00:00 Hey guys, welcome back to my channel. So today's video is going to be a makeup
00:04 tutorial and hair tutorial inspired by lovely mermaids. I figured summer's not
00:09 over yet so why not do something fun and summery to celebrate the last few weeks
00:14 of summer. So I basically put together this look inspired by beautiful mermaids
00:18 and their fins and tails and all that good stuff. So let's get started. I'm
00:23 first gonna start off with this NYX HD primer for my eyes. My eyebrows are
00:27 already filled in as I usually do before and I'm just gonna slap that all on the
00:31 eyes to prep for eyeshadow to keep them on longer and stronger. And once that is
00:38 on our eyes we're actually gonna go in with another bright base. This is the
00:41 NYX jumbo eye pencil in the shade milk. We're using this because we're using a
00:45 lot of bright colors for this look and we want them to stand out and pop. So
00:48 we're gonna put this white base down to really make those bright colors pop off
00:53 of the eyes and don't get washed out and all that. So the first color we're gonna
00:57 take is creme brulee from Makeup Geek on this Sigma E40 brush and we're just
01:01 gonna blend that all up into our crease as our transition shade. This is gonna
01:05 help the other brighter colors fade into each other a little better and just make
01:09 it look not too over-the-top. And then we're gonna take mango tango from Makeup
01:13 Geek on an E25 Sigma brush and we're gonna put this directly into the crease.
01:17 This is kind of a brighter kind of coral shade but still kind of looks natural
01:22 when you blend it out into the crease and that's what I wanted. I wanted a
01:25 bright color that wasn't too over-the-top for the crease area so that
01:29 it kind of made it look okay. Then we're gonna take Neptune from Makeup Geek
01:33 on this tapered small tapered brush from Sigma. We're gonna go directly into the
01:38 crease with this color. It's coming off more purple on camera than it actually
01:42 is. It's a it's kind of like a more blue tone than what it looks like here but
01:47 we're gonna put that on into the crease mostly in the outer corner and then
01:50 we're gonna blend it out. Now I'm gonna take this shade of mermaid from Makeup
01:54 Geek which is basically the whole center of the look and it's this beautiful gold
01:58 shimmery aqua color. We're gonna place that all over the lid with a Sigma E55.
02:03 This is definitely the showcase of the look and the whole reason I even decided
02:07 to do this makeup look was because of this eyeshadow. So then I'm taking my E40
02:11 again and just blending all those edges out so that it looks nice and seamless.
02:15 And then I'm gonna go into my electric palette from Urban Decay and take
02:20 Jilted on that same small tapered eye brush. We're gonna go back into the
02:23 crease just because I wanted it to be a little bit more purple. Sorry about my
02:27 phone going off in the back. And I'm just gonna put that directly into the crease
02:31 to add a little bit more depth and a little bit more of a purple mermaid tone
02:35 because I don't know I feel like purple is another mermaid mermaid-y color. And I
02:39 went back with that brush that had Mango Tango on it and blended out the edges.
02:43 Now to highlight under the brow bone we're gonna take Shimma Shimma from
02:46 Makeup Geek which is probably the best highlight color of all time. We're just
02:50 gonna take that right under the brow bone to highlight the eye. And I wanted
02:54 this whole look to be pretty shimmery so now I'm taking this MAC pressed pigment
02:58 in Lime Ice or Mint Ice. I can't remember the name of it. But I'm taking that on my
03:02 finger and just pressing that over the entire look to just add like an overlay of
03:07 sparkle. And I actually love how this turned out. It looks so amazing. And so
03:12 now I'm gonna take some mascara and just coat my lashes to prep for falsies
03:16 because I feel like mermaids just would always have ginormous lashes. Is that just
03:21 me? I don't know. We're gonna take these cream 747Ls and pop those on and
03:26 give us some nice long wispy mermaid lashes. I don't even know if mermaid
03:31 lashes is a thing but whatever. Now we're gonna start on the skin. I'm gonna take
03:34 this Dr. Jart Pore-Medic primer and put that in my t-zone mainly just to fill in
03:39 my pores and make my skin look nice and smooth. And then I'm gonna go in with
03:43 this L'Oreal Magic Lumi Primer and put that on the rest of my face because I
03:47 don't know about you but I think mermaids would have a hella glow. So
03:50 let's give as much glow as possible. So I'm putting that on the skin and then
03:54 we're gonna go in with NARS Sheer Glow Foundation on a Beauty Blender and put
03:57 that all over the skin because I feel like this is what mermaids would wear if
04:01 they wore makeup. My stereotypical mermaid things. I don't really know if
