00:00:17 but I'm going to read verses one through 15
00:00:22 out of the book of Joshua chapter number five.
00:00:27 When you have it, say amen.
00:00:30 - Amen.
00:00:31 - Now when all the Amorite kings west of the Jordan
00:00:35 and all the Canaanite kings along the coast
00:00:40 heard how the Lord had dried up the Jordan
00:00:43 before the Israelites until they had crossed over,
00:00:47 their hearts melted in fear
00:00:51 and they no longer had the courage to face the Israelites.
00:00:54 Stop right there, I want to go back and do that again.
00:00:56 Now when the Amorite kings, look at how everything
00:01:00 is put in perspective based on the Jordan in itself.
00:01:05 Now when all the Amorite kings west of the Jordan
00:01:10 and all the Canaanite kings along the coast
00:01:15 heard how the Lord had dried up the Jordan
00:01:18 before the Israelites until they had crossed over,
00:01:22 their hearts melted in fear
00:01:25 and they no longer had the courage to face the Israelites
00:01:29 because of what God did at the Jordan, come on.
00:01:32 At that time, the Lord said to Joshua,
00:01:35 Joshua, make flint knives and circumcise the Israelites
00:01:40 again, so Joshua made flint knives,
00:01:45 ooh, it hurts to read this,
00:01:47 and circumcised the Israelites at Gebeah, Heraloth.
00:01:54 Now this is why he did so.
00:01:57 All those who came out of Egypt,
00:02:00 all the men of military age died in the wilderness
00:02:04 on the way after leaving Egypt.
00:02:08 All the people that came out had been circumcised
00:02:12 but all the people born in the wilderness
00:02:16 during the journey from Egypt had not.
00:02:21 The Israelites had moved about in the wilderness 40 years
00:02:25 until all the men who were of military age
00:02:28 when they left Egypt had died
00:02:31 since they had not obeyed the Lord.
00:02:34 For the Lord had sworn to them
00:02:37 that they would not see the land
00:02:39 he had solemnly promised their ancestors to give us,
00:02:43 a land flowing with milk and honey.
00:02:48 So he raised up their sons, oh my God.
00:02:53 The thing that he had for the fathers,
00:02:56 he gave to the sons.
00:02:59 Because of their disobedience,
00:03:01 he passed up that generation
00:03:04 and dropped it to the next generation, oh my God.
00:03:09 So he raised up their sons in their place
00:03:14 and these were the ones Joshua circumcised.
00:03:19 They were bleeding but they were blessed.
00:03:21 Oh my God from dying.
00:03:26 They were still uncircumcised
00:03:28 because they had not been circumcised on the way.
00:03:33 They were moving uncircumcised.
00:03:35 They were progressing uncircumcised
00:03:38 but you can only go so far before God has to correct
00:03:44 what has been uncorrected.
00:03:48 They moved along the way uncircumcised.
00:03:51 A lot of us move along the way
00:03:53 and we get a lot of things done
00:03:54 but that doesn't mean that God is totally pleased
00:03:57 just because you have progress.
00:03:59 Doesn't mean that God has pleasure
00:04:01 because you are moving
00:04:03 but you're moving in an uncircumcised fashion
00:04:06 and sooner or later it's gonna catch up to you
00:04:09 and God says I gotta fix this
00:04:12 before you cross over into your ultimate sacrifice.
00:04:16 I gotta get some of your flesh cut out of the way.
00:04:20 Oh I don't know who I'm talking to.
00:04:22 And after the whole nation had been circumcised
00:04:26 they remained where they were in camp
00:04:28 until they were healed.
00:04:31 Isn't it funny how God will stop everything
00:04:34 for you to get healed?
00:04:36 How God doesn't want you to serve bleeding,
00:04:41 serve wounded, that God wants you to be healed
00:04:43 and to recover so that he can get
00:04:46 the fullness out of your life?
00:04:48 Then the Lord said to Joshua,
00:04:50 today I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.
00:04:55 The reproach, the residue, the curse of Egypt
00:04:57 has been rolled away.
00:04:59 Even though you weren't born in it,
00:05:01 you have reproached from it.
00:05:05 These were born along the way
00:05:08 and yet the residue of the experience of their fathers
00:05:13 had affected the sons.
00:05:15 And he said this day I have rolled away
00:05:17 the reproach of Egypt from you.
00:05:19 So the place has been called Gilgal to this day.
00:05:23 I want you to hear what I just said.
00:05:26 They weren't in Egypt.
00:05:28 They weren't from Egypt.
00:05:32 They were born after Egypt.
00:05:35 But the reproach of Egypt was still on them.
00:05:40 Can you say amen?
00:05:41 Say amen for the first lady.
00:05:42 I see all y'all looking at her.
00:05:44 I can't preach till you say something.
00:05:46 So go ahead, let's get that out.
00:05:48 So the place has been called Gilgal to this day, okay?
00:05:55 On the evening of the 14th day of the month
00:06:00 while camped at Gilgal on the plains of Jericho,
00:06:04 the Israelites celebrated the Passover.
