00:00 Hello and welcome, my name is Olivia with You're So Pretty and today I'll be showing
00:11 you how to make perfect lips.
00:13 What you will need is a lipstick in your color.
00:16 I prefer a lipstick color palette because it takes up less room than tube lipsticks.
00:20 I paletted out the lipstick because I will be using a lip brush to apply the lipstick.
00:25 You will also be needing foundation in your color and a cosmetic sponge.
00:30 To begin we are going to start by applying foundation in our color over the lips and
00:35 the reason that we're doing this is to ensure that the lipstick doesn't move.
00:50 Now that you're finished you're going to take a lip brush and dip it into the color of your
00:55 choice.
00:56 Now you're going to start with the cupid's bow of your lip and accent the high points.
01:17 Starting from the outer corner you are going to draw towards the inside to create a straight
01:21 line.
01:25 The importance of the lipstick is to create balance and symmetry.
01:30 So when applying your lipstick be sure that you are making balanced lips.
01:35 After loading the brush with pigment start towards the center of the mouth so that way
01:39 you don't have too much color on the corners of the mouth.
01:48 And just as you did the upper lip you will start at the corner of the bottom lip and
01:51 draw inward.
01:59 And repeat on both sides being certain that you are paying attention to your symmetry.
02:09 In addition if you would like to have a matte lip instead of a satin lip as you see here
02:14 what you can do is start with a tissue, you're going to fold it over and press to the lips.
02:24 This will remove the excess.
02:26 So taking a tissue making sure that you pull it apart and make it one ply you are going
02:30 to place it over the lips and you are going to dust over it with a translucent powder.
02:35 What this is going to do is it's going to ensure that your lipstick doesn't move anywhere
02:39 and it's going to mattify your lipstick.
02:53 And here you have the matte lip.
02:55 It's going to last a lot longer than a regular lipstick because it's going to remove some
02:58 of the oils that's going to make the lipstick swim into the cracks of the lip.
