00:00 Hey guys, Cortoon here with another makeup tutorial.
00:02 This time I'm continuing the Disney Princess train and moving on to Rapunzel.
00:06 I've already done a few things to save time during this tutorial.
00:08 I put my hair into French braids, helped fit into the wig cap when I put the costume on
00:11 later, and it also helps keep my hair on my face when I'm doing makeup.
00:15 I've also already put my contacts in.
00:17 I like to put my contacts in first because I like doing it when my hands are clean and
00:20 after putting on all this makeup, hands tend to get a little messy.
00:24 First I'm going to make my face into a blank palette.
00:27 I'm going to apply a generous amount of foundation to my face.
00:30 I'm then going to go in with some concealer to add another layer to my under eyes or the
00:33 other harsher lines of my face.
00:35 I use a concealer a few shades lighter than my foundation to start the contouring and
00:39 highlighting process from the base.
00:41 After we're done with that, I'm going to start applying the setting powder.
00:45 The brand I'm using is Airspun, which is no longer being made, but there are a ton of
00:49 good setting powders out there, so go out and see what works best for you.
00:53 Now that the base is done, I'm going to start shaping the face.
00:56 Rapunzel has a very heart-shaped face, so I'm going to create the illusion of this using
01:00 contouring.
01:01 I'll be using Maybelline Fit Me in two different shades.
01:03 I begin with highlighting underneath my eyes to bring out my cheekbones to add some roundness.
01:08 I begin to contour under my cheeks and around my jaw using the darker shade to try to further
01:12 create that heart-shaped illusion.
01:14 And don't forget that super princessy pink blush.
01:17 Moving on to the eyes, I use NYX eyeshadow base as a primer for my eyeshadow.
01:25 It's a really nice cream and helps bring out the colors that you use on top of it.
01:29 Rapunzel has really natural-looking makeup because she's, you know, living in a tower,
01:33 so I'm going to be using a variety of pinks from this palette for her.
01:37 I'm going to be using a light pink for the lid and a very light beige, a little bit lighter
01:41 than my skin tone for my brow because Rapunzel's eyebrows are very high up in her head, and
01:45 using a lighter tone is really going to emphasize that.
01:49 And we're going to use a dark brown for the crease to emphasize that lid.
01:54 Rapunzel has light brown eyebrows, so I'm going to fill them in a little bit.
01:57 Rapunzel's brows aren't super shaped due to the fact, again, she's been living in a tower.
02:00 Who's going to do them?
02:01 So back to the eyes, I have super short eyelashes, so I'm going to apply some mascara to my eyelashes
02:07 before I apply the false ones.
02:09 I'm going to put on a pair of my favorite lashes that make up for the fact that my natural
02:13 eyelashes are like nothing.
02:15 I find the false eyelashes bring out the inner princess in you as well.
02:23 Rapunzel has a little bit of a rounder nose than I do, so I'm going to shape down the
02:26 sides of my nose with a dark powder, and I'm going to do a little bit on the tip of my
02:30 nose and bottom to really sell that roundness.
02:34 Now for the freckles!
02:35 This is my favorite part.
02:36 If you want more obvious freckles, I would use a liquid eyeliner, but for more natural
02:40 looking freckles, I actually use an old toothbrush to apply them.
02:44 I use a dark brown eyeshadow and just dab my toothbrush in it and then dab it on my
02:48 face around my nose like Rapunzel has.
02:51 You'll be able to see the freckles a little more clearly at the end of the video when
02:53 I show the finished project.
02:55 And also to sell the natural look of the freckles, I use this nude lip liner to add lighter colored
03:00 dots, which makes it a little more natural looking.
03:05 Speaking of that nude lip liner, Rapunzel has a little bit of thinner lips than I do,
03:09 so using that nude lip liner, I'm going to outline my lips to make them appear a little
03:12 bit smaller.
03:13 Then I'm going to go over my lips with a bright pink stick.
03:16 To blend the lip liner, I use a q-tip and flip my foundation to make the transition
03:21 a little more natural looking.
03:23 After that, I'm going to add a little mascara to the bottom of my lid and add a thin line
03:27 of black eyeliner to the top of my lash line to make my eyes look slightly bigger appearing.
03:32 So now I'm just going to slide on my wig cap and it's time to put on the costume!
03:36 And if you don't understand the meaning of the title "Tangled" by now, oh man, this wig
03:41 is insane.
03:43 I love Rapunzel, but man that hair.
03:45 Anyway guys, this is the full Rapunzel look!
03:48 Thank you guys for watching and I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and I'll see you next
03:51 time!
03:51 time.