00:06:08 Now they've gone from bleeding to celebration.
00:06:12 The day after the Passover, that very day,
00:06:16 they ate some of the produce of the land,
00:06:19 unleavened bread and roasted grain.
00:06:22 The manna stopped the day after.
00:06:27 What did it do?
00:06:29 It stopped the day after they ate this food from the land.
00:06:33 There was no longer any manna for the Israelites.
00:06:38 But that year they ate the produce of Canaan.
00:06:42 Just because God stops doing what you're used to
00:06:46 doesn't mean he's not with you.
00:06:48 You can't hold God back to who he was
00:06:55 while he's trying to show you who he is.
00:06:59 And you feel punished because the manna stopped.
00:07:01 The manna stopped because it's no longer necessary.
00:07:05 Sometimes God removes things out of your life
00:07:07 because you don't need them like you used to need them.
00:07:11 And yet you're crying out for what was
00:07:14 at the expense of what is.
00:07:17 Oh, help me Jesus.
00:07:20 Now when Joshua was near Jericho,
00:07:22 he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him
00:07:26 with a drawn sword in his hand.
00:07:29 And this is not a natural man.
00:07:32 This is a theophonic manifestation of God himself,
00:07:36 an angelic host of heaven,
00:07:38 I believe, a theophany within itself.
00:07:40 Joshua went up to him and asked,
00:07:43 are you for us or for our enemies?
00:07:46 That's one thing about it.
00:07:47 Joshua, kind of like Peter, he would take you on.
00:07:51 He said, what's up?
00:07:53 And the angel spoke, neither.
00:07:59 He replied, but as the commander of the army of the Lord,
00:08:03 I am the commander of the army of the Lord,
00:08:06 I have now come.
00:08:08 I didn't come for your enemy.
00:08:10 I didn't come for you.
00:08:12 I came for God's purpose.
00:08:16 Then Joshua fell face down on the ground in reverence
00:08:22 and asked him, what message does my Lord have
00:08:26 for his servant?
00:08:29 The commander of the Lord's army replied,
00:08:31 take off your shoes.
00:08:33 For the place whereon you are standing is holy.
00:08:39 It's holy.
00:08:40 Somebody shout holy.
00:08:41 And Joshua did so.
00:08:44 Can you say amen?
00:08:46 Take me back to the first verse for just a moment.
00:08:48 I'll take my thought out of there.
00:08:50 Now, when all the Amorite kings west of the Jordan

00:09:16 The power to stop.
00:09:24 Think about that.
00:09:25 The power to stop.
00:09:29 Fill in the blank.
00:09:31 Oh, what do you need?
00:09:34 The power to stop.
00:09:44 Type it on the line, the power to stop.
00:09:47 Put it in the text, the power to stop.
00:09:49 The power, the power, the power, the power to stop.
00:09:53 Spirit of the living God, fall fresh on us tonight.
00:09:57 Intoxicate us with your glory.
00:10:04 Inundate us with your presence.
00:10:06 Endow us with your word.
00:10:10 Open up the oracles of eternity
00:10:12 and release truth to us in our innermost parts.
00:10:17 I thank you in advance for what you're going to do.
00:10:20 I thank you because you're God all by yourself.
00:10:23 I thank you because you can do anything but fail.
00:10:26 I thank you because you have summonsed us here tonight
00:10:29 to hear what the spirit of the Lord will say to the church.
00:10:33 We will give the utmost heedance to your word
00:10:37 as you speak tonight.
00:10:40 We will heed it and obey it.
00:10:42 In Jesus' name we pray.
00:10:45 At the top of your lungs, shout amen.
00:10:48 - Amen.
00:10:49 - You may be seated in the presence of God.
00:10:51 How y'all doing?
00:10:54 We are in the book of Joshua.
00:11:00 We are in the book of Joshua.
00:11:05 We are in the book of Joshua.
00:11:08 We are in the book of Yahshua.
00:11:10 There is a parallel between Joshua and Yahshua.
00:11:19 Yahshua is Joshua's pronunciation.
00:11:23 Jesus reveals himself in the New Testament, Yahshua.
00:11:28 In the Old Testament, his shadow is Joshua.
00:11:32 We are in the book of Joshua.
00:11:35 This is not for the faint of heart.
00:11:38 This is not for the weak.
00:11:40 This is not for people who are fragile and sensitive.
00:11:44 This is the book for people who are going to take
00:11:48 what the enemy stole from them.
00:11:51 This is not for those who cannot stand discomfort
00:11:59 or draw back at turbulence
00:12:03 because this is a book of transition.
00:12:07 This is a book that comes right after the death of Moses.
00:12:12 It is at the end of grieving.
00:12:15 It is a benediction to that which was
00:12:19 and the birthing of that which shall be.
00:12:22 As I was with Moses, so shall I be with you.
00:12:27 I will be with you as I was, but you will not be him.
00:12:33 So this is a time of transition.
00:12:39 This is a time of discovery
00:12:41 so that I might discover how to wear the glory of Moses
00:12:46 in the authenticity of who I am.
