00:03 Hi, I'm Claire Farrell, and I'm the resident makeup
00:20 artist for Glossy Box.
00:22 I'm here today to show you how to get the classic 1950s
00:26 Hollywood look, inspired by our limited edition collector's
00:29 box.
00:30 I'm going to start with the eye using this Pop!
00:32 Kajal pencil, which is in your box,
00:35 but you can use a liquid or gel liner should you prefer.
00:40 So to achieve the cat flick, I find
00:43 starting at the outer corner of the eye more effective.
00:46 I use the lower rim of my eye to help
00:49 guide the angle of the flick, and going
00:51 no further than the outer point of the eyebrow.
00:58 Place a simple dot of liner, and then join to the lash line.
01:03 Starting at the outer edge of the eye,
01:05 work in small movements towards the inner corner of the eye.
01:10 I finished this look with a Lash Princess mascara,
01:13 which was in your March box.
01:16 I simply wiggled the wand through the roots of my lashes
01:19 to the tips.
01:26 Starting at the V of your cupid's bow, create the shape,
01:31 and then simply in small feathery strokes,
01:33 work to the outer edges of your lips,
01:36 filling as you go along so you can really
01:38 create your perfect lip shape.
01:40 Marilyn reportedly used up to six lip products
01:43 to get her crimson pout.
01:46 This Lord & Berry lipstick pencil
01:48 allows you to achieve that look in one product, a sharp red lip,
01:53 but it's soft enough to blend over the entire lip area
01:56 and act as your lipstick.
01:58 If one side of your lip looks a little flatter than the other,
02:01 simply draw a hair's breadth outside of the lip line
02:04 to achieve the perfect shape.
02:06 What I love about this lipstick crayon
02:08 is it's also a great shade on your cheeks.
02:11 Simply pat your lips with your fingertips,
02:13 and then blend onto the apples of your cheek
02:15 to get that beautiful rosy red color.
02:18 And that's the modern take on 1950s Hollywood look
