00:10 Hey guys, welcome back to my channel.
00:38 Today's video is going to be an eye tutorial and I feel like I haven't done like a straight
00:42 up just eye makeup tutorial in a really long time so I wanted to do something like that
00:47 today and I kind of just sit down.
00:49 I had in mind what I wanted to do but I wasn't sure exactly what colors I was going to use
00:53 and stuff so this is kind of an improv tutorial.
00:57 I knew I wanted to do something like a sunset, like something very summery and just summertime
01:03 appropriate and one of my favorite colors to wear in the summertime is orange so I wanted
01:08 to do something kind of like that and excuse my voice if I sound sick.
01:13 I've had a cold like right in the middle of summer.
01:16 Who gets a cold in the middle of the summer?
01:18 And I'm still, I'm over it but my voice just hasn't gotten back to normal yet so excuse
01:23 that.
01:24 I know that's kind of annoying throughout the video.
01:25 I didn't film a full face with this.
01:27 I just filmed me doing the eyes because they were a little more time consuming than my
01:31 normal eye makeup and I didn't want this video to get really long so stay tuned to the main
01:36 end of the video and I will tell you what else is on the rest of my face since I didn't
01:40 show that.
01:41 I hope you guys enjoy this and let's get into it.
01:44 Okay, so first I'm using the Jordana 12 hour made to last eyeshadow base and this is just
01:50 the white color and this is going to give a really good base for the rest of our eyeshadows
01:55 and make them appear broader since they have a white canvas.
02:00 I'm going in with this Jordana eyeshadow.
02:04 I think the name of it is sand and it's just basically a matte cream color and I'm going
02:10 to put that all over my eyelids just to set that base.
02:19 Now I'm going in with this Bobbi Brown eyeshadow in camel and this is going to be my transition
02:35 color for this look but I'm just going to apply it pretty lightly.
02:39 Camel is just like a warm brown color with a little bit of like a olive undertone.
02:44 It's really interesting and it's one of my favorite transition colors right now.
02:48 I'm using a Sigma taper blending brush and I'm just going to dip into that and then tap
02:52 off the excess because I want this to be pretty light and I'm going to try to diffuse this
02:57 color into the crease instead of having it super pigmented.
03:01 So a good tip to do this is to hold your brush at the main end and that's going to give you
03:07 less control and make you use a lighter hand with it.
03:10 So I'm just putting that in the crease and then I'm using my Too Faced sugar pop palette
03:14 for the majority of the colors in this and I have a review on this palette I can link
03:19 down below for you all and I'm going in with another blending brush.
03:23 This one is a little bit more tapered.
03:24 It comes to more of a precise point and I'm going to use the peach color called macaroon
03:29 and I'm just going to take that right underneath that camel color from Bobbi Brown in the crease
03:34 just to warm everything up a little bit more.
04:00 Then I'm going in with a Colourpop eyeshadow and these are really interesting.
04:04 I got my first order of these just the other day.
04:07 This one is a matte coral color.
04:09 I'll put the exact shade down below.
04:11 I'm not sure what it was.
04:12 A lot of people recommend you use these with your fingers but I personally like using them
04:16 with a brush.
04:17 I think it just kind of blends the color out a little bit better.
04:20 So I'm going into that matte coral color and you can see that it really builds up nicely.
04:25 It can be very dark if you want it to be but I'm just mainly keeping that on the outer
04:30 half of our crease and I am blending it in just a little bit but the most pigmented color
04:35 will be on the outer part.
04:37 Then I'm going to use some tape for the rest of this tutorial just so that I have a good
04:54 clean line and I don't have to really worry about blending it out perfectly.
04:58 This is really going to help out with that.
05:00 I put that on the back of my hand so that it's not too sticky and it doesn't tug on
05:03 our eye area too much.
05:06 I'm just going to line that up from the outer corner of my eye to the tail of my eyebrow
05:12 so that I can make sure and have it even on both eyes.
05:24 You want to make sure it's pressed down pretty good so that the product doesn't get up underneath
05:28 it.