04:07 they make sense but it's okay. So I'm just popping that all over the skin and
04:10 now we're gonna highlight and conceal under the eyes with the NYX HD
04:14 Photogenic Concealer in the shade Light. And yeah we're just gonna conceal all
04:18 over the face and blender, blender, blender. And now I'm gonna just set that
04:23 under eye concealer with the Banana Powder from the Anastasia Beverly Hills
04:27 Contour Kit just quickly so that it doesn't move and we're gonna move back
04:30 onto the eyes after this after this. So I don't want it to move anywhere so I'm
04:35 just taking that powder and pressing it all up into that concealer. Now on a
04:38 pencil brush we're gonna take that mermaid color again and very liberally
04:41 distribute it under on the bottom lash line. I almost poked myself in the eye
04:46 there. But yeah we're just gonna very heavily put it down there. I feel like it
04:49 should just be nice and blown out. So I'm gonna take that brush that had Mango
04:52 Tango on it. No additional product just whatever was left on the brush and we're
04:56 just gonna blend out the edges of that mermaid color under the eye. And now to
04:59 give a little extra sparkle I'm taking this Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter
05:02 Liner. I can't remember the name of it but I'll list it down below. I'm just
05:05 gonna top off that lower lash line to give it a little bit of extra sparkle
05:09 and glitz. So we're just gonna take that along the entire lower lash line and
05:14 pile on as much as you want. I did quite a bit but if you only want to do a
05:18 little that's fine. And then I popped on some mascara on my lower lashes just to
05:22 make them stand out and look nice and not spiky but nice and feathered out.
05:27 And now to bronze up the face I'm gonna use my Vincent Longo Copper Kiss
05:31 Bronzer on my large tapered face brush from Sigma. And we're just gonna bronze
05:36 up the whole skin because mermaids would definitely be tan if they're in the
05:39 water all day. So we're gonna bronze up the whole skin including the nose and
05:43 then I'm gonna take this small tapered brush from Sigma again and just contour
05:49 the cheeks a little bit more. And now for blush I chose Milani's Luminoso
05:53 because it's just the most beautiful glowy coral color and I thought it was
05:57 just a perfect mermaid blush color. So I'm popping that on the cheeks with a
06:01 Sigma F40 brush. And then to highlight I very liberally chose my Mary Luminizer
06:08 from the Balm and put that all over my face. I gave myself as much glow as
06:12 possible. I'm putting this on with my small tapered face brush from Sigma and
06:17 all of the brushes I'm using in this video are actually from the Sigma
06:21 Premium Kit so I'll link that down below because if you are new to makeup and you
06:25 want a good brush kit it is definitely the one you should get. And
06:28 then I took that Mary Luminizer on the inner corner of my eye as well. Now I'm
06:32 lining my lips with a Rose lip liner from from NYX just to prep for the
06:36 chubby pencil we'll be using. I like to line my lips before I use chubby pencils
06:39 just because they can go outside the lines very quickly and I like to keep it
06:43 nice and neat. And so then I'm gonna take my Too Faced Lip Injection Color Bomb
06:47 and I think it's called Candy Burst or something like that and I'm gonna pop
06:51 that on the lips. It's a nice pinky coral color and I'm gonna top it all off with
06:55 NYX Butter Gloss in Peaches and Cream. I kind of took inspiration from like the
06:59 coral reef in the sea to do like coral lips and cheeks so that's where I got
07:04 that color combo from. And then I'm gonna finish everything off with the NYX
07:08 Dewy Finish Setting Spray to give ourselves even more of a glow. I don't
07:11 know why I think mermaids are so glowy but I just feel like they really are. So
07:16 now we're gonna move on to the hair. I've already clipped in my Estelle Secrets
07:19 clip-in extensions. Now I'm just gonna take a comb and part my hair down the
07:24 middle and then I'm gonna take my Tangle Teaser brush and just brush out all of
07:27 the knots in my hair because today I was having a very fluffy hair day. And now
07:31 I'm gonna take my NuMe Titan 3 wand with a 19 millimeter inch, wait,
07:37 millimeter inch, no, 19 millimeter wand thing and I'm wrapping my like big
07:43 pieces of my hair around it first backwards and then we're gonna alternate
07:46 between wrapping it backwards away from the face and wrapping it
07:50 towards the face. And you also want to take however big or small sections you
07:54 kind of want to alternate it because mermaid hair I feel like is very messy
07:58 and like not really structured. So you basically just want to curl various
08:02 sizes of hair, like various size pieces of hair and then backwards and forwards