00:12:50 I cannot imitate him.
00:12:54 I must be authentically Yahshua,
00:12:57 but his anointing has come to rest upon me
00:13:01 if I am sure of my own identity.
00:13:05 As I was, God says, as I was with Moses,
00:13:10 so shall I be with you.
00:13:12 So don't be him.
00:13:15 Because I'm going to be the same,
00:13:20 but you're going to be you
00:13:22 with my presence on you.
00:13:27 Yahshua, Joshua,
00:13:33 you're going to possess the gate of the enemy.
00:13:40 I am going to use you to roll back the reproach
00:13:45 of the Egyptians on a people who never met the Egyptians.
00:13:51 Oh my God.
00:13:53 A people who have not met the Egyptians,
00:13:58 but are affected generationally by their predecessors.
00:14:04 The trauma of Egypt has fallen
00:14:08 on the children of the wilderness.
00:14:13 And I am going to pull the trauma off of them
00:14:16 even though their trauma does not match their memories.
00:14:21 You do know you can inherit trauma
00:14:25 without going through the things
00:14:28 that your grandparents went through.
00:14:30 They can pass on their phobias, their fears,
00:14:33 their traumas, their anxieties.
00:14:36 And all of a sudden you're acting in a way
00:14:37 that you don't understand.
00:14:39 And you don't know that it's not even coming
00:14:41 from your birthday forward.
00:14:43 It's coming before your birthday here.
00:14:46 It happened way back to your grandparents
00:14:49 or parents in Egypt.
00:14:50 And they left you in the wheel, their fear,
00:14:54 their trauma, their perversion,
00:15:01 their brokenness, their pain.
00:15:04 And God says to Joshua,
00:15:06 "I've anointed you to roll back the reproach of Egypt
00:15:11 "from a people who had never been."
00:15:15 I wonder what's on you that you never earned.
00:15:19 That was passed down to you.
00:15:25 That you became the beneficiary for something
00:15:29 for which you did not labor.
00:15:32 And yet it's all over you.
00:15:34 Affects what you're afraid of,
00:15:37 affects how you react,
00:15:38 affects your temperament,
00:15:39 affects your moods,
00:15:41 affects your disposition,
00:15:43 affects what you can't stand,
00:15:44 what you can't take.
00:15:45 And you don't know why you can't stand it.
00:15:48 Because you've never been to Egypt,
00:15:49 but Egypt has been to you.
00:15:51 Are you hearing what I'm saying to you?
00:15:55 So, there we are with Joshua having this responsibility,
00:16:00 not only cleansing their heart from the grief of Moses,
00:16:04 but cleansing their heart from the residual effect
00:16:07 of the ancestral curse that has passed
00:16:11 from generation to generation.
00:16:13 He has to do it with a sharp stone at Gilgal.
00:16:18 And it's a bloody business.
00:16:24 Sometimes getting free
00:16:26 is a bloody business.
00:16:33 That's why we don't see the loosing and deliverance
00:16:37 that we used to see in the church
00:16:38 because we don't like how messy deliverance is.
00:16:43 Yeah.
00:16:45 Yeah.
00:16:47 In the old church, we would roll the floor,
00:16:49 but now we're too cute to be rolling on the floor
00:16:52 because real deliverance, real breakthrough
00:16:56 where you really turn into somebody new,
00:16:59 not somebody who has a church glaze over a sinner's heart.
00:17:04 Real deliverance requires some bloodshed and some pain
00:17:09 and some swelling and some suffering
00:17:12 and a time of silence while you heal.
00:17:17 Real deliverance is painful.
00:17:20 It doesn't accommodate your nervous system.
00:17:24 It's not designed to make you feel good about yourself.
00:17:27 And we live in a generation
00:17:29 where everybody wants to make you feel good.
00:17:31 And if they don't make you feel good,
00:17:33 you leave and go to another church.
00:17:34 And if they don't make you feel good,
00:17:36 you leave and go to another church.
00:17:38 And if this husband don't make you feel good,
00:17:40 you'll get you another one.
00:17:41 And if that one don't make you feel good,
00:17:43 you'll get you another one because you keep feeling good,
00:17:45 but you never get better.
00:17:47 Because sometimes in order to get better,
00:17:50 you got to hurt and bleed and swell up
00:17:53 and scab up and heal up and go through deliverance
00:17:56 to get to the place where you get the breakthrough
00:17:58 that you really need.
00:18:00 But everybody's so busy being soft in their parenting
00:18:03 and soft in their pastoring and soft in their preaching
00:18:07 that we're producing soft leaders and soft men
00:18:10 and soft women and everybody's so soft
00:18:13 that you ought to stamp Charmin on your head
00:18:16 because you too soft to be a leader.
00:18:18 (congregation cheering)
00:18:22 You hear what I'm saying too?
00:18:36 You got to take people's temperature
00:18:38 before you tell them the truth.
00:18:40 They can't handle the truth.
00:18:45 And so Joshua has this dubious complicated task
00:18:49 of leading them through this critical situation
00:18:53 surrounded by the King of the Canaanites,
00:18:58 surrounded by enemies who are on both sides of the Jordan.
