PARTY HAIRSTYLE Bun with side Braid - Messy bun

00:00 Hi everyone, today we are going to do a messy coiled updo with a side braid.
00:07 This is for those days when you really don't have time and yet you want to have a fun look.
00:14 So let's get started.
00:15 To begin with, I'm going to take a section of the hair from the top and bring it to the
00:25 side and then gather the remaining portion of hair into a loose ponytail and then tie
00:35 it using a hair tie.
00:48 Once you have made this ponytail, just twist it as you see and then turn it around and
01:00 keep twisting and turning as you see and keep doing so until you reach the end and then
01:08 tuck it into a bun using bobby pins.
01:15 Once this is a messy bun, you don't need to really make it look smooth or plain.
01:24 This is the hairstyle we are doing and not trying to achieve a sleek look.
01:31 Once you have created that bun, take the piece of hair that you left and this piece of hair
01:40 you bring from the left side to the right side as you see and then if you have bangs,
01:48 you can leave the bangs like so and take the remaining portion of hair and if you have
01:53 long hair all the way through, you can gather all the hair and make a regular braid and
02:02 try to make a loose braid.
02:04 Don't make it too tight so that the initial portion of the hair kind of hangs on and then
02:10 you have a braid because it's easy to style it later and then once you have created that
02:19 braid, bring it to the center of your bun as you see and tuck it using a bobby pin.
02:28 You can then tuck any loose ends of the braid into the center of the bun and don't worry
02:37 about making it too neat because you are going to cover it later.
02:46 So this is how the bun looks from the back.
02:51 It's like a coiled bun.
02:55 Now I'm using a hair accessory, in this case it's a flower and this will cover the center
02:59 portion and make it look more tidy and also it kind of gloms up the look and makes it
03:05 look beautiful.
03:06 Now taking the bangs, either you can leave them, in this case I'm going to bring them
03:12 together and tuck it under the side braid to give it a different kind of a look.
03:19 You can try different variations, whatever suits you and this is how the final look is.
03:25 You can wear it to parties or if you are hard pressed with time, this is a very easy look
