00:00 Hey everyone!
00:09 Today's video is a Kendall Jenner makeup and hair tutorial inspired by her Allure magazine
00:14 cover this month and she looks absolutely stunning.
00:17 Her makeup is all matte, she has thick black eyeliner all around her eyes, bold brows,
00:23 peachy nude lips and bouncy curls in her hair.
00:27 So getting started with the makeup, the first thing I'm going to do is I'm just applying
00:32 a shadow all over my eyelid that's pretty close to my natural skin color.
00:40 She doesn't really have much shadow on her eyes so I'm not going to be doing any dramatic
00:44 eye shadow at all.
00:45 It's really all about the smudged eye liner.
00:49 Now I'm just adding just for depth in the crease, just a darker color, it's really a
00:57 light brown just to, like I said, just define the crease a little bit.
01:11 And now I'm adding just a light highlight color in the corner of my eye and then of
01:24 course underneath my brow just to brighten everything up.
01:30 And as you can see because I'm using such light colors everything is blending together
01:34 pretty nicely.
01:35 And now I'm using a kohl black eyeliner and I'm going to apply this all around my eye,
01:43 on my water lines and all along the lash line.
01:47 And I'm doing this pretty thick but trying to keep it, you know, I'm not trying to make
01:53 it messy because her eye liner isn't too, too smudged.
01:57 It's just nice and thick.
02:18 And now I'm taking a smudging brush and lightly smudging this eyeliner all around my eyes.
02:35 Again, not, you know, smudging it too much just so it's smudged out just a tiny, tiny
02:43 bit.
02:44 And I am doing this all around my eyes where I applied the eyeliner.
03:00 And now I'm going to go in with that same smudging brush.
03:03 I picked up some black eyeshadow and I'm going to put that black eyeshadow all over the eyeliner
03:14 as well just to intensify the eyeliner a little bit more.
03:35 Now I'm going to put on a good lengthening and thickening mascara.
03:38 I'm using the Makeup Forever Smokey Eye Extravagant Mascara.
03:43 I believe it's called.
03:44 I'm going to do this to my top lashes as well as my lower lashes.
04:13 And now I'm using a brow gel.
04:17 This is from L'Oreal.
04:18 It's called the Brow Stylist Plumper Brow Gel Mascara.
04:22 This is my first time using it.
04:23 I actually mentioned this in my last video which was a drugstore haul.
04:29 And I do like it.
04:30 It definitely fills my brows in and does make them look a little bit thicker.
04:35 And I'm just taking my time because like I said, this is my first time using it.
04:39 And now I am going to, I'm only using bronzer here.
04:44 I'm going to lightly contour my face but I'm also using the bronzer as kind of a blush
04:49 because on her cover she doesn't really have a noticeable blush on.
04:54 But her skin definitely looks slightly bronzed.
05:11 And now I'm going to take a powder highlighter.
05:13 This is MAC's Soft and Gentle and I'm applying this to my cheekbones, my forehead, down my
05:20 nose, my chin, everywhere the light would hit.
05:35 And now I'm applying a matte lip color.
05:37 This is Revlon Color Burst Matte Balm in the color Complex.
05:41 I'm applying it all over my lips.
05:43 It's a nice light color which goes well with the smoky eyes.
05:49 And here I'm just going to pat the lip color in.
05:52 I think it makes it look softer and helps the color set in just a little bit better.
05:59 And now the makeup look is complete.
06:02 It's very easy to do as you can see.
06:06 And now we are going to move on to hair.
06:09 And I'm going to be curling my hair so I am going to put a heat protectant in it.
06:14 This is the Paul Mitchell Aoikui Wild Ginger Shine Spray.
06:18 It's great because it conditions the hair, it adds a lot of shine, it is a heat protectant
06:23 of course, and it smells really, really good.
06:26 So I'm going to spray that all over and then I'm going to brush it through my hair.
06:41 And now I'm going to be using a couple of products that I did talk about in my last
06:45 beauty talk video.
06:46 This first one, this is the L'Oreal Boosted High Lift Creation Spray.
06:51 I'm going to be taking this and spraying it at my roots, in my crown, and some on the
06:58 sides of my hair just to add a little bit more oomph and volume.
07:02 And as you can see, I'm just spraying it in and then working it in with my fingers.
07:08 And you can see it does add a lot of volume.
07:10 Her hair on the cover is very thick and full and so I am using this to give that same fullness.
07:19 And of course, the curls will help add a lot of volume to the hair as well.
07:30 Her hair is not wavy, it is definitely very, very curly.
07:35 So again, I'm just going to brush my hair through one more time and now I'm going to
07:39 section it.
07:41 Starting about my eyebrow level, I'm going to take a top section and pin that up.
07:52 And since her hair is very curly, like I said, not wavy, I'm going to be using a smaller
07:57 curling iron.
07:58 This is a Hot Tools Curling Iron and it's a one inch one.
08:05 And I'll show you how I'm going to curl it, but then I'm going to speed up the video here
08:09 in a minute.
08:10 But you can see I'm starting towards my root and feeding my hair through as I go down.
08:17 This is better for your hair because you don't want too much heat towards the ends of your
08:23 hair that can damage the ends.
08:26 But yeah, I'm going to do that all the way around my hair in sections.
08:32 And as you can see, I am curling all of my hair away from my face and my hair holds curl
08:38 pretty well, so I don't need to hold the curling iron on my hair for too long.
08:43 So depending on how well your hair holds curl will depend, of course, on how long you hold
08:49 the curling iron on.
08:53 But like I said, you don't want to leave it on your ends too long.
08:57 Your ends are very fragile, so you definitely want to start curling your hair towards the
09:02 root and then just feed the hair down.
09:06 So now on this side of my face, I'm curling that hair, again, like on the other side,
09:11 away from my face.
09:12 And now I'm just taking down more sections and I'm just going to continue to put the
09:18 curls in my hair.
09:26 Also starting the curls close to the root will add a lot of volume at the top of the
09:32 hair as well.
09:43 And this is my last section, I'm just going to continue to curl the hair.
10:07 This is creating lots of ringlets all over, all over as you can see.
10:26 And this is what it looks like now.
10:27 And now I'm going to use the trick that I also talked about in my last Beauty Talk video.
10:33 So I'm going to spray my hair with a hairspray.
10:36 I'm using the L'Oreal Elmette Satin.
10:38 So I'm going to spray this all over to hold the curl well.
10:49 And then I'm going to be taking a styling oil.
10:53 I'm going to be using the oil that I talked about, the Matrix Exquisite Oil.
10:58 I'm going to put a couple of pumps of this in my hand and rub it between my hands and
11:04 then finger comb, finger comb it all through my hair.
11:08 And you will see this does not take the curl out.
11:13 It will add some more shine and it will keep my hair and the curls from becoming frizzy.
11:21 So now I'm just going to, you know, use my fingers and get my hair the way I want it
11:29 to look.
11:30 I'm going to play with it a little bit.
11:32 Her hair doesn't really have a part, a noticeable part in the cover, so I'm just playing with
11:37 it and getting it exactly how I want it.
11:44 I love curly hair like this.
11:46 I think it's really fun to play with, as you can see.
11:59 And there we go.
12:00 The look is complete.
12:01 Thank you so much for watching, hope you enjoyed!
