Romantic Date-Night Makeup Tutorial

00:00 Hi guys, I'm Juliette, I'm Birchbox's social media manager, and today I'm going to show
00:06 you how to get this gorgeous, romantic makeup look.
00:09 I think it's perfect for a date night or just hanging out with your friends, and I love
00:14 it because it has this gorgeous gold in the inner corners and underneath the eyes, which
00:18 really makes your eyes pop.
00:19 So let's get started.
00:24 First, I'm applying Dr. Jart's Radiance BB Cream all over my face with a beauty blender,
00:30 and I love this one because it has a luminizing tint that really makes my skin glow.
00:35 Then I'm going to use the tip of my beauty blender under my eyes and anywhere that needs
00:41 a touch up.
00:43 Next, I'm using Benefit's Fake Up Concealer on my under eyes, and I'm using my ring finger
00:50 to gently press it in.
00:51 I love this one because it's really creamy and doesn't crease on my under eyes.
00:55 I always prime my eyelids to brighten them and make sure my shadow stays on all day,
01:00 and I love this one from Smashbox because it creates a really nice, even base.
01:04 So now that my base makeup is on, I'm contouring with a bronzer from Laura Geller, and it actually
01:09 has built-in color correcting pigment, so it doesn't look muddy or orange on my skin.
01:14 I'm applying it in a three-shape along my forehead, cheekbones, and jawline, and I really
01:18 think that making a fish face actually helps you get the perfect contour line.
01:21 Then I use an eyeshadow brush to get a more precise contour on my nose.
01:30 And I'm using the One Perfecting Brush from Becca to buff everything in.
01:37 Now I'm using Laura Geller's Blush and Brighten in Pink Grapefruit, and I like to smile when
01:41 I apply it so I can see exactly where the apples of my cheeks are.
01:51 Then I use a beauty blender to blend everything in and make sure there's no harsh lines.
01:56 Next I'm highlighting with Cindy Luminizer from The Balm, and I'm applying it to the
01:59 bridge of my nose, my cheekbones, and my cupid's bow.
02:02 It has a slight shimmery pink, which really complements this look.
02:09 So let's move on to the eyes.
02:11 To start, I'm applying a dusty rose from the Coastal Scents Reveal 2 palette into the crease
02:16 with a fluffy eyeshadow brush, and I like to call this the windshield wiper motion.
02:22 Now I'm using Stila's In The Light palette in the Lustre shade on the outer corner.
02:29 Make a small open triangle following your natural eye shape.
02:40 Now I'm using Bubbly from the same Stila palette, and I'm using my finger to press it right
02:45 into the center of my lid.
02:52 Now use your eyeliner brush to apply a mauve color halfway along the bottom lash line.
03:08 Next I'm going to use a shimmery champagne mineral shadow on the other half of my bottom
03:12 lash line, but to make it really stand out, I'm going to first apply Well People's Bio
03:15 Brightener Stick with an eyeliner brush.
03:19 Then I'm just going to press that mineral shadow into my inner corner and lower lash
03:23 line, and this technique really amps up the color and brightens your eyes.
03:30 Now I'm applying Eyeko's Black Liquid Liner across my top lash line and winging it out
03:35 just a little bit at the ends.
03:44 And to get the perfect wing, I always start from the outside and work my way in.
04:05 Then I'm using a volumizing mascara on my top and bottom lashes, and I love Benefit's
04:09 They're Real because it really makes it look like I'm wearing fake eyelashes.
04:23 Now I'm using Anastasia Brow Wiz to fill in my brows, and I'm using this spoolie end to
04:27 brush the shape I want.
04:32 Then using the pencil side, I just use small feathery strokes.
04:43 Lastly I'm using Cynthia Rowley Beauty's Creamy Lip Stain in Sugar all over my lips.
04:54 And then I use just a little bit of Laura Mercier's Lip Gloss in Pout to highlight the
04:58 center of my lips and make my lips look fuller.
