00:00 it clean nothing low watch your heads when I say break take a step back most important defend
00:03 yourself at all times. Well this is a much anticipated debut for Tori Ellis Willetts
00:11 another one as we've been saying with a great amateur pedigree it does make a difference
00:16 as they make the transition into the pro ranks. GB podium fighter formerly
00:20 two-time senior elite ABA champion watched one of those actually when she beat Chloe Watson who's
00:29 now forging out a successful professional career under the tutelage of Ricky Hatton and Blaine
00:36 Eunice of course out of Hatton's gym in Hyde she beat Chloe Watson for that ABA title
00:41 and so a very very good amateur background quality operator and let's see what she can
00:47 bring she they have chosen for her Hannah a tough opponent for a debut the Slovakian
00:54 30 years old Claudia Ferenczi and 130 pounds so um it's not not easy have they been any stretch
01:02 no um and Claudia is a very uh durable opponent she always turns up to fight and uh she's been
01:08 in with some of the top names um in the UK but that was just uh obviously just over committed
01:15 over a front foot and lost a foot in there that was not a yeah not a knockdown just lost a foot
01:19 in slightly but yeah sorry you were saying she has been the likes of Lisa Whiteside she's been
01:24 in of course a former GB boxer herself and world silver medalist and European champion uh multiple
01:31 senior titles at different weights Lisa Whiteside at quality yeah world class fighter Carla Skelly
01:36 Amy Timlin and also Emma Dolan who most recently won the Commonwealth uh title so yeah she's
01:43 absolutely been in there with uh with some quality operators hasn't she she won't be fazed by this
01:48 not at all no and you know I think this is a great first like you know debut fight for Toria
01:55 especially with the her experience in the amateur game so you know it's it's a good opponent for her
01:59 to showcase what she can really do especially on her debut so yeah I've been really looking
02:04 forward to this one I think watching this Debbie she has an odd technique for that uh jab for exit
02:11 it's sort of she flicks it out and you know what I mean she didn't seem to commit with it
02:15 seems to come from quite a strange angle and I think that's a you know that's not going to deter
02:20 Toria with bullets at all I think she can just wade through that jab yeah I know what that was
02:24 a very impressive first round Jamie and six other boxers former GB fighter I started following her
02:33 yesterday on social media I've heard lots of things about the girl and then I've seen the
02:37 comments of Paul Bennett there's a little girl boxing coach who's a GB a top GB coach so he said
02:46 some nice words about the song yeah yeah I was impressed in that ABA final against uh Chloe
02:55 Watson and equally you know boxed the international level very exciting upcoming fight so that was a
03:02 great uh ABA title fight you know because the two of them were coming through the ranks there's a
03:07 lot of people talking about them and they met in the final it was a great final back in 2019 that
03:12 was in in Manchester as it happens and so um you know she's just continued uh ascendancy from there
03:19 but um let's see how she applies herself now in her debut six twos this one two minute rounds of
03:23 course for the women uh first one under her belt she'd be pleased to have got that one under her
03:28 belt it's always good to get the first round out of the way on your debut settle those nerves warm
03:32 to the task and start to show what you're capable of and then as Anna said then it's about you know
03:36 obviously the opponent's very very experienced but she'll get more out of it instead of going in
03:41 there blasting someone out in 30 seconds and she could have been doing that as an amateur and that's
03:46 the difference isn't it Debbie when you when you're learning on the job so to speak and you haven't
03:50 had that amateur pedigree in your background you do need to take very careful choices with your
03:55 opponents but with somebody with her amateur background she can go straight in on six twos
04:00 and start with a experienced opponent and she's got to learn to do two minute rounds again yeah
04:07 come up from three minute rounds as a lead senior female you do three minutes then in
04:12 into professionals you do two so you've got to adapt to that and start the pace it's interesting
04:16 isn't it because i don't know about you Hannah but when i trained in our gym because being the only
04:21 female i trained with with the lads and we we trained three minute rounds all the time and it
04:26 was only in the last two to three weeks that i would start shifting to two minute rounds because
04:31 obviously there is a difference and i'd need to be able to step up that tempo yeah to fight for
04:37 the two minute rounds but you know and the sparring we would always do with two minute rounds but all
04:41 of my training was threes but do you vary it at all so my all my training like you know bags and
04:48 pads and stuff we do three minute rounds for the conditioning side of things but all sparring is
04:52 two minutes and um and i think a lot of the women probably do that because that's exactly what we
04:56 did i would love three minute rounds we did three minute rounds everything training other than
