00:00 Hey guys, it's Jen and it's time for another favorites video.
00:03 It is the beginning of August, which means July is gone.
00:07 It's past, it's over.
00:08 And I have discovered a couple of brand new favorites
00:11 that I am completely obsessed with.
00:13 So let's go ahead and get started.
00:15 The first thing I wanted to talk about
00:17 is something I mentioned in my recent Nordstrom haul video.
00:20 This is blank so you can't really tell what it is.
00:22 This is the Lorac Skinny Palette.
00:25 And when I saw this online, I freaked out
00:28 because this is a beautiful neutral palette, as you can see.
00:32 Quite a lot of lovely shades in it.
00:34 And it was only $15.
00:37 $15.
00:38 Apparently, you guys told me in the comments
00:40 that it sold out super fast after that.
00:43 I can definitely see why.
00:44 I'm crossing my fingers that Nordstrom
00:47 is going to bring this back, especially after the sale is over.
00:50 But this palette has just been a dream to use.
00:53 I've been using it every single day since I got it.
00:56 And what I love about it is it's a lot like the Naked Basics
01:00 palette in terms of size.
01:02 But there are more colors, and they
01:04 run a lot more reddish brown.
01:06 It's just really flattering and warm.
01:08 It gives a nice, warm, natural contour to my eyes.
01:11 And it just looks beautiful.
01:14 Honestly, it's crazy to say this.
01:17 It's honestly one of my favorite neutral palettes
01:19 I've ever used.
01:20 And I cannot believe I only paid $15 for it.

01:27 if you didn't harass Nordstrom and tell them to bring more in.
01:30 Next, I wanted to talk about a blush that
01:33 is a returning favorite over and over and over.
01:35 This is the Benefit Coralista blush.
01:38 And just like all of their other boxed blushes,
01:40 this smells wonderful.
01:42 It just has a nice, light, not too fruity or heavy or yucky
01:48 smelling.
01:48 It just smells really nice when you're applying it.
01:50 And it's just that golden peachy pink color
01:52 that literally looks good on everyone.
01:55 So if you have not tried this on, I highly recommend it.
01:58 It's just a staple in everyone's collection.
02:00 Moving on to eye products, I've been really loving
02:04 the Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Liners this month.
02:07 I took a trip to Vegas for the first time ever
02:09 with a couple of my girlfriends back from Kansas.
02:12 So when we went out, we wanted to wear some really sparkly
02:15 makeup on our eyes.
02:16 So I brought along Glam Rock and Distortion,
02:19 especially this clear one when you put it
02:21 on top of a dark blue eyeliner.
02:23 It just pops like crazy.
02:25 My friend Hannah has blue eyes, and it
02:27 looked so beautiful on her.
02:29 I cannot, I cannot even.
02:31 I cannot even.
02:32 Again, if you haven't tried these,
02:34 they're super, super easy to use.
02:35 I just put on a wash of eyeliner or eyeshadow on the lid first
02:39 and just use the eyeliner all over the top of the lid.
02:43 And that's it.
02:43 Every time you blink, everything twinkles.
02:45 It's just beautiful.
02:46 So I don't know if you can tell from the computer screen,
02:48 but I recently got lash extensions done.
02:51 That's right.
02:52 These are not false lashes.
02:53 I'm not using mascara on my upper lashes.
02:56 They're just the extensions.