00:19:03 Let me spend some time with the Jordan
00:19:10 because the Jordan is very, very important to the text.
00:19:15 If not the star of the text,
00:19:20 the Jordan is the impetus through which the heathens
00:19:24 now respect the Israelites
00:19:27 because of what God did through the Jordan.
00:19:30 Let us begin by understanding that the text
00:19:35 does not tell us the topography of the Jordan.
00:19:40 And if you don't understand the topography of the Jordan,
00:19:44 then the text loses its power.
00:19:47 Number one, I have been to Jerusalem
00:19:50 and I've been to Jordan and I've been in the Jordan River
00:19:54 and I've seen it and I saw the Sea of Galilee,
00:19:57 which is above it, which flows down into it.
00:20:01 And I understand that it goes all the way
00:20:04 back to Mount Hebron.
00:20:06 You remember when the Bible said,
00:20:09 "Behold how good and pleasant it is
00:20:11 for brethren to dwell together in unity.
00:20:14 It is like the oil that fell upon the head of Aaron
00:20:16 onto his beards and onto his skirts.
00:20:19 It is like the dew that fell on Mount Hermon."
00:20:23 The dew that fell on Mount Hermon was famous.
00:20:26 Many theologians think that Mount Hermon
00:20:28 and the Mount of Transfiguration were the same mountains.
00:20:32 At the bottom of the mountains,
00:20:33 the flowers were a result of the dew
00:20:36 and the condensation that created a waterfall
00:20:39 that contributed to the Jordan River
00:20:43 that flowed through the Sea of Galilee.
00:20:47 The Jordan River has many contributing forces
00:20:51 that causes it to flow.
00:20:53 It is fresh water.
00:20:55 Now, notice I started on the mountain.
00:20:58 I started on the mountain,
00:21:01 but it slides down from the mountain.
00:21:06 To the Sea of Galilee, when I went to the Sea of Galilee,
00:21:09 it was after I had gone down the road to Jericho,
00:21:12 and it was a winding road down.
00:21:15 Certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho.
00:21:18 See, anytime you're at Jerusalem, you had a high place.
00:21:21 That's why the Bible called it a city set up on a hill
00:21:24 that cannot be hid.
00:21:25 Jerusalem is a high place, but on your way down to Jericho,
00:21:30 you're coming down like the water is coming down.
00:21:34 It's coming down, it's coming down.
00:21:37 And there, the Sea of Galilee was down at the bottom,
00:21:40 and it was beautiful, and it was wonderful.
00:21:41 And it's fresh water, fresh water, drinkable water,
00:21:45 replenishing water.
00:21:46 That's why the cities are built around water,
00:21:51 because water sustains life.
00:21:53 And in the early days, most cities were built around water
00:21:57 so that they would have the sustenance
00:22:00 that was necessary to support life.
00:22:03 Watch me, I'm headed somewhere.
00:22:05 Now, we're going down.
00:22:07 Somebody say, "We're going down."
00:22:08 - We're going down.
00:22:10 - As the Jordan begins to collect
00:22:13 all of its contributing factors and continues to flow,
00:22:17 it flows with such power and such grace
00:22:22 until as it continues to go down,
00:22:25 it goes lower and lower until it goes below sea level.
00:22:32 And eventually, if you study it out,
00:22:35 the Jordan flows into what is called the Dead Sea.
00:22:39 And there is nothing that can flow,
00:22:43 there's nothing that can survive in the Dead Sea,
00:22:47 because the Dead Sea is so salty
00:22:51 that you could literally stand up and walk across it.
00:22:55 How did something start so fresh?
00:23:00 (congregation laughing)
00:23:02 How could it be up on the mountain and be so fresh
00:23:06 and keep going down and down and down
00:23:10 until the freshwater has turned to saltwater?
00:23:15 Are you following what I'm saying?
00:23:17 Now, the Jordan River in the early days,
00:23:20 in the historical days,
00:23:21 was about 1.3 billion cubic meters per year.
00:23:28 1.3 billion is a lot of cubic meters,
00:23:33 just 20 to 30 million cubic meters per year now.
00:23:38 But originally, the Jordan was a force to be reckoned with.
00:23:43 It was forceful, it was full,
00:23:47 and during certain seasons, it would overflood the banks
00:23:52 and it was powerful.
00:23:54 And when Joshua crosses the Jordan,
00:23:56 it is at the peak of a season
00:23:59 where the banks are overflowing,
00:24:02 but don't let it be lost on you
00:24:04 that the Jordan is coming down.
00:24:08 In fact, some scholars teach us
00:24:10 that the Jordan's literal translation
00:24:14 for the word Jordan means to come down,
00:24:17 to come down.
00:24:20 The text doesn't give us a topography.
00:24:24 You have to do your own research
00:24:26 to get the topography,
00:24:28 but the text is coming down.
00:24:30 So if the text is coming down,
00:24:32 the water is coming down,
00:24:35 and the water is coming down.
