00:00 you stop boxing when I say great take step back keep your hands up protect
00:04 self at the times good luck to you both good luck.
00:06 Carl Feil stands about six foot one and he towers over Frank Madsen born in
00:12 New in Greenland as you hear moved over to Denmark as a nine-year-old and now
00:18 based in Aarhus. Carl Feil undefeated in eight fights he's already seen his twin
00:25 brother Ben win on this bill in just 51 seconds well it'd be fairly incredible
00:31 if Carl could do likewise because Frank Madsen has never been stopped. Tall
00:37 ranging as you say John six foot one and a super welter middleweight division
00:43 then that is a huge advantage that he takes into this contest and into many of
00:49 his contests Carl Feil uses his height to reach very well very well scored
00:53 there's no prizes for guessing the tactics for both boxers here. Carl Feil's boxing well at range
00:58 carries a decent dig as well in his left hand and that's where Frank Madsen's got a box
01:03 he's got to try and get up close and again maybe work the body to fail
01:07 certainly he's got to concentrate on boxing short to mid-range that's what
01:14 he's got to do. Massive reach advantage fail and somehow Madsen has to negate that and to get
01:22 into range. Started as a Mautai fighter did Madsen and won European honors in
01:28 that discipline away from boxing he works in a psychiatric hospital been a
01:33 paid fighter now for seven years. Carl Feil very good amateur record 73 of 90
01:42 victories as an amateur in 90 fights member of the GB squad so of course
01:48 Richie alongside me commentating tonight would know him very well. He's
01:55 skillful and he's shown already a couple of his left uppercuts are decent punches
01:59 he's actually caught Madsen there with a short little left uppercut that made
02:03 Madsen go back a little bit and that's caught him so he works well at range
02:07 does Carl Feil but on the inside that little left uppercut that he's got is a
02:11 danger of shot it really is. You see autism on his waistband Carl Feil. Well that's a young
02:19 Sean a 12 year old cousin who is suffering from autism and he wears that
02:25 belt just to increase awareness of the condition as did his twin brother
02:30 earlier on.
02:35 Super shot that hurt Madsen. Cracking punch there from Feil and again Madsen got the right idea with quick
02:42 feet coming forward but gets caught on the inside. Madsen a tough lad though
02:50 never been stopped this is an eight rounder here. First time that Feil's been in an
02:56 eight rounder. He goes the distance if he's taking the distance he reckons that's good
03:01 experience but if he gets the stoppage and Madsen seemingly just felt the weight of that left hook to the body if he gets the stoppage that would be something of a statement.
03:12 Yeah good shot on the inside there for Madsen little right uppercut that was a cracking shot but Feil's working very well on the inside that left uppercut again hurt Madsen.
03:22 And that was an entertaining opening round.
03:29 Luke Portana here in the corner giving instructions to Carl Feil and Richie interestingly seeing what we saw that even at this early stage there were points where Madsen was starting to feel it.
03:43 Certainly so downstairs a couple of good body shots from Carl Feil little left uppercut there on the inside that wasn't a bad shot either for Madsen in his reply but it was a good round from Carl Feil.
03:55 Another solid body shot from Feil he does like to whip those punches in downstairs.
04:08 Yeah I think Madsen's a tough tough lad he's taking the head shots very well but and another good body shot there from Feil and he's starting to feel them now you see the way there his body language just goes back a little bit.
04:22 Does Madsen feel the effects of that body shot?
04:26 I sometimes think that boxing kind of is sanitized by television and you don't quite appreciate the power of what's going in but that left hook from Feil when he planted his feet and delivered that it really went in with hurtful intent.
04:41 It's good response sir from Madsen nice right hand from him.
04:45 Not bad at all but this left uppercut on the inside from Feil has proven to be a very effective shot indeed there it was there to the head also so he's setting it up with the jab and then as Madsen comes forward falls into that trap then he's whipping that shot underneath.
