HOW TO GET DOLL LIPS

00:00 Hi YouTube, so for today's video I'm going to show you how I get these pouty, you know,
00:05 really crisp line lips.
00:07 Things you will need, beauty blender or brush, make sure it's damp, and some sort of foundation,
00:16 concealer, highlight, color.
00:18 I like highlight because it brightens the area.
00:22 And you're going to need, obviously, a lip color.
00:26 I really like these Nars Chubby Sticks, and this is kind of optional, but darker colors
00:34 to contour your lips.
00:37 A lip brush, and Q-tip.
00:40 This is dirty because I already used it.
00:41 Just keep watching if you want to see how I got this.
00:44 So the first thing you're going to do is cover your lips with concealer, foundation, or highlighter.
00:49 I like highlighter because it creates a very nice base for when you put the color on.
00:55 Then you're just going to go ahead and get the color on there.
01:00 As you can see, I didn't get it perfect the first time.
01:02 I'm a little bit out of the lines, but we'll fix that up later so don't worry about that.
01:07 When it comes to the Cupid's bow, it can be hard to get it even, so start out with an
01:12 X and that will make each bow even.
01:18 Especially when it comes to red lips, you want the color to be very pigmented, so go
01:22 ahead and do several layers and touching up the edges as you go.
01:28 Then I'm going to take my lip liner.
01:31 This one is in a dark purple-ish red color.
01:35 Use any color that's darker than your first lipstick you used to trace around the bottom
01:42 lip line.
01:46 So to get your lips looking the same way I do, right there where I just pointed, that's
01:50 the only place really where I overdraw because that's the most natural.
01:55 On the sides it's very obvious, and on the top if you overdraw it.
01:59 When it comes to my upper lip, I only line the outsides.
02:03 If I line the middle where the Cupid's bow is, it would take away that highlight, so
02:08 go ahead and keep that part bare.
02:11 Next you're going to take a clean Q-tip and trace along the outsides.
02:15 You don't want to take any color away, you just want to smooth out the feathering.
02:21 Then you're going to want to take a lip brush.
02:23 This one is just a really cheap one from e.l.f.
02:25 I really like this one because it's super small and there's so many uses for it.
02:30 Anyway, so take your foundation, concealer, or highlight color.
02:33 I really like using highlighter because I feel like it makes the edges super sharp and
02:39 just look at how crisp that is.
02:42 Next you're going to want to take a highlighter if you haven't been using one already and
02:46 highlight the Cupid's bow area.
02:49 Just as you want to line with a darker color where you want shadows, highlight will do
02:53 the exact opposite and make it appear fuller and thicker.
02:57 You see that?
02:58 You see the magic?
03:00 Now you can always stop here, but I sometimes like to take it one step further and I take
03:05 a dark maroonish color lip gloss and I like to add it to the outsides of my lips.
03:14 This creates even more of a shadow and makes your lips appear even more full.
03:18 And that is it!
03:19 Super short tutorial.
03:21 Obviously it comes with practice.
03:24 Practice makes progress.
03:25 Other than that, follow these tips and you should have perfect lips.
03:30 And yeah, let me know if you have any other questions.
03:32 Until I see you next time, bye!
