MERMAID INSPIRED HAIR & MAKEUP TUTORIAL

00:15 This is going to be a mermaid inspired tutorial.
00:17 And I know it just looks like weird and stuff
00:19 all the way from over here.
00:20 But I will do some close ups so it doesn't just
00:23 look like a big old blue spot on my face, OK?
00:26 It's at 426 in the morning.
00:30 Anyway, before we get into this video,
00:32 these extensions were sent to me from CC Hair Extensions.
00:36 But I'm giving an honest review anyway throughout this clip,
00:39 so you don't have to sit through a big tutorial.
00:41 I'll just be talking through it once I show you
00:43 guys how I curl my hair.
00:44 This is actually the Amika Triple Barrel Pro Curler Set.
00:47 This is the 25 millimeter barrel.
00:49 I was not sent this.
00:50 I've had this for like three years now.
00:52 And just a couple days ago, it started to say error.
00:54 But it works fine now.

00:59 Just because, I don't know, if you guys are really
01:01 looking for a quality curling iron, definitely get this set.

01:19 First, I'm just going to be starting off
01:20 with Benefit's Erase Paste.
01:22 This is going to be a corrector to correct my dark circles.
01:24 So I would imagine mermaids are pretty perfect.
01:26 So I'm just going to be getting rid of my bags.

01:33 Next, I'm going to be taking my MAC Pro Longwear Concealer
01:36 to, yeah, I know, cover up my acne.
01:38 It's been pretty crazy, actually.
01:39 My acne has been so bad lately.
01:42 And buffing this in with an ELLE Flathead Bokeh Brush
01:44 just because I couldn't find my one from Sigma.
01:47 I don't know where it is, OK?
01:48 But this one works perfectly fine.
01:50 I would just recommend my Sigma one better.
01:53 Whatever.
01:53 And then taking this Maybelline Fit Me Foundation,
01:56 I'm going to be taking this stippling brush from Sigma
01:58 and creating an airbrush effect.
02:00 I love this so much because once you blend it all out,
02:02 it seriously looks like you're wearing airbrush makeup.

02:12 And then setting this with a loose powder.
02:14 I know it got everywhere.
02:15 And I was sort of just like, oh my god,
02:16 it's getting all over my face.
02:18 What do I do?
02:18 But after that, I'm just going to be
02:20 filling in my eyebrows with this NYX Cake Powder Set.

02:29 And then priming my eyelids with Urban Decay's Primer Potion.

02:35 This MAC Extra Dimension Eyeshadow,
02:37 I'm going to be using the shade A Natural Flirt
02:40 with this Sigma brush to pack it onto the first half of my lid.

02:48 Using this rounded domed brush, I'm
02:50 going to be taking this purple shade Psychedelic Sister
02:52 from Urban Decay, which I will show you guys later on,
02:55 and this MAC 217 brush and just blending it all out.
02:58 It's really just all about blending, because you
03:00 don't want to look really crazy and too precise
03:02 with this purple eyeshadow, because it is a bit daring.
03:06 And then I'm just going to be taking some MAC Glow & Glow
03:08 Concealer again and concealing sort
03:10 of the outer part of my eye, which was a little bit too
03:12 messy for my liking.
03:13 And then blending it out with my finger.
03:15 And then here with this pink color,
03:17 I will have it down below because I don't know it right
03:19 now, but it's OK.
03:20 I'm just going to be taking it down on my lower lash line.

03:26 And with Psychedelic Sister, blending in the purple
03:29 on the outer corner as well.
03:31 With this light creamy color, with this Sigma pencil brush,
03:34 I'm going to be taking this on my brow bone.

03:40 With this sort of fishnet type thing
03:42 I sort of put off of an old backpack,
03:43 I'm going to be taking Urban Decay's Blitz
03:45 on this fluffy angled brush from Sigma
03:48 and applying this underneath my brow bone
03:49 to create this awesome, crazy, amazing scaling effect.

03:57 Next, I'm just going to be tight lining my upper lash line
03:59 and then lining that as well with my L'Oreal
04:01 Linear Intense Liquid Liner for a little bit of a wing.
04:06 With this blue shade from my BH Cosmetics palette,
04:09 as I showed you before, I'm going
04:10 to be taking this and applying this on the half of my face.
04:13 I know it looks kind of weird right now,
04:15 but we will work with it later on.
04:17 I'm using this NYX Mullein Shimmer Glitter Stick
04:19 thing to create a little bit more shimmer,
04:22 because we're mermaids.

04:31 Doing the same as we did on our eyes,
04:32 I'm just going to be taking this more denser NYX brush
04:35 and applying the mesh over the blue
04:37 and then using the same gold shadow to just create the scales.
04:40 And I think that this illusion is seriously so cool.
04:43 You can use larger scales or smaller scales.
04:45 I just really like this tiny, more detailed look.

04:53 And then here, I honestly just got really bored
04:55 and felt like putting some gold along my ear.
04:58 Don't ask me why.
05:00 And then accentuating the collarbone
05:02 with the blue and the gold.

05:11 With Maybelline's Lots of Lash Mascara,
05:13 I'm using this to sort of get on the more inner corners
05:16 of our eyes, because we are going to be using some really
05:19 gorgeous, flawless, amazing false lashes.
05:22 These are the Velour Lashes in Completely.
05:24 And applying some glue to the band
05:26 and applying them onto our eyes.
05:28 I love them so much, and they seriously just look so amazing.
05:31 I was not slim-thin by any chance.
05:33 And then here is, I guess, Half and Half from MAC.
05:36 And applying this with a lip brush all over my lips
05:39 and onto the hair.

05:43 So I curled my hair before filming this,
05:45 just to show you guys the extensions.
05:46 I curled them just like how I'm doing the extensions.
05:49 Personally, these are from CC Hair Extensions.
05:51 These are auburn, and these are, I think, 22 inches.
05:54 I got-- personally, they don't really hold a curl that well.
05:57 But if you blend them and you do curl them with your hair,
06:00 they will stay a lot longer.
06:03 As I was curling them, I just smelt
06:05 a little bit of a burning plastic kind of smell.
06:07 But they are real human hair, so I
06:09 didn't really know what that was.
06:10 Maybe it was a protective coating.
06:12 But other than that, they are really nice, shiny,
06:14 great quality.
06:16 And I think that they're really durable, too.
06:18 I just wouldn't recommend doing a lot of heat.
06:20 If you do like to curl your hair a lot, do not use these.
06:23 If you keep natural, straight hair,
06:25 then I would definitely recommend getting these.