00:24:36 I was having a conversation with a girl who's a scientist,
00:24:40 and I asked her what she thought
00:24:41 about the rainforest in Brazil,
00:24:43 and she said, "Before we talk about the rainforest in Brazil,"
00:24:48 she said, "We have to deal
00:24:49 "with the Sub-Saharan Desert in Africa
00:24:54 "because it is the dust storm
00:24:56 "in the Sub-Saharan areas of Africa
00:24:59 "that creates the clouds that blow over to Brazil
00:25:04 "that causes the rain."
00:25:06 Cause and effect.
00:25:12 If there were no Mount Hebron,
00:25:14 there wouldn't be a Jordan.
00:25:16 If there wasn't a Sea of Galilee,
00:25:18 there wouldn't be a Jordan.
00:25:20 It starts up here.
00:25:21 If it wasn't fresh water,
00:25:23 there wouldn't be salt water,
00:25:24 but as it goes down,
00:25:27 that's when it starts to get salty.
00:25:30 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:25:33 It gets salty when it goes down.
00:25:34 It gets salty because it goes below sea level,
00:25:39 and when fresh water gets contaminated below sea level,
00:25:44 it becomes a dumping place for salt.
00:25:51 You remember that Lot's wife
00:25:54 would have escaped Sodom and Gomorrah,
00:26:00 but she had to look back one more time,
00:26:03 and her judgment was to become a pillar of salt,
00:26:07 and they went forward, but she went down.
00:26:10 Yes, Jordan to go down.
00:26:16 I wanna spend some time on the Jordan River
00:26:18 because the Jordan River is very important.
00:26:23 It's very important for a whole lot of reasons.
00:26:27 It is the Jordan River that is the deciding,
00:26:32 the fault line between Jerusalem
00:26:37 and what is now called Jordan.
00:26:39 It is the Jordan River that Jesus is to be baptized in.
00:26:44 He is to be baptized in,
00:26:48 and when he comes up out of the water,
00:26:52 a voice speaks from heaven and says,
00:26:54 "This is my beloved son in whom I'm well pleased."
00:26:58 Why is it important that Jesus is baptized in the Jordan?
00:27:02 Yahshua, Yahshua has to be baptized in the Jordan
00:27:07 because he brings us into the promise,
00:27:10 just like Joshua had to go through the Jordan
00:27:14 to bring us into a land that flows with milk and honey.
00:27:17 The Jordan is the fault line,
00:27:21 and when I saw it, I was amazed
00:27:23 because everything on this side of the Jordan
00:27:26 is dry and parched and lifeless and sandy and desert,
00:27:31 and everything on that side of the Jordan
00:27:35 is plush and green and alive and vibrant and flamboyant
00:27:40 with all types of life,
00:27:43 a land that flows with milk and honey
00:27:46 and a wilderness that's dry and parched
00:27:49 is only separated by the Jordan.
00:27:53 I'm still in the first verse.
00:27:55 It's only separated by the Jordan,
00:27:58 and what was water you could fish in,
00:28:01 like the Sea of Galilee,
00:28:03 has now ended up so salty because it kept going down.
00:28:08 The reason that you're dealing with people that are salty
00:28:13 is because they keep going.
00:28:15 (audience cheering)
00:28:18 Down.
00:28:19 Oh, God.
00:28:21 Throw your hands up, say, "Stop me from going down."
00:28:25 - Stop me from going down.
00:28:27 - Now, you've asked God to break the gravitational pull
00:28:31 that is a part of the centrifugal force
00:28:34 of a revolving earth
00:28:36 because it is the movement of the earth
00:28:39 that creates gravity, that creates a downward motion,
00:28:42 and you're asking God to break a law,
00:28:45 but to stop me from going down.
00:28:48 Say it again, "Stop me from going down."
00:28:50 Yeah, I didn't come this far to go down.
00:28:53 I didn't go through all the tests
00:28:55 I've gone through to go down.
00:28:57 I didn't survive all of these years to go down.
00:29:00 I didn't endure all the pain I've been through to go down.
00:29:03 I didn't go through this circumcision to go down.
00:29:06 I didn't bleed like this to go down.
00:29:09 I didn't swell like this to go down.
00:29:11 I didn't scab up like this to go down.
00:29:13 Whatever you've got to do, stop me, Lord, from going down.
00:29:18 Hallelujah to God.
00:29:19 I feel something in this place
00:29:21 because you wouldn't be on a Wednesday night at Bible class
00:29:25 if you weren't serious about this thing
00:29:28 and you want the power to stop.
00:29:30 Somebody say, "Give me the power to stop."
00:29:33 (audience cheering)
00:29:34 The gradiation of the mountain is against me.
00:29:37 The centrifugal force of the earth is against me.
00:29:40 The gravitational pull of the planet is against me,
00:29:42 but you have the power to stop.
00:29:45 (audience cheering)

00:35:37 I'll get the three quick points. I want to talk about the mote, the manna, and the method.
