00:00 My name is Jacob Lyons. I go by Kujo. I am the head judge at our World Danceport Federation event here in Montpellier.
00:09 This is the Breaking for Gold World Series event.
00:12 So we had around 80 b-boys and around, if I recall correctly, 50 b-girls.
00:18 From there, we take the top 32 of each.
00:23 In reality, we take the top 16 of each because we have 16 seated people that did not need to go through the preselection.
00:31 And from there, once we have the top 16 for each gender, we do what's called a round robin.
00:38 Each of the dancers in the group of four needs to go against the other three in that four.
00:47 And they are accumulating points by winning as many rounds as they possibly can.
00:52 From there, we pick the top two from each group to then have the top eight, which continues into the remainder of the competition.