05:00 sparring because you do need to replicate in sparring what you're going to do on fight night
05:04 on fact that'd be interesting to see what what other women choose to do i suppose but
05:08 um that is that is how we used to do it the sparring is two minutes the rest of it was uh was
05:12 threes but i train i train a female i will do two minutes everything we do in two minutes and that's
05:19 the the various doesn't it it's um just just cause i just feel she'll get more larger in two minutes
05:28 larger than you a marathon runner wouldn't run a marathon every day or more than a marathon i think
05:34 what we have in the back of our mind because when i first turned pro it was 2017 and there was only
05:41 five other pro females in the uk with you know the license i was only number six so we didn't know
05:48 because it was all happening happening very rapidly i'll be gonna quickly go to three minute
05:53 rounds and i won't be ready for it it looks now like they are going to stick with the two minute
05:58 round because regardless of all the developments of happening they seem to be sticking to that
06:03 which is is fine but we thought because it was early doors what if suddenly they say threes and
06:07 i've i've not been doing it so we we kind of want it to be in between so that it won't be too much
06:12 of a shock if they did indeed choose to go to threes so um but yeah it'd be interesting to see
06:17 what they do but we're moving into the third round now of course two opening solid rounds for tori
06:22 ellis well it's um although forensic is a durable and game opponent there's not much to come back and
06:29 little bit a little bit lax sometimes with that uh that jab which is letting her know
06:35 letting tori know she's in range and tori's coming back firing with some of those powerful
06:38 backhands in return i think um also you can see that tori's got some power i think um forensic
06:45 is uh definitely uh showing that she's i think she's getting hurt by some of these shots um and
06:52 it would be a real it'd be a real like statement from tori if she managed to get a stoppage with
06:56 i think as this goes on and she's getting more tired we're seeing that that jab that the technique
07:03 become poorer yeah uh you know if i can put it that way from frank it's a bit of a pouring type
07:08 of it's poor technically isn't it it's yeah it's a poor jab and that's the the basis with which to
07:14 mount your attacks off keep your opponent at bay and at least give you something to think about
07:19 and i think because the jab is so poor from forensic there's nothing to respect and nothing
07:24 to stop tori ellis well it's and she's able to tee off at will isn't she and she's you know she's
07:28 happy to keep coming at her and load up with these shots the heavy some of these shots that will it's
07:32 his uh landing on her nice to see her going to the body as well she's got a little nasty streak
07:36 in her as well which is quite a bit of venom i like to see i love that inner yeah you know she
07:43 can box she can do everything but she's got a little bit nasty in there which is very good
07:46 yeah it's good to see and as we've been saying you know not every opponent is going to be here
07:50 just to survive and let you do what you want and bring the pace down they're going to come at you
07:54 and you've got to be ready to meet that fire with fire and it looks like ellis will it's will which
07:59 we would expect having had that amateur background she'll be keen won't she yeah hannah given the
08:05 background that she's had in the amateurs to fast track and get on with her pro career 27 years old
08:10 now of course so she'll be wanting to get on with it won't she make a statement here and start moving
08:14 up absolutely and you know she's um just signed to to have some fights with uh fire academy it's a
08:21 new signing for us so it's very very exciting and i think they're going to give her the platform she
08:26 deserves right before the bell to mark the end of the third round real statement i agree because
08:36 you know she's she's seen the distance for xc with a number of top class operators so to do that on
08:43 your debut for tori ellis will it is a great performance anyway she went about it with great
08:48 technique great style great flair great range of shots she was accurate she was composed moving in
08:55 and out of range footwork in every department she was superior and went about the business in a very
09:00 impressive manner but that would have been great anyway to get the stoppage really makes a statement
09:06 on her debut and that folks is why we have been so excited to see the long-awaited debut of tori
09:13 ellis will it's because that is what we have in store what a fighter i think that was an exciting
09:19 fact that's a master statement you only have to look at the the opponents of opposition who she's
09:24 been in with who haven't stopped that and to get a stoppage on your debut is very very impressive
09:30 yeah yeah the top fighters in this way in in the uk have been in with her and you know not managed to
09:36 stop us it's a great statement let's get the result from mc aki kareem
09:39 official time one minute 58 of the third round your winner and now one and oh as a professional
09:55 by tko tori ellis willis
10:00 very very impressive debut not only superior in every department and put on a great display
10:10 but got the stoppage against a renowned experienced