05:29 Now going back in with the Sugar Pop palette, I'm taking the hot pink color, I believe it's
05:33 called Bubble Gum, and I'm going to go in with that same brush that we used earlier,
05:37 the more pointed blending brush.
05:40 We're going to take the hot pink color and put that on the outer corner of our eyelid
05:45 and blend it up into the crease just a little bit.
05:47 It's mostly going to be on the eyelid.
05:49 This is going to deepen it up and put a little bit of that pink shade in there without it
05:53 being overwhelmingly pink and making your eyes look sick.
05:57 Just keeping that on the outer corner, kind of overlapping that with the Color Pop eyeshadow
06:03 but putting a little bit more on the lid.
06:07 The tape is really going to help this have an uplifting effect and it's just going to
06:11 make your eyes look lifted.
06:17 Then I'm going in with my Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette and I'm going to do a mixture
06:20 of the colors Caramel and Bon Bon and it's just going to give a nice rosy gold color.
06:26 I'm just using my finger with this and I'm putting that on my eyelids.
06:48 Then I'm going in with a smaller size blending brush.
06:51 This is much smaller than the Tapered blending if you can't tell.
06:54 It's just a little more precise and I'm going back in with the peach color called Macaroon
06:59 and I'm going to use that and blend it up around the border of that darkest color and
07:03 that's just going to give like a peach halo effect to the rest of our eyeshadow.
07:07 I'm just doing this pretty lightly and it's going to make a gradual blend up into the
07:11 eyebrow color but I think it looks really nice and it just helps warm up the rest of
07:16 the look.
07:23 Then I'm going in with another color pop shade.
07:26 This one is more of a shimmery champagne color.
07:29 It's actually very shimmery you'll see and I'll put the name of that one down below as
07:33 well.
07:34 I just don't know the exact name right now but it's just a very pretty shimmery champagne-y
07:39 pale gold color and I'm putting that right around my inner tear duct.
07:43 I want that area to be very bright.
07:45 Then I'm going in with the same cream color that we put all over before and I'm going
07:49 to highlight my brow bone with that and blend that in with the orange that we outlined the
07:54 darkest color with and I didn't want to do anything too shimmery here because I was afraid
07:59 it would take away from the eye look so just using a matte cream color is going to help
08:03 define your eyebrow and clean that up but it's not going to be too prominent.
08:26 Now I'm going in with my liquid liner.
08:28 This is the Maybelline line stiletto in black and I'm just going to line my upper lash line
08:33 on both sides and then wing that out.
08:58 You can see for some reason today I was really struggling with getting an even line so I
09:02 just tried to get it as close as possible and yeah I think it turned out looking okay
09:08 but I just went my best.
09:10 Then I'm winging it out and the tape really helps with that so you don't have to be too
09:15 precise you can kind of just do it messy and when you pull the tape off it's going to look
09:20 really clean and crisp without a ton of work so just kind of winging that up towards the
09:25 tape and filling it in.
09:53 And when you pull the tape off just look how much better that looks and it was so easy.
09:57 I'll link that video down below in case you all are interested on how I did that exactly.
10:05 Then I'm going in with a pencil black eyeliner and I think this one is called Ink It.
10:09 I think it's by CoverGirl and I'm just tight lining my upper lash line so that no skin
10:14 shows between my eyelashes and you'll see in just a second that I poke my eye out.
10:19 I've got myself right in the eye with this right about now.
10:24 Don't you hate that moment?
10:27 Do a little dance and finish tight lining.
10:43 Then I'm going to do the rest of my face and go ahead and do my lower lash line.
10:48 So now that all my face makeup is on I'm going to go back in with that ColourPop shadow,
10:53 the coral one, and I'm going to take that on a Sigma pencil brush and we're just going
10:57 to put that on the lower lash line about two thirds of the way in and blend that out.
11:20 Then I'm going to go in with the Macaroon color that we used earlier, the peach color,
11:32 and put that on the inner part of the lower lash line and just blend it in with the coral.
11:48 Now I'm just going to blend that out with a brush that doesn't have any product on it.