00:35:41 The mote, the manna, and the method. The mote, the manna, and the method. I bring the mote
00:35:50 to light because you must understand, for Jericho, for the city of Jericho, the Jordan
00:35:59 River is a bit of a mote. You know what a mote is. A mote is when men would dig out
00:36:07 a waterway as an extra layer of defense, lest enemies would be able to cross over easily.
00:36:15 They had to get through the mote. In the biblical days, cities were built around geographical
00:36:23 terrain so that they would have strategic advantage in the times of war. That's where
00:36:30 the high places comes from. That's where the concepts come from about David climbing up
00:36:35 the waterways. The idea is to position the city so that you can be protected as much
00:36:44 as possible. To put your city on this side of the Jordan was a layer of defense because
00:36:55 if they were going to get through the Jordan, especially at the swelling of the Jordan,
00:37:00 they had to come through the waters, which was difficult. And what caused them to be
00:37:05 terrified is that God stopped it. It's one thing to stop a level flow of water, but when
00:37:17 the water is coming, galing down off the mountain sides, it's coming with an intense amount
00:37:23 of pressure and still God stopped it. Y'all can't hear what I'm talking about. Y'all can't
00:37:34 hear that. You're too busy worrying about how much is coming down off the mountain that
00:37:39 you can't understand that I don't care how much force is got behind it. If God gets ready
00:37:43 to stop it, he can still stop it. Glory to God. That's somebody's word from the Lord.
00:37:50 I don't care how much the impending danger is threatening to you. God still has the power.
00:38:00 He stopped it. He stopped it. This is different from the Red Sea. It's not the same as the
00:38:07 Red Sea because the Red Sea was a level seabed. And I'm not saying it's any less miracle,
00:38:14 but it is more amazing because the terrain did not lend itself to stopping what was pouring
00:38:23 down off of the mountains, but God stopped it. And on both sides of the Jordan, the kings
00:38:36 were afraid because they knew their hands were not big enough to break the flow. When
00:38:46 God gets ready to break the flow, no man's hands are big enough to stop the flow of what
00:38:55 God is going to break in your life. I can't hardly get away from that. Hallelujah to God.
00:39:01 By the same token, when God's got something for you, I don't care how much water they
00:39:05 got around it. I don't care how thick the mold is. I don't care how strong the obstacle
00:39:11 is. I don't care what age you are. I don't care what you feel like in your body. When
00:39:16 God says, "I have given you the land, I have given you the land," and the Bible said. Notice
00:39:29 somebody said God stopped it. Not only did he stop it, but he dried it up. He dried it
00:39:38 up so that they could go across on dry land. Notice the specificity of the text. It says
00:39:45 not only does God stop the water, but he dries up the mud. He stops the water, he dries up
00:39:50 the mud. He stops the water, he dries up the mud. He stops the water, he dries up the mud.
00:39:55 God said, "When you walk through this, you're not going to have no sign. You're not going
00:39:59 to look like you've been through what you've been through. You're not going to have no
00:40:03 residue on your life. I didn't clean you up or reproach for you to have a residue on your
00:40:08 life. People are not going to believe your testimony, so you might as well shut up about
00:40:12 it because they're not going to believe it because I don't intend for no mud to be left
00:40:17 on your sandals. When you come across, you're going to walk across on dry ground and nobody
00:40:21 will have it all."
00:40:34 So the Jordan, the Jordan has sectioned off the wilderness from the promised land, but
00:40:41 God said, "I'm going to give you access." Write that down. God said, "I'm going to give
00:40:45 you divine access. I'm going to give you access to something that you didn't have access to
00:40:53 before. I'm going to give you such access that not only am I going to stop the flow,
00:40:59 I'm going to dry the ground. I'm going to stop the flow, I'm going to dry the ground.
00:41:02 I'm going to stop the flow, I'm going to dry the ground. I'm going to stop the flow, I'm
00:41:06 going to dry the ground." And all of this is done so that you can have unbridled access
00:41:12 to what other people have enjoyed for years and you've never been able to get. And you
00:41:17 always thought your destiny was to live in where you were born in because you were born
00:41:23 in the desert, you thought you'd die in the desert, but the devil is a lie. God said,
00:41:27 "It is possible to be born in a desert and die in the promised land." God said, "I'm
00:41:34 getting ready to give you access." Who am I talking to? I don't know who I'm talking
00:41:38 to. I'm talking to somebody. I'm talking to somebody. I'm talking to somebody. Who am
00:41:43 I talking to? I'm talking to somebody. Is it somebody online? Is it somebody in Central
00:41:48 Time Zone? Is it somebody in Easter Time? Is it somebody in Pacific? Whatever time you're
00:41:53 in, if I'm talking to you, holler at your boy, make some noise, blow a whistle, make
00:41:58 a sound, put up an emoji, let me know. God! Let me go deeper. Now they have been eating,
00:42:21 they have passed the moat, they have been, they have terrified the enemy, and God has
00:42:30 changed their diet. What you ate in the wilderness, you will not need in the promised land.
