01:22 OK.
01:23 I forgot about this stage.
01:24 If you're going to go with the colored contacts,
01:26 put them in before you put on any makeup whatsoever,
01:30 because you need your hands to not have any chemicals on them
01:33 before you stick those in your eyes.
01:35 I want to try and get a close-up here.
01:37 I don't know if it will, but you can see the mask is already
01:40 starting to goop up and stick to itself in spots, which is fine.
01:45 I mean, even if you wanted to just do the mask
01:47 and then put on some colored foundation makeup to blend it in
01:51 and then start applying colored makeup just over the mask,
01:54 you can, even if you poke it in spots and just start to pull.
01:58 You'll get this kind of effect, and the skin will just
02:01 start dimpling and stuff.
02:03 And once you start color affecting that, like if you lift it up
02:06 a little bit, you can put some red under there or some black
02:08 or something.
02:09 It's not going anywhere until you actually peel it off.
02:12 But I've been doing this, trying to get my face to crinkle up
02:17 a little bit.
02:19 And clearly my face could use this mask, because it looks disgusting.
02:22 Next step, I put on my foundation makeup, I guess,
02:26 to try and start blending everything in.
02:28 You can see up around my eyes, I actually started to peel
02:32 a bit of the mask away, and I'm going to leave it like that,
02:35 because I think I like that.
02:38 Okay, next up, I'm going to put some powder on to set this.
02:42 And then we'll be going to latex.
02:45 So I just set it with some powder, but then I also went on
02:49 and did bronzing powder, so it's kind of dark in some spots.
02:54 We're just working on layering and building up some color.
02:57 Alright, you can see I've put a layer of latex.
03:01 First you do a layer of latex, let it dry, then you put another layer on,
03:06 and then you can stick the tissue paper, toilet paper,
03:10 anything you want to it.
03:12 So what I'm doing right now is I'm building up a--sorry--
03:15 I'm building up a decrepit skin sort of thing.
03:19 I've also put a layer of latex on the bottom half of my face,
03:22 just above my lip, under my nose, all the way across.
03:26 So we're going to have a full-on peeling everything away,
03:30 and then around my eyes and everything we're going to do a lot of
03:34 blood tones and stuff to make it look like my face is starting to
03:38 peel off from the eyeballs and down.
03:42 You know, a typical look for a Friday night.
03:46 Next up--just really quickly going to show you what I did
03:48 and where I'm putting my latex, so you can follow along
03:51 with what I'm doing here.
03:53 I'm wearing strapless wedding dress, so this is going to have to
03:56 shovel a bit down here too.
04:00 What I've found so far is the more layers you put on,
04:03 the easier it is to grab and peel off.
04:05 It sticks worse than duct tape, so be prepared for a lot of pain,
04:08 especially if you have a lot of hair on your body.
04:11 I think I've taken more than enough hair off my body,
04:14 since this is the third time in the last two weeks that I've done this.
04:18 But yeah, so I'm going to throw a hair dryer on and dry this up
04:22 and get on to putting this layered effect also down here
04:28 on the bottom half of my face.
04:30 I put my layers on, as you can see.
04:32 It's going down my neck, so what we're going to do is start adding
04:35 a little grit along here with some oatmeal mixed with latex,
04:39 just to look really peeled up and everything.
04:43 I put on some more foundation over top of the tissue paper
04:47 and some powder.
04:48 What I noticed with a couple zombies before was that
04:52 some of their makeup started peeling away and you could see white.
04:56 So I'm going to set skin tone underneath.
05:00 So if it does peel, hopefully it'll be a skin tone color instead.
05:07 Cross fingers.
05:09 Okay.
05:11 Next up, I'm going to add a little bit to my nose.
05:13 I'm going to go down here and just have this area bloody red
05:20 and the rest will be scabby gray with bits of blood and stuff.
05:26 It's fun to improvise.
05:27 You just start and it creates its own mess.
05:32 I'm not wearing too much right here because I'm wearing a huge veil.
05:36 But I am going to get it colored once everyone starts showing up.
05:39 I'm going to get them to help me.
05:41 I've been working on this for two hours,
05:43 and I foresee another about four hours before I can start on someone else.
05:50 All right. On to the next thing.
05:52 Okay. So now I've got the oatmeal planted in and around
05:56 where it's going to be super icky.
05:58 A couple hanging spots here and there.
06:01 Going down. It's framing everything.
06:04 So you can see my skin is like--
06:07 [gurgling]
06:10 Trust me, it looks so stupid right now,
06:12 but it will get better. It always does.
06:16 All right. I've added an awful lot of stuff.
06:19 What I've done over the red now is just added a layer of latex.
06:22 I'm going to let that dry,
06:24 and that should help stretch and pinch the skin under there a little bit
06:28 so it'll look more burnt and stuff.
06:30 Let's see.
06:32 I've added some black, just shading around the big clumps and stuff like that.
06:37 Now, when we actually get to adding in the green and the browns,
06:40 that's going to blend out a lot more.
06:42 See right here, it just looks like a trail of gray crap around my neck.
06:46 [laughs]
06:48 Oh, BS. You can't smile anymore when she does that.
06:51 It's my smile.
06:53 [laughs]
06:55 Oh my goodness.
07:00 All right. People are showing up, so I'm going to show you this.
07:05 The last step, really, is just going on color.
07:09 I've got a bright greenish, like swampy green,
07:14 brown, black, and red, and gray,
07:20 which is pretty much it for now.
07:23 Then, when we're about ready to head out the door,
07:27 this is all going to get fake-blooded from here down under your eyes.
07:31 You don't want to get in your eyes.
07:33 Then, I'm going to add molasses from all of the oatmeal
07:37 and stay within the oatmeal spots, and that will all be molasses.
07:41 Oh, I've got my hair.
07:44 I'll be pulling this down, too.
07:46 We'll see. We'll do a shoot before we go.
07:50 Okay, here's the last shot.
07:53 I showed you every single step along the way tonight.
07:56 All this is right here is a little bit of fake-blooded from your eyes,
08:00 a little bit of molasses down here.
08:02 It absolutely adds to the texture and context of the zombie.
08:06 I'd absolutely smile and cheers you with a wine glass,
08:10 but it honestly feels like I've had Botox injections
08:13 once you get the latex on your face.
08:15 You cannot smile anymore.
08:16 If you smile, you're going to wreck your latex.
08:19 You need to be dead for the rest of the night.
