00:02 - Hi everybody, I'm Patricia Hartman.
00:24 Welcome back to my channel.
00:26 So today I'd like to share a look with you
00:27 that is inspired by a photo shoot
00:30 that I did with this amazing artist.
00:32 His name is Javier Valenrad.
00:34 He was from Spain and to this day
00:37 he's shown in art galleries all over the world.
00:39 We shot this for French Vogue
00:41 and the look was kind of like a gypsy, hippie,
00:44 grunge chic as you can see with the makeup.
00:47 A lot of gold, a lot of sparkle, a lot of black.
00:51 And here's the tutorial.
00:52 I hope you like it.
00:56 All right, so I've already done my base
00:58 and I'm gonna get started with my eyebrows.
01:00 Some eyebrow gel in a medium dark brown
01:02 and an angled eyebrow brush.
01:05 I'm just gonna fill in all the sparse areas.
01:08 And this had a pretty dark brow
01:09 so the medium brown is a good color.
01:12 I'm just gonna work in little strokes
01:14 and just make sure I work on the arch pretty well
01:18 and blend it again with little strokes
01:21 until you achieve the desired result.
01:25 (upbeat music)
01:28 Next I'm gonna take this little eyeshadow palette
01:36 and use the bronze golden satin shadow
01:39 and I'm gonna put on a flat eyeshadow brush
01:41 and just apply it as a base shadow
01:44 all over my eyelids and my brow bone.
01:47 (upbeat music)
01:50 Next I'm going to use a wet glitter base
02:13 that I'm gonna put all over my eyelid
02:15 and it'll help adhere the glitter.
02:18 (upbeat music)
02:21 So while the glitter base is still wet
02:31 I'm going to take a loose bronzy golden glitter,
02:35 put it all over the same flat brush
02:38 and just press it onto my eyelids
02:41 and it'll adhere to the wet glitter glue.
02:45 (upbeat music)
02:48 Next I'm gonna use a bronze eyeliner pencil
02:59 and I'm just gonna apply it into the waterline
03:02 and also underneath my eye.
03:04 (upbeat music)
03:08 (upbeat music)
03:11 And then I'm going to use the angled eyeliner brush
03:21 and just blend it out a little bit.
03:22 (upbeat music)
03:25 All right so next I'm going to take a felt tip eyeliner pen
03:35 and just apply it all over my upper lash line.
03:40 I'm gonna put a tiny little wing at the end
03:41 but not too much 'cause that's really not part of the look.
03:45 Just take your time and wing it out a tiny bit.
03:50 (upbeat music)
03:53 All right next I'm going to use a fluffy blending brush,
03:58 that same palette but the darker brown shadow.
04:02 I'm gonna apply it all over my crease
04:04 to give the eye a nice definition.
04:06 Just go back and forth, back and forth
04:08 and blend really well.
04:10 (upbeat music)
04:12 All right for this look I'm only gonna use mascara,
04:20 no false eyelashes.
04:22 So just make sure you use lots and lots of it
04:25 all over your top and bottom lashes.
04:27 Just wiggle the wand at the base of your lashes
04:30 and then pull upward and just go back and forth
04:33 between one eye and the next
04:35 until you achieve the desired result.
04:37 All right then I'm going to use a fluffy bronzing brush
04:44 and dip it into just a medium brown golden bronzer
04:47 and apply it all over my cheeks,
04:49 a little bit on my forehead,
04:51 a little dot on my nose and just blend it really well
04:54 just to give you a little bit of a color wash.
04:56 (upbeat music)
04:58 (upbeat music)
05:01 And so last I'm going to use a golden lip liner
05:13 and just very gently line my lips.
05:15 Color's not too dark so there's not a lot of room
05:17 for mistake.
05:18 Just work it in the top lip and your lower.
05:25 (upbeat music)
05:28 And at the very end just fill it in
05:40 with a bronzy golden lip gloss.
05:43 (upbeat music)
05:47 (upbeat music)
05:49 All right so this is it.
06:06 This is the final look.
06:08 It's a bohemian gypsy chic and I hope you like it.
