00:00 Hi everyone and welcome back to my channel.
00:01 In this tutorial I'm going to be showing you
00:02 how to create this Victoria's Secret makeup look
00:04 inspired by Adriana Lima.
00:06 In this tutorial I'm also going to be showing you
00:08 how to create the classic Victoria's Secret
00:10 inspired wave in your hair.
00:11 So to do this I am going to be using
00:13 a new curling system from Casual Curl,
00:15 which are these amazing hair tools here,
00:17 which you can see, and all you're going to need
00:19 is a hair dryer to create this beautiful,
00:21 voluminous wave effect in your hair.
00:23 So I really hope you enjoy and let's get started.
00:25 To give this skin a bronze glow,
00:28 I'm going to start off by using my Astralis bronzing primer.
00:30 I'm going to apply this underneath my foundation
00:32 and it is going to act as our base.
00:35 Next I am going to go over that with my foundation
00:37 and the one I've chosen to use today
00:38 is a very light, beautiful one by L'Oreal.
00:41 It's one of my all-time favorites
00:42 and it is the Nude Magic.
00:44 And I am just going to buff this over the top of the primer
00:46 using my Real Techniques buffing brush.
00:48 Next using my No Dab Shadows highlighting pen,
00:54 I am going to apply this to the areas
00:56 where I want to brighten up the skin.
00:57 So these are areas like under the eyes,
00:59 in between the brows, the nose, and the chin.
01:02 Then I am going to blend it out
01:03 using my Real Techniques contour brush,
01:05 which is a really nice shape to get into those small areas.
01:07 And the key is to really make sure
01:08 that you blend it out really well
01:09 so that it looks nice and seamless and natural.
01:12 Now to create that signature Victoria's Secret
01:16 bronze glow to the skin,
01:17 I am going to be using my Chanel cream bronzer
01:20 and I am going to use a duo fiber brush from MAC
01:22 to apply this.
01:23 So I'm going to apply this to areas like my hairline,
01:25 my cheekbones, sides of the nose, and my chin.
01:27 This is really just going to make the skin look
01:29 so much warmer and give off that very soft contour.
01:31 Then I'm going to go over that with my Too Faced bronzer
01:33 and I'm going to apply a very small amount,
01:36 just pat it onto the areas
01:37 where you have applied the cream bronzer.
01:38 And it's not only going to set those areas,
01:40 but it's going to define them a little bit further.
01:42 Then I'm going to quickly fill in my brows.
01:44 I'm not going to go too crazy with the brows.
01:45 I'm using my favorite product as always,
01:47 the Anastasia Dip Brow in Chocolate.
01:50 And I'm using a MAC angled brush to fill them in.
01:53 Then I'm going to go ahead and apply my eyeshadow base.
01:55 And the one I'm using today is Paint Pot
01:57 in Painterly from MAC.
01:58 Now to set that eye primer we have applied,
02:02 I'm going to use a flesh-toned eyeshadow and matte eyeshadow.
02:05 And I'm going to dust this all over the lids.
02:07 And this is going to set the primer
02:08 and make it super easy to blend any shadows
02:10 we apply over top.
02:11 Then I'm going to go ahead and apply
02:13 a shimmery champagne cream shadow.
02:15 This is a color tattoo from Maybelline.
02:17 I think it's barely branded, this one.
02:18 And I'm just going to apply that to the lid
02:20 and it's going to highlight the lids
02:21 and just make them look shimmery and luminescent.
02:24 Now I am just applying that beautiful caramel colored shadow
02:26 out of the Too Faced Taco Bell palette,
02:28 which is one of my favorite crease shadows.
02:30 And I'm using a MAC 224 brush just to apply this
02:32 right to the crease of the eyes.
02:33 And I'm also going to apply some
02:34 onto the lower lash line as well.
02:36 Next up, taking this beautiful shimmery bronze
02:39 and a small angled brush,
02:40 I'm just going to enhance the outer V of the eyes
02:42 just to draw them out a little bit,
02:44 make them a little bit more cat-like.