08:08 so that it's kind of not as structured, not as like perfected. You want it to be
08:13 like big and messy beachy waves. Not really big. I want it to do tighter curls
08:17 because I feel like if you're in the water all day your hair will definitely
08:20 curl up like a mermaid. So I'm just curling my whole head on this. Yeah so, yeah so, yeah so, yeah so, yeah so, yeah so, yeah so, yeah so, yeah so, yeah so, yeah so, yeah so, yeah so, yeah so, yeah so, yeah so, yeah so, yeah so, yeah so, yeah so, we're just gonna do that throughout the entire head. And then
08:47 once all of my curls are locked into place I'm gonna take this Aussie Instant
08:51 Freeze hairspray just to spray my whole head so that these curls don't go
08:55 anywhere. And then I just took some pins and pinned the back so that, I don't know, I
09:00 just didn't want it in my face and I thought it looked cuter this way so I
09:03 just took a few bobby pins and clipped my bangs and like the front sections of my
09:07 hair back and I love the way it came out. And then I just took my fingers and ran
09:11 it through the curls so that I could break them up a little bit and make them
09:13 a little more voluminous. And that's basically it for the look guys. I hope
09:17 you enjoyed it. Please give this video a thumbs up if you did and subscribe to my
09:20 channel if you're not already and thank you all so much for watching. Bye guys!
09:40 bronze up the whole skin because mermaids would definitely be tan if
09:44 they're in the water all day so we're gonna bronze up the whole skin including
09:48 the nose and then I'm gonna take this small tapered brush from Sigma again and
09:53 just contour the cheeks a little bit more and now for blush I chose Milani's
09:58 Luminoso because it's just the most beautiful glowy coral color and I
10:02 thought it was just a perfect mermaid blush color so I'm popping that on the
10:06 cheeks with a Sigma f40 brush and then to highlight I very liberally chose my
10:12 Mary Lou Manizer from the balm and put that all over my face I gave myself as
10:16 much a glow as possible I'm putting this on with my small tapered face brush from
10:22 Sigma and all of the brushes I'm using in this video are actually from the Sigma
10:27 premium kit so I'll link that down below because if you are new to makeup and you
10:31 want a good brush kit it is death that is definitely the one you should get and
10:34 then I took that Mary Lou Manizer on the inner corner of my eye as well now I'm
10:37 lining my lips with a rose lip liner from from NYX just to prep for the
10:41 chubby pencil we'll be using I like to line my lips before I use chubby pencils
10:45 just because they can go outside the lines very quickly and I like to keep it
10:48 nice and neat and so then I'm gonna take my Too Faced lip injection color bomb
10:52 and I think it's called candy burst or something like that and I'm gonna pop
10:56 that on the lips it's a nice pinky coral color and I'm gonna top it all off with
11:00 NYX butter gloss and peaches and cream I cut hey guys welcome back to my channel
11:05 so today's video is going to be a makeup tutorial and hair tutorial inspired by
11:09 lovely mermaids I figured summer is not over yet so why not do something fun and
11:15 summery to celebrate the last few weeks of summer so I basically put together
11:19 this look inspired by beautiful mermaids and their fins and tails and all that
11:24 good stuff so let's get started I'm first gonna start off with this NYX HD
11:28 primer for my eyes my eyebrows are already filled in as I usually do before
11:32 and I'm just gonna slap that all on the eyes to prep for eyeshadow to keep them
11:38 on longer and stronger and once that is on our eyes we're actually gonna go in
11:43 with another bright base this is the NYX jumbo eye pencil in the shade milk we're
11:47 using this because we're using a lot of bright colors for this look and we want
11:50 them to stand out and pop so we're gonna put this white base down to really make
11:54 those bright colors pop off the eyes and don't get washed out and all that so the
12:00 first color we're gonna take is creme brulee from makeup geek on this Sigma e
12:03 40 brush and we're just gonna blend that all up into our crease as our transition
12:07 shade this is gonna help the other brighter colors fade into each other a
12:11 little better and just make it look not too over-the-top and then we're gonna
12:15 take mango tango from makeup geek on an e25 Sigma brush and we're gonna put this
12:19 directly into the crease this is kind of a brighter kind of coral shade but
12:24 still kind of looks natural when you blend it out into the crease and that's
12:27 what I wanted I wanted a bright color that wasn't too over-the-top for the
12:31 crease area so that it kind of made it look okay then we're gonna take Neptune
12:35 from the makeup geek on this tapered small tapered brush from Sigma I'm gonna