05:01 Feil and his twin brother originally coached in Northampton by John Daly and what a good job he did.
05:09 Accuracy with that left uppercut again from Feil.
05:34 Oh lovely shot again, left uppercut and again it's been settled behind the jab so the jab peppering away what a belting shot that is.
05:42 That's a cracking shot there from Feil setting things up keeping his distance just looking for the opportunities in the openings and as Madsen comes forward that's when he's open to walking on to that good left hand either as a straight shot or the left uppercut.
05:57 Well that's what Feil was hoping would be the case he thought Madsen would be naturally come forward an aggressive and the sort of man who would have to walk in low and maybe he also tends to come in in straight lines and would be open to counters particularly the further the fight went.
06:15 Another solid body shot there from Feil.
06:18 A little uppercut inside from Madsen a reminder for Feil but again he bullies him back in the closing stage of the round.
06:42 Feil actually taking more risks getting caught with a couple of good shots but he's also landing some quality punches on the inside so it's exciting stuff.
06:52 Another entertaining round on a fight which is good to watch.
06:57 Welcome back to your call where Luke Poutanier has Martin Bowers alongside him in the Carl Feil corner.
07:07 Don't look for one big shot.
07:13 Well I think he's setting it up well behind his jab that was a super punch probably the best shot of the round that was a simple jab from Feil.
07:20 Another quality round but he's his work on him from the outside and then the whip in the shots underneath as well which is effect which are effective.
07:28 The Feil brothers always inspired by the memory of their dad and down he goes Madsen caught off balance.
07:40 A little short right hook it was wasn't it but he was around the side of the head that's what he's indicating there Madsen but nevertheless Feil finding the target there.
07:52 Again setting things up good work with the jab in and out with the feet and had their dad Mark who encouraged them to take up boxing had he seen that he'd have been mighty impressed.
08:03 Died when the boys were just 15 years old.
08:12 Oh good work again he staggers back with that right hand and I think the referee might stop it here.
08:18 Madsen's had enough he said that he doesn't want any more.
08:22 The towel's being waved in the corner and Madsen is out and Feil gets an eye catching win.
08:29 Yeah tremendous work there from Feil.
08:32 Good work with the jab and the straight left hand and he's just out boxed his opponent here Madsen a fairly tougher opponent but coming forward making a few mistakes falling into that trap of going forward coming over the front foot and Feil taking advantage scoring well adjusting his feet and bringing his opponent on to shot.
08:49 So good performance with his straight shots the jab the straight left but also obviously the left uppercut and there's his brother Ben.
08:57 He'll be really pleased and a great family affair tonight two good wins for the brothers but this was a good performance here tonight let's have a look at it here.
09:04 There's Feil coming forward sorry Madsen coming forward a little left uppercut on the inside Madsen at the start of the round started to have a go that's when he took that little right up to more or less the ear the side of the head.
09:16 But there's some good work there so there's the right hook that went to there for Feil straight left down that was a belting shot there Madsen back in the corner couldn't take any more and there I mean that's a little bit naughty from Feil a little bit too excited but nevertheless good work from him before that that straight left and again good performance overall.
09:35 Here Madsen unsurprisingly saying that he'd had enough the two brothers are very very close Carl and Ben almost finish each other's sentences and there there he is at ringside giving his words of praise to the brother.
09:53 Ben incidentally is the older of the two by the not very significant difference of one minute big brother big brother so alike absolutely two peas in a pod Carl a winner by stoppage just as Ben was and here's Dabsani.
10:14 Ladies and gentlemen at the time of one minute one second in the third round your referee Lee Every calls a halt to this contest therefore your winner by TKO the chosen one Carl Feil.
10:37 The chosen one makes it nine out of nine and is surely moving inexorably closer towards championship contention maybe one day the two of them will both be champions Carl and Ben but they both won here on the card tonight and they both move on undefeated.
10:58 John Ritchie, thank you.