02:45 And so the way I'm doing this is just forming a V
02:47 on the outer corner of the top of the lid.
02:49 And then I'm also going to connect that
02:51 to the outer corner of the lower lash line.
02:53 Now to highlight the inner tear ducts,
02:54 I'm using this beautiful shimmery shadow
02:56 out of the Too Faced palette.
02:57 And I'm going to apply this using a pencil brush
02:59 to the inner tear ducts of the eyes.
03:01 Now this is going to open up the eyes
03:02 and give them that much more brightened effect.
03:04 Next, using that same bronze shadow
03:06 mixed with a little bit of a dark brown matte eyeshadow,
03:09 I'm using an angled brush from MAC.
03:10 And I'm just going to begin applying this
03:12 sort of like I would apply a winged liner,
03:13 very roughly onto the top of the lash line.
03:16 Now I'm going to take a brown gel liner
03:19 and I'm going to get really close to the lash line
03:21 and just begin tracing a very small wing.
03:23 And basically this is just going to enhance the lashes,
03:24 make them appear a little bit thicker,
03:26 and just give the eyes more of that
03:27 feline effect that we're after.
03:28 Now time for some mascara.
03:30 I'm not going to be wearing false lashes with this look,
03:31 just because it's so beautiful and glamorous by itself.
03:34 So the mascara I'm using is one of my favorites
03:35 at the moment, it's by a brand called Beauty Edit.
03:38 And it is called Show Off.
03:39 And I love it because it's got a really big
03:41 and curved mascara wand, as you can see here.
03:43 So the key here really is to apply two coats
03:45 to your top and bottom lashes,
03:46 and just make sure that you enhance the outer corners
03:48 a little bit extra than the rest.
03:50 Now time for some blush.
03:52 So the blush I'm using today is Benefit's Rock-A-Tour,
03:54 which I love because it's got a shimmery undertone to it.
03:56 So basically it's going to brighten up your skin
03:59 and give you that glow at the same time.
04:00 So I'm using an angle brush and I'm going to apply this
04:02 to the outer portions of the cheeks,
04:03 and just, you can see how beautiful and youthful it looks.
04:06 Now time to highlight those cheekbones
04:09 and give that Victoria's Secret signature glow to the skin.
04:12 So I'm using MAC's Soft and Gentle
04:14 and a tapered highlighting brush from Sigma.
04:16 And I'm just patting this onto the areas
04:18 where I want the skin to look that extra bit glowy
04:19 and just catch the light.
04:20 So these are areas like the tip of the cheekbones,
04:22 the nose, a little bit on the forehead and the brow bone.
04:25 Now to finish off the look,
04:27 I'm going to take a little bit more
04:29 of that Too Faced Matte Bronzer and an angle brush,
04:31 and I'm just going to redefine the areas
04:33 that I want to sculpt the face,
04:34 so like the jawline, the hairline,
04:35 just areas like that,
04:36 and it's just going to tie the whole look together
04:38 and make it that little bit more finished and polished.
04:40 Now the last step are the lips.
04:46 So I'm going to be creating a very natural
04:48 and beautiful nude lip.
04:49 So first off, I'm going to line the lips
04:51 and just make them look a little bit more defined
04:53 and fill in the lip lines.
04:54 So the lip liner I'm using is by NYX,
04:56 and this is in the shade Natural.
04:57 Then I'm going to apply my Astralis For Lure Lips
04:59 to the centre of the lips,
05:00 and because this is a little bit lighter,
05:01 sort of like a couple of shades lighter,
05:03 it's going to give off that impression of a fuller lip.
05:05 So now that we're done with the makeup,
05:07 I'm going to show you how to create
05:08 the Victoria's Secret-inspired wave
05:10 using my Casual Curl tool.
05:12 So first off, I'm just going to apply
05:14 a little bit of Hair Oil Serum through the hair,
05:17 and this is by Ecru, which is a brand
05:18 that I have been loving lately.
