Summer Sunset Eye Makeup Tutorial

00:03 Hey guys, it's Alyssa.
00:24 And welcome back to my channel.
00:25 So for today's video, I'm going to be doing this makeup look.
00:29 I've never really done a kind of crazy cool looking tutorial
00:33 on this channel.
00:33 So I thought it would be really fun
00:35 just to see how you guys like it.
00:36 Just because I think these videos are
00:37 kind of a little bit more interesting and entertaining
00:40 to watch or something different than a usual tutorial
00:43 of a neutral eye or something like that.
00:45 So if you guys do want to see how I got this look,
00:47 keep on watching.
00:49 So first I'm just priming my eyes.
00:51 And this is going to make sure that my eye shadow will
00:53 stand all day and that it won't crease at all.
00:55 And then I'm also adding a white base.
00:57 This is NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk.
00:59 And I'm just putting this all over my lid.
01:01 And it's going to make the colors look a lot more vibrant
01:04 and be more colorful.
01:05 And this is just a really important step
01:07 that you shouldn't skip.
01:09 So using my palette from Anastasia,
01:11 I'm going to take the bright yellow color
01:14 and focus this on the inner corner.
01:16 And I'm just going to make it really dark
01:18 and put on a lot of the product on the inner corner.
01:21 And then as you can see, I'm kind of like feathering it out
01:24 into the middle of my lid.
01:26 And this is just going to make blending the colors a lot
01:28 easier.
01:30 Now I'm just adding a light brown color to my crease
01:32 as my transition color.
01:33 And this is going to make blending so much easier.
01:36 And then I'm just taking the orange color
01:38 from the Anastasia palette.
01:40 And I'm putting this right on the center of my lid
01:43 and just filling in that area and kind of going
01:46 over the yellow a little bit.
01:47 And we're definitely going to blend this out later.
01:49 So I'm just kind of focusing it on the lid.
01:51 Now I'm just taking the pink fuchsia color.
01:54 And I'm using an angled brush.
01:56 And I'm just kind of bringing it into my eye
01:59 from the outer corner and blending it
02:01 with the orange, kind of going over the orange part.
02:04 And then I'm bringing it up into my crease.
02:06 But I'm not going all the way down.
02:09 And I added a piece of tape just to make it a little bit easier
02:12 so I don't get any pink where I don't want it to be.
02:15 And then I'm taking this maroon type of brown color.
02:19 And I'm just adding this to the outer corner
02:21 to make the look a little bit darker.
02:23 Now I'm just taking a fluffy angled brush
02:29 and blending just to make sure that the pink isn't too harsh.
02:31 And you can definitely go back and darken up
02:33 any of the colors too.
02:35 And then with a small angled brush,
02:37 I'm just adding yellow to my lower lash line
02:40 in the inner corner.
02:41 And then I'm doing the same with the orange and then the pink.
02:44 But where the pink would go, I'm putting more
02:46 of the brown maroon color.
02:48 And now I'm just lining my eyes.
02:50 And the tape is definitely really helpful for this
02:52 to make a winged liner look.
02:55 I'm not the best at it.
02:56 So that's why I couldn't show you guys.
02:57 Because it's kind of hard to get it on camera.
03:00 But that's just a little bit of how I kind of did it.
03:02 Next, I'm just filling in my brows
03:09 with this light brown shadow.
03:10 And I'm using this flat, small brush.
03:12 And I think this brush is really easy to use, especially
03:15 for filling in your brows.
03:19 Next, using my They're Real Mascara, my eyelash curler,
03:22 I'm just curling my eyelashes to make them
03:25 look a lot bigger and fuller.
03:26 And then I'm applying one coat of mascara.
03:29 And then I'm getting my fake eyelashes ready.
03:32 I'm putting on a little bit of the lash glue.
03:35 And I like to use the Ardell lashes
03:37 that you can get from the drugstore.
03:39 And these are just the natural looking ones.
03:42 And I didn't film myself putting them on just
03:44 because it's a little tricky.
03:45 But here I have them on.
03:46 And I'm just applying more mascara
03:48 to make them blend in more with my real lashes.
03:51 And this is the finished eye look.
03:53 For my face makeup, I'm just applying a primer
04:03 from Smashbox first.
04:05 And this is going to make my makeup stay on all day.
04:08 And then I'm applying my BB cream from Maybelline.
04:11 And this is in the medium shade.
04:13 And I'm just applying little dots all over my face.
04:16 And then I'm going to blend this in with a beauty blender.
04:18 Now I'm just taking my favorite Maybelline concealer.
04:33 And I'm just putting this around my nose where it gets red.
04:36 And I'm putting it under my eyes to conceal my dark circles
04:39 and on any pimples or marks that I have on my face.
04:43 And then I'm just blending this with my beauty blender.
04:45 And I find that when you use the beauty blender damp,
04:47 it works so well in just blending it and making
04:50 it look perfect.
04:51 So I really like using that.
04:53 And then I'm using my Maybelline powder.
04:55 And I'm first putting it under my eyes
04:57 to set the concealer there.
04:58 And then I'm going to put it all over my face
05:00 and set the BB cream.
05:02 Now I'm just using my Hoola bronzer.
05:08 And I'm contouring my cheeks with this.
05:10 So I'm just making a little fish face
05:12 and then putting it in the halls of my cheeks.
05:14 And then by my temples.
05:15 And I also like to put it on my neck too.
05:18 Now I'm just taking this really pretty pink blush from Tarte.
05:25 And I'm just putting it on the apples of my cheeks
05:27 just to give my face some warmth.
05:29 And then I'm going to be putting on one of my favorite lip
05:31 glosses from Sephora.
05:33 And this is just a really pretty pinky, corally color.
05:36 It's not too bright or anything since the eye makeup
05:38 is really bright.
05:40 So this is the finished makeup look.
05:42 And I love how the eyeshadow came out.
05:44 And I had so much fun filming it and coming up
05:45 with this look for you guys.