03:01 But a couple of products that I've
03:02 been using because I got the extensions in are this eyeliner.
03:06 I was looking for one that didn't have waterproofness,
03:11 you know, one that can just wash away easily so I don't have
03:13 to scrub at my lashes at night.
03:15 I've been trying out this one.
03:17 It's called Zuzu Luxe Liquid Eyeliner in Raven.
03:20 You can get it at Whole Foods.
03:22 It's kind of more of like a natural-ish product.
03:24 I really like it because it's very easy to use.
03:27 It doesn't have a typical brush.
03:29 It's kind of a little bit harder.
03:31 So I feel like you can get a really precise line.
03:33 It's pretty user-friendly, especially if you're a beginner
03:36 or you have kind of shaky hands.
03:38 And the color also comes out extremely matte black,
03:41 which I am a huge fan of.
03:42 I don't like things that are too glossy or reflective
03:45 because I think it's a little bit distracting.
03:47 This does give a really beautiful line,
03:49 and I've been really happy with it.
03:51 Again, I was specifically looking
03:52 for a non-waterproof formula so when it does hit water,
03:56 it doesn't stay.
03:58 So that's a little caveat if you're
04:00 somebody who likes a super long-wearing eyeliner.
04:02 But if your lids are mostly dry or they
04:04 don't have a smearing problem, definitely try this out,
04:06 especially if you have sensitive eyes.
04:08 Another product I have been loving again this month--
04:11 it's a re-love-- because I have the upper lashes,
04:14 I've only been using mascara on my lower lashes.
04:16 So I've been gravitating toward my Clinique Bottom Lash
04:20 Mascara, which I've told you guys before how much I love it
04:23 because it's so precise.
04:24 It makes my lower lashes super, super long.
04:26 But this is so great because I don't need any other mascara.
04:30 This just works perfectly.
04:32 It grips all of my lashes, makes them as long and precise
04:36 as possible, and it really doesn't get clumpy.
04:38 The brush is teeny, teeny, tiny.
04:41 So it's just really great and easy to use.
04:43 So I've been loving it.
04:44 I highly recommend this if you have tiny bottom lashes.
04:49 Moving on to my favorite nail polishes this month,
04:52 I wanted to start off with this CoverGirl XL Nail
04:54 Gel in the color Plumped Up Plum.
04:57 This is the cutest purple.
04:59 I got a lot of compliments when I was wearing this.
05:02 And it just is such a pretty, medium purple shade.
05:05 It's not so lavender that it just looks completely pastel.
05:09 But it's also not like a dark, vampy purple either.
05:13 It's just a nice, light, medium purple.
05:16 And it looks really pretty on a bunch of different skin tones.
05:18 I just feel really girly and pretty when I wear this.
05:21 And the formula is actually really fabulous.
05:24 So I'm really excited to try the other colors in this line.
05:27 I also wanted to mention a new kind of nail polish
05:31 that I haven't tried before.
05:32 I tried out this Ciate Shell Manicure.
05:36 This is actually like base coat type thing.
05:38 And then this has crushed shells in it.
05:41 So when you have it, it gives that OPI liquid sand 3D
05:45 kind of effect.
05:46 Except you have to kind of put it all together manually.
05:48 Because these are literally just loose shell pieces.
05:51 So you have to use a really, really thick, nice top coat
05:54 to really seal everything together.
05:56 But the combo of these is just so pretty.
06:00 And it's very like beach, summer cool.

06:10 If you guys like doing 3D manicures
06:13 or something a little bit fun and different,
06:14 I definitely recommend trying this out.
06:16 They also have those like caviar manicures
06:18 with the micro beads.
06:20 But I think this one is a little more unique and fun.
06:22 Finally, I wanted to talk about a little technology bit
06:25 that I've been really enjoying this month.
06:27 This is the Izzy Slim Case.
06:29 And I've been using it for a lot of my Instagram photos
06:31 and stuff.
06:32 It actually has three different rotatable lenses
06:35 on the back.
06:36 It has a fish eye lens, a two times zoom telephoto lens.
06:41 And it also has a macro lens
06:44 if you wanna take things really, really up close
06:46 and have a lot of detail.
06:47 It's kind of nice that you don't have to carry
06:49 a big bulky digital camera around all the time.
06:52 You can just take your phone and like pimp it.
06:56 It is a little bit of a splurge product, I must admit.
06:59 But if you're really into photography,
07:01 it's a really cool and handy case to keep around.
