00:00 Today, I'm going to explain to you how to get red carpet ready when an event calls for
00:06 more drama.
00:16 When I get ready for a big event, I tend to hire a professional.
00:20 Meet Nicole.
00:22 And there are four main things that I like to focus on.
00:26 First, I like to have a toned and golden body.
00:30 And how I do that is I lightly spray tan, and I use Nicole's company Tantalize On The
00:36 Go.
00:37 And then for any touch-ups, I use NARS Body Glow.
00:41 For any blemishes, I use Judith Auguste Orange Masking Cream.
00:46 And then I also like to have it put underneath my eyes to conceal any dark circles.
00:52 I also like to apply a body balm called Bathina.
00:57 And this is a glimmering, shimmering balm that can highlight shoulders, arms, and you
01:03 just rub it on.
01:04 It's really nice and soft and smooth.
01:06 Another moisturizer for you.
01:09 The next thing I like to focus on are eyelashes.
01:11 I think it's very important to have false eyelashes applied.
01:16 It pops your eyes and makes your eyes brighten.
01:19 You can use the individual lashes, or you can use the strip.
01:23 I would prefer to have the individual lashes applied by Nicole because my hand is not as
01:30 steady when you glue them on.
01:32 Go ahead and close your eyes.
01:33 I'm going to get as close to the lash line as possible.
01:39 Hold it there for just a second.
01:41 And then let the adhesive dry.
01:43 And you want to trim them so that they blend well with your real lashes, so they don't
01:48 look too false.
01:49 You need to set them with a liquid eyeliner.
01:53 Now what liquid eyeliner do you recommend, Nicole?
01:56 I like the Maybelline Ultra Liner.
01:58 I use black and waterproof.
02:00 And I like it because it has a super fine tip.
02:04 Just swipe it across.
02:05 Use the extra fine tip to create a cat eye.
02:09 After lashes, it's okay to apply mascara also.
02:12 And the type of mascara that I like to use is called They're Real by Benefit.
02:17 I want big, bold, red lips.
02:21 Before applying the lip color, we put on a lip primer.
02:26 And the lip primer will let your lip color last longer.
02:30 We will use the Very Red Lip Liner to match the color of my gown.
02:35 And now the Very Bright Lip Color.
02:39 What else I like to use is the Everything Pencil to conceal maybe some of the line that
02:45 maybe has run a little bit, just to make my lips look perfect and bright.
02:51 And then just a dab of lip gloss, and my lips are red carpet ready.
02:58 The last item that I'd like to focus on is my hair, the fun part.
03:02 I want a messy style bun.
03:06 Nicole, how do you achieve a messy bun look?
03:09 So what you want to do is you want to create a ponytail.
03:13 You're going to brush all your hair from your nape up to the mid of the back of your head.
03:19 And you don't have to be perfect.
03:20 It's a messy bun.
03:21 You want to take an elastic and create a pony.
03:26 You're going to take the ponytail, and you're going to wrap it just loosely around the elastic.
03:34 Let things stick out.
03:35 It's supposed to be messy.
03:37 Another extra elastic, and just wrap it around.
03:46 You just want to take pieces and pull them out around your hairline so it looks natural
03:52 and loose.
03:54 Now what type of hairspray do you use for an updo like this?
03:57 I really like Kevin Murphy's Session Spray.
04:00 It's a strong hold so that you know your updo will last all night.
04:03 A light mist.
04:07 Pull it out with your fingertips a little bit so there's no frizz.
04:11 And now I am red carpet ready.
04:14 And if you'd like any other styling tips, just ask.