00:42:50 I fed you for where you were. There is an association between the manner you ate and
00:42:59 your clothes not wearing out and your shoes not wearing out. I sustained you in the wilderness,
00:43:08 but now I'm getting ready to deliver you out of the wilderness so you won't have to eat
00:43:14 what you used to have to eat because now I'm going to give you such an abundance that you're
00:43:20 not going to have to look up, you're going to have to look out to receive what I'm about
00:43:24 to give next in your life. You've been looking up, everything you got, if God didn't send
00:43:29 it, you didn't get it. But God said, "I'm going to bring you into a place of abundance,"
00:43:33 which was where I created you in the first place, in the Garden of Eden, where everything
00:43:38 you needed was growing all around you. And God said, "I'm going to stop you from looking
00:43:41 up. You're not going to have to pray for your car payment. You're not going to have to pray
00:43:45 for your house payment. You're not going to have to pray for you can pay your babysitter."
00:43:50 God said, "I'm going to put you in a place where everything you need is within arm's
00:43:54 reach. It's all around you. It's everywhere. Who am I talking to? Who am I talking to?
00:43:59 I'm talking to somebody. I feel like I'm prophesying to somebody. I feel like I'm prophesying to
00:44:04 somebody." And God said, "Once you taste of the food of what's yours, the manna will cease."
00:44:26 The ceasing of the manna says there's no going back to who you were. Let me tell y'all, because
00:44:43 they didn't hear it. The ceasing of the manna is God's way of letting you know that the
00:44:49 enemies you see today, you will see them no more. There is no going back to who you used
00:44:56 to be. Let me try y'all. God says, "I'm going to give you such a stopping place in your
00:45:04 life that all the things that sustain you while you were waiting on a stop, you're not
00:45:09 going to need them anymore because I'm going to completely mesmerize you and turn everything
00:45:14 completely around in your life. Your diet, your appetite, your disposition, your personality,
00:45:21 the way you walk, the way you dress, the way you think, what you eat, what time you get
00:45:26 up, what time you go to bed, everything is getting ready to shift. Everything is about
00:45:31 to change in your life." God said, "I'm bringing you to a stopping place. I'm bringing you
00:45:36 into a shift. I don't know who I'm talking to, but whoever I'm talking to, you better
00:45:41 get this word. This word tonight is not for your entertainment. It is for your deliverance.
00:45:48 It is for your breakthrough." God said, "I am going to give you the power to stop." Slap
00:45:55 somebody and say, "I got the power to stop." "You can't threaten me anymore. I got the
00:46:00 power to stop." "You can't abuse me anymore. I got the power to stop." "You can't control
00:46:05 me anymore. I got the power to stop." "Sin, you can't have power over me. I got the power
00:46:11 to stop." "Profanity, you can't control me. I got the power to stop." "Needing you to
00:46:16 come back in my life. I got the power to stop." "So you got no more negotiating power in my
00:46:22 life because I have the power to stop." Somebody, "Hello, I got the power to stop." "Tell them
00:46:29 drugs. I got the power to stop." "Tell cocaine. I got the power to stop." "Tell amphetamines.
00:46:35 I got the power to stop." "Tell white beating. I got the power to stop." "My daddy did it.
00:46:41 My granddaddy did it, but I got the power to stop." "I can't have this much Holy Ghost
00:46:46 and not have the power to stop." I feel a mighty Russian wind about to hit this place
00:46:51 right now because somebody in this room just recognized you've been waiting on the power
00:46:56 and you got the power right now. You got the power to stop. Hallelujah to God. Type it
00:47:01 on the line. Type it by faith. I don't care if you feel it in your body or not. Tell them
00:47:05 I got the power to stop. I'm not going to keep calling you because I got the power to
00:47:09 stop. I'm not going to keep chasing you because I got the power to stop. I'm not going to
00:47:13 keep begging you to come back because I got the power to stop. You don't need me. I don't
00:47:18 need you. I can go on by myself. I got the power to stop. You can't use the same trick
00:47:23 you used to use on me because now I got the power. Slap three people and say I got the
00:47:36 power to stop. Yeah, yeah, I got the power to stop. Demons tremble when you talk like
00:47:41 that. Hell gets nervous when you talk like that. Hexes are broken when you talk like
00:47:46 that. Roots don't work when you talk like that. Burning sage is not needed when you
00:47:52 talk like that. I got the power to stop. I got the power to stop. No man takes my life.
00:47:58 I lay it down. If I lay it down, I'll pick it back up again because I got power coming
00:48:04 back in my life. I got the power to stop. I got the power to walk right. I got the power
00:48:09 to talk right. I got the power to think right. I got the power to move. I got the power to
00:48:15 build. I got the power to climb. I got the power to go forward. I got the power to prosper.
00:48:22 I got the power to endure. I got the power to survive. You left me thought I was going
00:48:28 crazy. You're wrong. I got the power to survive. Glory to God. God will feed me. God will bless

00:49:40 you there's some stuff that's got to cease. There's some things that's got to cease in
00:49:45 your life. You cried your last tear yesterday. God is—oh I got to quit because I'm about
00:49:50 to start something. If I start something in this place I'm going to mess up the whole
00:49:55 Bible class because I feel the anointing of the Holy Ghost about to break forth in this
00:50:00 room. I got the power to stop. Give me my power back. Give me my testimony back. Give
00:50:06 me my righteousness back. Give me my voice back. Give me my power back. Give me my authority
00:50:12 back. Give me my prayer language. Give me my anointing. Give me my ultras. Give me my
00:50:19 glory. Give me my story. Give me my children. That's for me and my house.

