the lipstick
11:37 on the brush and then I'm just going to put a little bit of the lipstick on the brush
11:38 and then I'm just going to put a little bit of the lipstick on the brush and then I'm
11:39 just going to put a little bit of the lipstick on the brush and then I'm just going to put
11:40 a little bit of the lipstick on the brush and then I'm just going to put a little bit
11:41 of the lipstick on the brush and then I'm just going to put a little bit of the lipstick
12:07 on the brush and then I'm just going to put a little bit of the lipstick on the brush
12:14 and then I'm just going to put a little bit of the lipstick on the brush and then I'm
12:15 just going to put a little bit of the lipstick on the brush and then I'm just going to put
12:16 a little bit of the lipstick on the brush and then I'm just going to put a little bit
12:17 of the lipstick on the brush and then I'm just going to put a little bit of the lipstick
12:18 on the brush and then I'm just going to put a little bit of the lipstick on the brush
12:19 and then I'm just going to put a little bit of the lipstick on the brush and then I'm
12:20 just going to put a little bit of the lipstick on the brush and then I'm just going to
12:21 put a little bit of the lipstick on the brush and then I'm just going to put a little
12:22 bit of the lipstick on the brush and then I'm just going to put a little bit of the
