00:00 Hi everyone, today I want to show you something that's really easy. I always get asked for
00:05 tutorials about smokey eyes or show me how to do a smokey eye. So today I'm going to
00:09 show you how to do a smokey eye using just two products. So, obviously I've done all
00:14 my face as normal. So now I've got an eye shadow. This is an Arbonne one in Cabernet.
00:21 It's like a plummy colour. It's a little bit shimmery but not really really shimmery. And
00:27 we're going to use an eyeliner. This one is in Urban Decay. It's double ended. We're only
00:32 going to use the dark end though. The dark end is in a colour called Crave but you could
00:37 use absolutely any black eyeliner or anything like that. So, all I've done is I've applied
00:43 my foundation over my eye here. If you've got a white or, not a white, that would be
00:49 too light, but if you've got like a creamy coloured eye shadow there, it's ideal just
00:57 to put that all over your eye. It just helps to blend everything properly. So, I'm just
01:01 going to show you first of all. So just load your brush on both sides. The brush that I'm
01:06 using, this is just a cheap brush really, but the bristles are really close together.
01:11 This helps you to get really a lot of eye shadow onto your eye. So, all you're going
01:20 to do is just press the eye shadow onto your eyelid like this. You might have to do this
01:25 over and over again to make sure that you get a really dark, sort of smoky eye. You
01:34 sometimes have to do these steps over and over again. Sometimes doing it three or four
01:38 times. But for the video, I'll try and do it as quick as I can. So, just on your eyelid
01:48 for now. You can go up a little bit into your socket, so a little bit where your crease
01:52 is. So, we're obviously going to have to take that up a little bit higher to make it a smoky
01:57 eye. The idea with this is, put plenty of product on. Don't worry about scrimping because
02:06 we need it. So, loads and loads on. Go right up there. Up here. Okay, so we've got like
02:22 this. So, the minute we've got an eyelid that's really quite dark. And the next one I'm going
02:33 to use is, we'll do the underneath bit first. Then we'll do the other blend at the end.
02:40 So, as you can see now, I've just gone slightly up into my crease. Loads and loads of product.
02:46 Every time I'm putting my brush down here, you can't see, but I'm putting more on. So
02:53 that we get a nice coverage. Then underneath, you just use the side of the brush, right
03:01 on your lash line, your lower lash line. Don't go on your waterline at this stage. Just take
03:08 it to sort of where your black part of your eye is. Just all the way across there. You
03:16 need to start from the outside and go inwards. And then go back with less stuff on my brush.
03:23 Next I'm going to take a sort of blending brush. So, this is a Real Techniques one.
03:28 It's just like a fluffy brush really. So, I'm going to start underneath. I'm just going
03:32 to blend in that what I've just done with this brush. And then I'm going to do the same
03:39 on the top. So, the product that I've applied, I'm just going to go over and over. The trick
03:46 is to just keep going until that line disappears. Over and over and over. So you can see now
03:53 we're starting to get this blended, blended in look. So the eye shadow that we applied
04:03 on the eyelids now have been moved up into the socket. Okay, so you can see we're already
04:09 starting to get a bit of a smoky look there. We need more though. So, up here again, put
04:17 the eye shadow in. And then just blend, blend, blend. Now, I've done this with just two products.
04:29 But if you wanted to make this darker, then you could use a darker colour. So, either
04:37 a charcoal colour or a black. And you would just put that in your socket now and just
04:42 blend that in. And that would make it darker. But for the sake of the video, we're just
04:49 going to use the two products. Okay, so we'll leave that for now. As you can see, if you
04:54 wanted to keep going and going and going, you could easily put some more in. So just
04:58 to get that definition now on your lash line, take your eyeliner, lower lash line here.
05:09 Just go over. You can see that's making it darker now. And then the upper lash line as
05:14 well. Little strokes, forwards and backwards. Making that darker. If you feel like you need
05:25 to, maybe that line's a bit harsh, get some of your product, your eye shadow, and just
05:32 put it over the top and just forwards and backwards. It will blend the eye pencil in
05:38 with a bit of the colour that we're using on our eye. If you can see that now, that's
05:47 not as harsh as what it was before. Just all blended in. A bit more here. And that, ladies
05:56 and gents, is a smoky eye with two products. Can you see that? Dead easy. Six minutes it's
06:07 taken. All you need to do is do the other eye. Obviously you need to put a coat of mascara
06:12 on now and that's it. You're good to go.
