00:24Welcome to my kitchen.
00:26My kitchen that is currently under renovation.
00:30There's no refrigerator and there's no oven, but there is a microwave.
00:37Now, that's not necessarily a bad thing.
00:41We do have the beautiful and very talented Rosia Fukuda with us today, who is going to
00:49lead us in making some amazing Valentine's Day desserts in the microwave.
00:57Now, we're not going to tell you what we're creating and baking.
01:03We're going to hope that you'll follow along and maybe you'll be able to figure it out.
01:11So Rosia, welcome.
01:12Thank you for being here.
01:14You're amazing.
01:15Let's get started.
01:17Thank you so much for having me again, Sandra.
01:20It's my pleasure.
01:21We're going to have a lot of fun.
01:23We're going to do something different.
01:24It's going to be very, very interesting because, as you say, we don't have an oven, so we're
01:30going to be making something in the microwave.
01:33Right.
01:34That's great.
01:35This is great for those out there that may necessarily like to cook and bake.
01:41We've got the answer, the microwave.
01:44So let's get started.
01:45It doesn't take that long.
01:46Probably like five minutes in baking, like cooking, microwaving.
01:51So the ingredients that we're going to use is also super simple.
01:57Not even egg.
01:58We don't use egg.
01:59We don't have butter.
02:00We're going to substitute it for oil, which is really easy to make.
02:05Everything, we're just going to mix.
02:06We're not even going to use a mixer now.
02:09Just the whisk.
02:10So everything is going to be fast and easy.
02:13Great.
02:14So we can do the sugar now, and we can sift the cocoa powder.
02:23Great.
02:24With the baking powder and our flour.
02:31So those are basically our dry ingredients.
02:34Mm-hmm.
02:35Beautiful.
02:36Yeah.
02:37So just a little sifting.
02:41We just want to mix them all together.
02:43Very nice.
02:44Mm.
02:45I smell the cocoa.
02:47Yeah, the cocoa is good.
02:49There we go.
02:52And we're just going to whisk it with our liquid ingredients.
03:00So we're going to put some oil.
03:01OK.
03:02And the water.
03:03It's warm water, so you can dissolve the chocolate really well with that.
03:12Very good.
03:17That's great.
03:18We don't even need a blender.
03:19Yeah.
03:21So once you have all your ingredients set up, you just mix them all together.
03:26Make sure everything is well mixed.
03:29And that's it.
03:30Fabulous.
03:31Yeah.
03:32So for the microwave, obviously, we're not going to use a metal pan.
03:34OK.
03:35But I do have my favorite container.
03:38I see.
03:39A little Kit Kat.
03:40Yeah.
03:41So this is about six inches.
03:43We can divide the batter into two.
03:46OK.
03:47And then we can, after, we can just fill it up.
03:51We don't need to pour the cake or anything.
03:53We can do some filling, and then we're going to cover it.

03:57If you want to.
03:58So, yeah.
03:59Have the honors.
04:00Finish it up.
04:01While you're doing that, I'm going to pour a little Godiva.
04:06Mm.
04:07A little liqueur.
04:08A little liqueur into my cafe.
04:11Mm.
04:12Yummy.
04:13And let's see.
04:14I'm going to just go over here and just give you a little something.

04:20All right.
04:21So we have this.
04:22And obviously, we don't want the cake to stick on the bottom.
04:27So we're just going to use some spray.
04:30Just a little bit.
04:31We don't need that much.
04:32And our little parchment paper.

04:36So it's very easy to take it out.
04:38OK.
04:39And since we only have one container, we're going to divide it in two.
04:43So it only takes like five minutes to bake or put it in the microwave.

04:49And then we're just going to unmold it and then do the other one.

04:56Another ten minutes.
04:57Perfect.
04:58So I'm going to put it in there.

05:19So since we cannot frost our cake hot.

05:24We already have some already made.
05:26Pre-prepared.
05:27And this is how it comes out.
05:29It's super easy.
05:30Just flip it over and it comes out.
05:32You just take the parchment paper off.
05:34You don't want to eat it.
05:38And then, yeah.
05:40And this is all we need.
05:42And we need our buttercream.

05:45So in this case, we're going to use yellow buttercream.
05:48We already prepared that too.
05:51And we've got hugs and kisses.

05:55So let's put the buttercream over here.

06:01So what we're going to do, if you want to wear your gloves, that's totally fine.

06:12it doesn't move.
06:13We don't need, like I said before, we don't need to cut it or anything.

06:18So you just hold it, put it in there, and then we're going to fill it up.
06:23So you're going to do the same thing on yours.

06:29Buttercream.
06:30And then we're going to do the filling.
06:32The filling is going to be the same, our yellow buttercream.

06:50And then you're going to put the other cake on top.

07:04And then we're just going to cover the whole cake with the buttercream because we're doing
07:10two yellow cakes.

08:29Sometimes the smallest cake gets a little harder than frost, than the bigger cakes.
08:36The bigger cakes have more stability because of their weight and their mold.

08:56we go, yeah, you want to just do it, there we go, put it down the sides, yeah.

09:20But we're getting there, we're getting there, anybody figuring out what's coming, what we're

09:41And everybody uses it a lot, like I would say every day, right?

10:49buy the silicone molds and they do have like shapes, so every time you just unmold it,
10:55the shape is already made for you.

10:59Yeah, and if you don't want to go through all this frosting process, you melt a little
11:05bit of frosting in the microwave and then just pour it over, so it's super easy.