00:50:46 What drove me to the text is the continuity between the moat and the manna.
00:50:54 The moat and the manna both stopped.
00:51:00 The moat and the manna stopped. Final verse, Joshua runs up on a man and he says,
00:51:14 "Are you on my side or the enemy's side?" Now this is the profundity of this moment
00:51:22 because what is on trial is Joshua's method.
00:51:28 All my life I had to fight. I had to fight my brothers. I had to fight all my life.
00:51:42 His old job was built around warfare. So he runs up on the guy wanting to know,
00:51:50 "You want to fight? Whose side are you on?" Because he's still thinking like who he was.
00:51:56 And God said, "If you keep thinking like who you were, you're not going to be prepared for who you
00:52:04 are. This battle is not going to require your talent. Your method has got to change. I don't
00:52:12 need your swords. I don't need your shield. In fact, I'm going to send the captain of the host
00:52:17 of the angels to come down to work this out in your life. And all you got to do is walk around
00:52:24 the wall and the wall is going to come tumbling down." And God said, "He's going to give you a
00:52:29 victory that does not require your old methods. So if you were conniving, you don't have to be
00:52:35 conniving. If you were nervous, you don't have to be nervous. If you had to fight, you don't have
00:52:40 to fight. God's about to change your method. He's going to give you the victory without sweat.
00:52:46 He's going to give you the victory without labor." See, I need a handheld because when I get something
00:52:55 in my hand like this, I keep messing up. Hallelujah to God. Your whole method has to change.
00:53:02 Joshua, Joshua, you are not who you were. You are not a general in the army up under Moses. Moses is
00:53:11 dead. Your methods have got to change. You can't think like you're under Moses. Moses is dead.
00:53:19 You got to think like the leader you are. And if you're running around here with swords and stuff,
00:53:28 you don't understand the role I put you in. You're not going to win this battle with your hand.
00:53:38 You're going to win this battle with your head. As a man thinketh in his head,
00:53:43 so is he. Get your head together. The promotion of the Lord is disruptive
00:53:55 because it disrupts how you see yourself.
00:54:08 And if you don't change your methods, look, if you're a dirty person and I move you in a nice
00:54:16 house, it won't be long before the nice house gets dirty because you got a new house, but you got an
00:54:24 old method. If you're a mouthy person, everybody comes in your life, you're going to run them off
00:54:31 with your nasty mouth. Even the nice people are going to get tired of your mouth because you're
00:54:37 using your old method. In fact, you're talking to the man you got as if he was the man you had
00:54:44 until he becomes what you call him because the power of life and death is in your tongue.
00:54:50 And until you learn how to treat what you prayed for, you're going to lose what God sends you
00:54:56 because you got to develop a method that fits where you are, not where you were. So you got
00:55:02 to have enough faith to drop your sword and drop your hand and fall down on your face and humble
00:55:08 yourself before God because God said that the most shot, God said, if you humble yourself before him,
00:55:15 he'll show you how to get the victory. You're not going to get the victory using your old weapons
00:55:21 and your old tools. God said, I'm going to show you how to get the victory, but you're going to
00:55:25 have to lay on your face before God to get the victory. Somebody throw your hands up and say
00:55:30 victory. God said, I'm going to break the curse off of your life. I'm going to break the struggle
00:55:36 off of your life. I'm going to break the back of debt off of your life. I'm going to break
00:55:40 depression off of your life. I'm going to break suicide off of your life. I'm going to break
00:55:45 drug addictions off of your life. I'm going to break whore mongering off your life. I'm going
00:55:50 to break it off of your life. I'm going to give you the power to stop, but you can't get it standing
00:55:56 on your feet. You're going to have to lay on your face before God. And the Bible said, take off your
00:56:03 shoes for the ground. Y'all got to stop because I got some rest and I'm ready to start something
00:56:12 up in this place. The ground you stand on, the ground you're standing on right now, it's not
00:56:19 like the ground you was on before. The ground you stand on is holy ground. And when you get
00:56:26 on holy ground, you got to lay out on your face.

00:56:48 said, the only thing I want is to hear what God is saying to me. And if I have to stop being
00:56:58 who I was, if I have to stop being who I was,
00:57:06 then I'm going to take my shoes off and be barefoot. I'd rather be barefoot and anointed
00:57:17 than be covered and be blind. This anointing, I want it bad enough to come out of my shoes.

00:59:20 Because once you get locked into a method, I can move you into a new place,
00:59:29 but you'll still use an old method and your method will cancel out the newness

00:59:49 internet. God is talking directly to you and you got to come out some stuff. You got to come out
00:59:56 some stuff and you know it for what God is about to do in your life. The Lord told me to tell you
