00:09 And I hope you guys have been having an amazing Halloween
00:12 season this year.
00:13 One of the first things I wanted to do a tutorial on
00:16 is an Ariana Grande hair and makeup tutorial,
00:19 because I've been loving her songs all over the radio.
00:23 I love her very iconic look.
00:25 She always has a really cute high ponytail, tons of hair,
00:29 and a really cute little winged eyeliner
00:31 with a very neutral face.
00:34 So I hope you guys enjoy watching this.
00:36 If you want to see how this look is done, then stay tuned.
00:39 I'm starting off with an eyeshadow primer.
00:41 This is going to help the eyeshadow be a lot truer
00:44 to color and not crease.
00:45 I'm starting off the eyes with a light bronze shade
00:48 all over the lid.
00:49 This is going to bring a lot of light into the eyes
00:52 and add a nice pop of shimmer.
00:54 Next, I'm taking a matte brown blending shade.
00:56 I'm just going to contour this into the crease area.
00:59 If you're not sure where that is,
01:01 just take your brush and push in by your eye.
01:03 And right where it goes in at the eye socket
01:05 is where you should use this contour color.
01:07 Now I'm taking a really light matte beige shade.
01:10 And I'm just going to highlight right underneath the eyebrow.
01:13 I'm also going to dab this just on the inner corners
01:16 of the eyes.
01:17 And that's going to help bring in a little bit of light
01:19 and dimension.
01:20 Since my eyes are naturally flat and Ariana's have
01:23 a little more shape, I'm going to fake that
01:25 by adding that lightness there.
01:27 Now I'm taking a brown pencil.
01:28 And I'm just going to add this to the outer corners here
01:31 and bring that up onto the waterline.
01:34 For Ariana's iconic winged liner,
01:37 I'm using a very, very black liquid liner.
01:39 And the trick here is to start off with a thin line
01:42 and gradually increase the thickness as you go out.
01:46 The outer corners, we're going to add just a little bit
01:48 of a wing.
01:50 Next, I'm going to curl my lashes and add mascara.
01:54 Now I'm adding a fluffy pair of lashes
01:55 to really make the eyes pop.
01:57 Now I'm going to fill in my brows.
01:59 So for this brow shape, I'm going
02:01 to make a thicker line in the inner half.
02:04 And then the outer half is just going
02:06 to taper a little bit skinnier.
02:08 Now I'm moving on to bronzer.
02:10 She doesn't wear a ton of blush, so I'm
02:11 going to focus mostly on this color.
02:13 I'm going to start by my ears and sweep it forward.
02:16 Most of the concentration is going to be back.
02:19 It's just going to blend out as you move down across the cheek.
02:23 I also have a wider jaw line than Ariana,
02:25 so I'm going to contour right underneath here to give myself
02:28 a slimmer looking face.
02:29 I'm taking a small eye shadow brush
02:34 and I'm using the same bronzer.
02:36 I'm going to contour right on the inside of my eyes
02:39 by my nose bridge.
02:40 I'm also going to emphasize the shape right
02:45 around the end of my nose.
02:47 And for the lips, I'm going to use just a slightly darker
02:53 My Lips But Better kind of shade.
02:54 For the shape of the lips, I'm going
02:59 to try to erase my Cupid's bow here.
03:01 I'm making it just a little bit fuller on the outer edges.
03:10 Now I'm just going to blot my lips to remove any excess shine.
03:21 All right, now we're going to move on to hair.
03:23 So I feel like the most iconic Ariana hair
03:27 look is the side swept bangs with the high pony.
03:31 So we're going to start with a little bit of bang action.
03:34 I'm taking a couple of inches from the front of my face
03:37 and I'm just going to pull that forward.
03:40 And then I'm going to take about half of my hair
03:43 in a very, very high ponytail.
03:46 So I'm starting here by my ears, going back a little bit,
03:49 and then going up toward my crown.
03:52 So again, that doesn't go backwards.
03:54 It's going up.
03:55 I'm going to brush this up into a high ponytail.
04:00 Now I'm taking a little bit of hair
04:06 from the underside of the ponytail
04:08 and we're going to wrap the ponytail
04:10 so that it covers that band.
04:12 I'm going to wrap it twice and then pin it back.
04:16 [MUSIC PLAYING]
04:19 For the front bangs, I'm going to pull this behind my ear
04:24 and then pin that back as well.
04:25 [MUSIC PLAYING]
04:29 I'm going to be taking my Pantene shaping hairspray
04:31 and I am just going to lock all of this business down.
04:34 [MUSIC PLAYING]
04:37 Now to prep my hair for some curling action,
04:39 I'm going to be using my heat protectant.
04:41 This is the Pantene heat protection spray.
04:44 [MUSIC PLAYING]
04:47 Make sure to really get that at the ends
04:50 where I'm going to be focusing the main part of the curling.
04:53 I'm just taking about one to two inch sections of my hair
04:56 and using a curling wand that's maybe like one,
04:59 one and a quarter inches, I'm just
05:01 going to wrap the lower part of the hair.
05:06 So it should look just like that.
05:07 We're only getting just the ends.
05:09 I'm just wrapping it about once or twice.
05:11 [MUSIC PLAYING]
05:17 To set the curls, I'm going to do one final spray of hairspray
05:21 and really separate the curls so they
05:23 have a little bit of extra volume,
05:25 especially at the bottom.
05:28 For the final touch, I'm adding some little kitty ears.
05:33 These are black lace ones and I thought
05:35 they were perfect for Ariana because she loves
05:37 wearing little animal ears.
05:39 And you could top off the look with a microphone
05:42 or a cute little headset and act like you're
05:44 singing to your own little karaoke all night.