05:19 They do beautiful hair products.
05:21 And I'm just going to work this
05:23 through the mid-lengths of my hair,
05:25 just because it's just going to make
05:26 that a little bit more manageable
05:27 because I have super thick hair.
05:28 Then I'm going to go in with a styling spray from Ecru,
05:30 and this is also going to give a little bit more volume.
05:32 Not that I need it, because as you can see,
05:34 my hair is really just, it's very thick
05:36 and very unmanageable.
05:38 So this is just going to help me make it
05:40 that little bit more manageable.
05:41 Then I'm going to go ahead and use my Casual Curl tool,
05:43 and this is what it looks like here.
05:44 It's super easy to use.
05:45 And I'm going to go ahead
05:47 and I'm going to split my hair into sections.
05:48 So first off, I separate the top part of my hair,
05:51 and then I sort of like create a little bun
05:52 on the top of my head and use a clip or a bobby pin
05:55 or a hair tie or whatever you'd like to use
05:57 to just hold your hair in place.
05:59 And then I go ahead and separate the sections
06:01 on the bottom lengths of my hair.
06:03 So after I have separated my sections,
06:04 I'm just going to brush them through using my paddle brush.
06:07 Now I'm going to start curling my hair
06:10 using the Casual Curl tools.
06:12 So this is going to create a very natural,
06:14 soft wave to the hair.
06:15 It's not a defined curl, which I love,
06:17 because I love voluminous waves in my hair.
06:19 So basically all you need to do is just wrap your hair
06:22 around the Casual Curl tool and then roll it up
06:24 and then attach your hairdryer.
06:26 Hold it for 20 seconds, 20 to 30 seconds,
06:28 but for me, I just found 20 seconds was enough.
06:30 Then I go through and wrap the curl
06:32 and pin it up using a bobby pin or a hair pin
06:34 or whatever you have, and just leave it there till it sets.
06:37 So then I'm going to go ahead and repeat the process.
06:38 So just brush the Casual Curl through, roll it up,
06:41 then attach your hairdryer,
06:43 hold it there for 20 to 30 seconds,
06:45 and you have to wait when you remove the hairdryer
06:47 until the Casual Curl tool has cooled down
06:50 just to really set that curl in,
06:51 and then roll the curl up again and just pin it up.
06:55 What I like to do, since my hair is super thick and heavy,
06:57 is I spray those curls when they have been set up
06:59 in their pins, and it just helps the curl
07:01 to stay stronger for longer.
07:03 Just because my hair is very heavy,
07:04 I just find that, for me, I need to use hairspray.
07:06 But if you don't like the feeling of having hairspray
07:08 in your hair, you can always skip this step.
07:10 So now I am going to move on
07:11 and begin curling the other side.
07:13 (upbeat music)
07:16 So remember, after you have rolled up your Casual Curl
07:25 and you attach your hairdryer to hold it there
07:27 for 20 to 30 seconds, and then wait for it to cool down
07:30 before you unroll the curl.
07:32 So sometimes I also like to spray it
07:33 while it's still in the curler, just to set that curl,
07:36 and then I begin unrolling.
07:37 So as you can see, it just creates a very nice,
07:42 natural wave through the hair,
07:44 and it is very Victoria's Secret-esque,
07:46 sort of like that loose, beachy wave, which I love,
07:48 because, personally, I like having a lot of volume
07:50 through my hair, and that's one thing I really like
07:52 about the Casual Curl, is that it makes your hair
07:54 look super voluminous, because it's pushing
07:56 that air through, as opposed to having a very tight curl.
07:59 So, yeah, so I love this for creating a very natural
08:02 and beachy, sort of, bed hair kind of wave through the hair.
08:05 Now moving on to the front sections of the hair,
08:09 which are the most important parts.
08:10 You really need to make sure that you get these
08:11 nice and defined and as clean as possible,
08:13 just because these are the parts
08:14 that you're going to see the most.
08:16 So I like to separate the hair into sections,
08:18 and use smaller sections, if possible,
08:20 on the top section of my hair.