12:40 go directly into the crease with this color it's coming off more purple on
12:44 camera than it actually is it's a it's kind of like a more blue tone than what
12:49 it looks like here but we're gonna put that on into the crease mostly in the
12:53 outer corner and then we're gonna blend it out now I'm gonna take this shade
12:56 mermaid from makeup geek which is basically the whole center of the look
13:00 and it's this beautiful gold shimmery aqua color and we're gonna place that
13:04 all over the lid with a Sigma e55 this is definitely the showcase of the look
13:08 and the whole reason I even decided to do this makeup look was because of this
13:12 eyeshadow so then I'm taking my e40 again and just blending all those edges
13:16 out so that it looks nice and seamless and then I'm gonna go into my electric
13:22 palette from Urban Decay and take jilted on that same small tapered eye brush
13:25 we're gonna go back into the crease just because I wanted it to be a little bit
13:29 more purple sorry about my phone going off in the back and I'm just gonna put
13:33 that directly into the crease to add a little bit more depth and a little bit
13:37 more of a purple mermaid tone because I don't know I feel like purple is another
13:41 mermaid mermaidy color and I went back with that brush that had mango tango on
13:45 it and blended out the edges now to highlight under the brow bone we're
13:48 gonna take shimma shimma from makeup geek which is probably the highlight
13:51 and conceal under the eyes with the NYX HD photogenic concealer in the shade
13:55 light and yeah we're just gonna conceal all over the face and blender blender
14:00 blender and now I'm gonna just set that under eye concealer with the banana
14:04 powder from the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit just quickly so that it
14:08 doesn't move and we're gonna move back onto the eyes after this after this so I
14:12 don't want it to move anywhere so I'm just taking that powder and pressing it
14:16 all up into that concealer now on a pencil brush we're gonna take that
14:19 mermaid color again and very liberally distribute it under on the bottom lash
14:23 line I almost poked myself in the eye there but yeah we're just gonna very
14:27 heavily put it down there I feel like it should just be nice and blown out so I'm
14:30 gonna take that brush that had mango tango on it no additional product just
14:34 whatever was left on the brush and we're just gonna blend out the edges of that
14:36 mermaid color under the eye and now to give a little extra sparkle I'm taking
14:40 this Urban Decay heavy metal glitter liner I can't remember the name of it
14:43 but I'll list it down below I'm just gonna top off that lower lash line to
14:46 give it a little bit of extra sparkle and glitz so we're just gonna take that
14:51 along the entire lower lash line and pile on as much as you want I did quite
14:56 a bit but if you only want to do a little that's fine and then I popped on
14:59 some mascara on my lower lashes just to make them stand out and look nice and
15:04 not spiky but nice and feathered out and now to bronze up the face I'm gonna
15:09 use my Vincent Longo copper kiss bronzer on my large tapered face brush from
15:14 Sigma and we're just gonna best highlight color of all time we're just
15:17 gonna take that right under the brow bone to highlight the eye and I wanted
15:21 this whole look to be pretty shimmery so now I'm taking this Mac pressed pigment
15:25 in lime ice or mint ice I can't remember the name of it but I'm taking that on my
15:29 finger and just pressing that over the entire look to just add like overlay of
15:34 sparkle and I actually love how this turned out it looks so amazing and so
15:39 now I'm gonna take some mascara and just coat my lashes to prep for falsies
15:44 because I feel like mermaids just would always have ginormous lashes is that
15:49 just me I don't know we're gonna take these cream 747 L's and pop those on and
15:53 give us some nice long wispy mermaid lashes I don't even know if mermaid
15:58 lashes is a thing but whatever now we're gonna start on the skin I'm gonna take
16:01 this dr. jarrett pore medic primer and put that in my t-zone mainly just to fill
16:06 in my pores and make my skin look nice and smooth and then I'm gonna go in with
16:10 this L'Oreal magic loomy primer and put that on the rest of my face because I
16:14 don't know about you but I think mermaids would have a hella glow so
16:17 let's give as much glow as possible so I'm putting that on the skin and then
16:21 we're gonna go in with NARS sheer glow foundation on a beauty blender and put
16:25 that all over the skin because I feel like this is what mermaids would wear if
16:28 they wore makeup my stereotypical mermaid things I don't really know if
16:34 It makes sense, but it's okay, so I'm just popping that all over the skin and now we're gonna