11:54 Last step is to do some mascara.
11:56 I'm using the CoverGirl Supersizer mascara on my upper lashes and a little tip that I
12:01 do a lot of the times that I don't think I've showed in a video is just taking a clean spoolie
12:05 brush and combing through my eyelashes if I've done liquid liner.
12:09 Because sometimes liner can clump them up and then you have to try to separate them
12:12 with your mascara wand and then they just get more clumpy so just combing through them
12:17 beforehand really helps to separate them and it just makes the mascara going easier.
12:22 So I'm going to do a couple coats of this mascara on my upper lashes.
12:40 And I'm going to use the Tarte Lightscamer lashes mascara on my lower lashes and you'll
12:44 see I only do my mascara about half of the way in.
12:47 I'm just trying to keep it on the outer corners.
12:50 This summer I've really been loving either doing no mascara at all on my lower lash line
12:55 or just putting it right on the outer corners and I think it just keeps your eye looking
12:58 more opened and it looks a little more fresh for summertime.
13:03 And that's it!
13:14 Ok guys so that was my, I don't really know what I'm going to title this, like summer
13:17 set, summertime appropriate eye makeup, makeup, I don't really know.
13:21 I hope you guys enjoyed it.
13:23 I really liked filming it.
13:25 This is probably my favorite type of combination to wear on myself because I of course have
13:31 said a million times that I love warm colors and this is just so orangey peachy and plus
13:36 it has pink which is my favorite color.
13:39 So I enjoy this look.
13:40 I wanted to go ahead and mention what I'm wearing on the rest of my face since I didn't
13:44 really show that.
13:46 For my foundation I'm actually using, hold on just a second because I already put it
13:51 up.
13:52 I'm using a mixture of my Revlon Colorstay and my Estee Lauder Double Wear Max.
13:58 This is just a little bit too thick for right now but I want a good coverage so I just put
14:03 this in my problem areas and mixed it with that.
14:06 And I think it looks pretty.
14:08 Under that I have Nyx Angel Veil which you all have seen me use a thousand times.
14:12 So for my bronzers I used a mixture, I mixed a lot of things.
14:16 You'll see I used a whole lot of products to get this.
14:19 For my bronzer I used my MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Give Me Sun and NYC Sunny Bronzer.
14:28 A little bit of those just to bronze up my skin.
14:31 My blush is somewhere.
14:35 My Nyx HD Blush, this is in the old packaging.
14:38 This is in Cinnamon and doesn't that look so scary?
14:41 It matches my top like perfectly.
14:44 But it's really pretty.
14:46 I have that just kind of sheared out on my cheeks and then over top of that what you're
14:51 seeing the glow is my Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl in Gilded Honey.
14:59 And then for my lips I have a whole lot of things going on because I just had one of
15:03 those days where I was doing my lips and I was like I don't like that and I just kept
15:06 adding stuff to it.
15:08 So let's see.
15:09 I lined my lips with the NYC Retractable Lip Liner in All The Words Have Worn Off.
15:19 It says something nude.
15:20 It's just like a darker brown kind of lip liner.
15:25 That's what I lined my lips with and I was going to do like a nude color but I just thought
15:29 with this look it was so summery and bright and it needed a little bit more color.
15:33 So I did that and then I used the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Antwerp I guess.
15:40 I don't really know how you spell that or how you say that.
15:44 I don't really know.
15:45 I can't talk is what I do know.
15:47 I have that over top of the lip liner and then I thought that looked a little too pinky
15:53 so I went in with a little bit of my Kat Von D lipstick in Celebutard.
15:59 How do you say that?
16:02 And it's just a little bit lighter.
16:03 I put that right in the middle and then just to top it all off I used my Sally Hansen Lip
16:10 Inflation in Sheer Blush and this has given my lips a very plump look.
16:15 I really like this lip combination.
16:18 It's just like a peachy gloss.
16:20 So that's everything I have on my lips.
16:22 I think that's everything on my face.
16:24 I think I covered everything.
16:25 I hope you guys enjoyed this.
16:27 If you did please give this video a thumbs up.