08:22 What I like to do as well, is on the top section,
08:25 to make things a little bit quicker,
08:26 you can double up and use two Casual Curl tools,
08:29 as you can see here.
08:30 So one already has been set, and it has cooled down,
08:32 so I'm just going to unravel that,
08:33 and then I go ahead and do the other.
08:35 So if you would like to try a Casual Curl,
08:38 they have a really good promotion at the moment,
08:40 which if you sign up to the newsletter,
08:42 they give you 20% off,
08:43 and they also have a really good promotion
08:45 with their Duo Packs at the moment,
08:47 which you can check out on their website,
08:48 which I will link in the description box.
08:50 And they also offer free worldwide shipping,
08:52 which is awesome, really good promo.
08:54 And also, I have collaborated with them,
08:57 they have very, very kindly offered me
08:59 four Casual Curl Duo Packs to give away
09:02 on my channel for you guys, for my viewers.
09:04 So I will put all the details in the description box
09:07 of how you can enter to win your very own Casual Curl.
09:10 So it's perfect for that holiday season,
09:12 when you want to go to those parties,
09:13 and make sure that you have gorgeous hair.
09:16 The Casual Curl is also a really good gift idea
09:17 for the holiday season,
09:18 if you're struggling for ideas for a friend,
09:21 for somebody who likes styling their hair,
09:22 these are also a really cool stocking set up.
09:25 So I'm nearly done doing the top section.
09:29 As you can see, it just looks a little bit more defined
09:32 on the top section,
09:33 just because I've taken a little bit more time
09:34 and made sure that I used smaller sections.
09:36 So the smaller amount of hair that you use,
09:38 obviously the tighter the curl is gonna be,
09:39 and the more hair you use on each section,
09:42 then the more loose the wave is going to be.
09:44 So to finish up, I'm gonna do the very front of the hair,
09:48 and I just brush it forwards,
09:49 and then roll the Casual Curl inwards,
09:52 so that it creates a more sort of voluminous wave,
09:55 sort of like that Hollywood wave effect
09:56 that sort of covers one of your eyes,
09:58 if that makes sense.
10:00 So after I unravel it,
10:01 you can see that it just creates that beautiful
10:03 sort of wave to the side.
10:05 I don't really know how to describe this,
10:06 but you can see what I mean.
10:08 (upbeat music)
10:11 So I'm just going to do the very last section here
10:16 for the front of the hair,
10:16 and as you can see, I roll it inwards,
10:18 and make sure that I hold it there for 20 to 30 seconds,
10:22 wait for it to cool,
10:23 spray it with some hairspray,
10:24 because the front section needs to be a little bit more
10:25 defined than the rest of the hair,
10:27 and unravel.
10:28 I'm going to begin removing all of the pins out of my hair,
10:37 where I've held those curls in,
10:38 and before I do that,
10:39 I'm just going to quickly spray my whole head
10:41 with some of my hairspray.
10:43 The one I'm using is by Eco,
10:44 so I will link all the products
10:45 that I've used in the description box,
10:46 you can go and check those out
10:47 if you want to use the same ones,
10:48 but any hairspray will do.
10:50 And then you can see that the curls
10:52 look a little bit more defined at the moment,
10:54 so I'm going to just run my fingers through
10:55 to loosen up those curls,
10:56 and make them look very natural, like a bed hair,
10:58 very Victoria's Secret-esque.
11:00 So you can just brush them through if you like,
11:02 or use your fingers.
11:03 And once we have done that,
11:07 we have finished the Victoria's Secret
11:09 inspired makeup and hair tutorial.
11:11 I really hope you enjoyed this tutorial,
11:12 I absolutely love how the makeup and the hair turned out.
11:15 Don't forget to check out all the details
11:16 in the description box
11:17 of how you can enter the Casual Curl Giveaway.
11:19 Make sure you enter that
11:20 because I know you are going to love this product.
11:23 So everyone, I really hope you enjoyed this tutorial,
