00:03 Hey, guys.
00:16 It's Jen.
00:17 And today I have another Halloween tutorial for you.
00:20 I know this looks like my everyday look.
00:23 Just kidding.
00:24 Obviously, I wanted to share with you guys
00:26 how to do a makeup tutorial for Harley Quinn.
00:29 This is just my own interpretation
00:31 inspired by traditional Harley Quinns, and also, of course,
00:35 Harley herself.
00:36 She's kind of this spunky, fantastic character,
00:39 and one of my favorite villains.
00:41 So I hope you guys enjoy this tutorial.
00:43 If you want to see how this look is done, then stay tuned.
00:46 To start off, I'm going to make a really light foundation
00:48 color by mixing a foundation with white cream makeup.
00:52 Now I'm just taking my Hourglass Ethereal Light Powder.
00:57 It's super light.
00:58 So I'm going to use that to set my foundation.
01:02 Next, I'm taking this hot pink blush,
01:04 and I'm going to add some blush on my cheeks.
01:06 I'm actually going to start applying this near the eyes
01:10 and just kind of blend it out from there.
01:13 Next, I'm taking this burgundy eyeliner,
01:15 and I'm going to outline a shape on my eye
01:18 that I'm going to have as the base for the eyeshadow
01:20 going down.
01:20 So I'm starting at the outer corner.
01:22 I'm drawing upward.
01:23 I'm just going to fill in this kind of square-ish shape
01:27 on my eye.
01:28 And then on the bottom half of the eye,
01:29 draw a line just down just slightly,
01:32 and bring it up to where the shape is at the top.
01:37 For this side, we're going to bring the point a little bit
01:40 further down.
01:43 Now I'm taking a black pencil eyeliner,
01:45 and I'm just going to smudge this
01:46 around the exterior of both of my eyes.
01:50 Now I'm taking my Sugarpill Burning Heart Palette.
01:53 I'm going to begin by patting this over the burgundy eyeliner
01:57 just to really deepen that red.
02:00 Now at the outer corners here, I'm
02:02 going to start blending this upward.
02:04 So just soften this top edge, and then
02:08 start bringing this in right in the eye socket area.
02:12 Now I'm going in with a plain black eyeshadow.
02:15 I'm going to load it up on a pencil brush.
02:17 I'm going to start winging this upward a little bit,
02:20 and then cutting it into that crease.
02:24 I'm just making a little wing at the side
02:26 and blending the edges out.
02:30 I'm also going back in with the red,
02:31 and I'm going to soften this edge
02:34 so that it just looks like it's blending out into the skin.
02:36 For the outer corner area, I'm taking this white eyeshadow,
02:43 and I'm going to pat this right underneath that line.
02:47 Just blend it downward.
02:49 That's really going to make that outer corner area look
02:51 really crisp and really pop.
02:53 I'm also taking the same white eyeshadow,
02:55 and I'm going to use this as a highlight under my brow bone.
02:58 I'm also going to use it to define my inner eye
03:03 corners as well.
03:04 Now I'm going back in with the black shadow,
03:09 and I'm going to actually use this as a brow powder
03:11 to fill in my brows.
03:12 I'm going to go near the bottom of my natural brow line,
03:16 draw a straight line to the top of the arch,
03:21 and then I'm going to curve it down with the curve of my brow.
03:24 I'm going to thicken the front by adding about half the height.
03:28 And then at the front, I'm going to add
03:35 a line that goes straight down.
03:38 I'm going to swoop this down, and that's
03:40 going to give it kind of like a raised eyebrow kind of look.
03:43 Instead of making them exactly the same,
03:51 I'm actually going to leave this one as a normal brow
03:54 to give a one brow raised kind of look,
03:57 and it also emphasizes the asymmetrical theme
03:59 that we've got going on.
04:00 Next, I'm taking a black gel eyeliner,
04:03 and we're going to start drawing the iconic harlequin
04:07 kind of lines on the face.
04:08 So I'm actually going to start with a traditional winged eye.
04:11 This is going to be pretty thick and dramatic.
04:14 We're going to wing it up quite a bit.
04:15 Draw a line at the outer corner.
04:20 Draw a line at the outer corner going
04:22 toward the outer edge of where the brow is.
04:26 We're just pulling a very thin line upward.
04:34 All right, so now I'm going to take my gel liner,
04:37 go to the center of where that line is,
04:39 kind of make a line going straight down.
04:42 On this side, it's not going to come down very much.
04:46 This is going to wing out on each side.
04:48 So about halfway up, I'm going to pull it to one side,
04:51 pull it to the other side, and just fill that in.
04:56 It works best if you bring your brush toward the edge
05:00 and then pull it in toward the middle.
05:01 Now below that, I'm going to do one more long line
05:06 and then go across.
05:08 We're going to create a little diamond here.
05:10 Now for the top of the eye, I'm going
05:15 to take this line that went down,
05:16 make it exactly the same, and going straight up.
05:20 Try to find the center of where that looks
05:25 like it's going straight up.
05:26 And when you find it up here, draw a little end point
05:29 and then connect those lines.
05:33 I'm going to pull this up at around this brow point.
05:45 For the opposite eye, I'm going to do the exact same line
05:47 up top, but the lower one is going to pull down
05:49 a little bit further.
05:50 Now I'm going to add a small circle at all of the corners.
05:58 So I'm just taking a pointed eyeliner brush,
06:03 just making a little dot.
06:05 And then this one, I'm going to add the same amount of space
06:08 between here and here.
06:11 I'm adding a dot there as well.
06:12 I have a few little heart-shaped crystals that are red.
06:14 If you have circle ones, those work just as well.
06:17 And I'm going to add that to each of the four little dots.
06:20 Now I have these super spiky lashes.
06:25 I'm just going to cut off a couple of the spiky ones
06:28 at the ends, and I'm going to add that to my lower lash line.
06:30 So in preparation of applying these to my lower lash line,
06:34 I'm actually taking the lash, and I'm
06:35 going to kind of flex it the opposite way.
06:38 And that's going to make it a little bit more
06:40 comfortable when you're wearing it and less likely to pop off.
06:43 After softening the band, I'm just
06:45 going to cut each lash in half.
06:47 Now I'm taking the inner half of the lash band,
06:50 and I'm going to place it underneath my actual lashes
06:53 on my lower lash line.
06:54 For the upper lashes, I have these super cool
06:57 old school lashes from NYX.
06:59 I've had them for years, and I just
07:01 saved them for the perfect occasion.
07:03 They are black, and they have red feathers
07:05 on the corners, which I think will be so perfect for this
07:08 look.
07:08 Finally, for the lips, I'm going to start off
07:10 by taking a really dark lip pencil,
07:13 and I'm going to draw the outline of the lips.
07:18 I'm creating a really sharp peak right here,
07:21 just to make the lips look a little bit more aggressive.
07:23 I'm also dragging the corners out just barely.
07:33 I don't want it to look really crazy, but just slightly.
07:37 Now I'm going in with one of the brightest red lipsticks I own.
07:41 This is the Maybelline New Vivids in Neon Red.
07:45 Now I'm taking my black lipstick from Wet n Wild.
07:48 This is what they come out with during Halloween.
07:50 I'm just using a lip brush, and I'm
07:52 going to just add this to the outline
07:54 and blend it into the bright red.
07:55 Makeup's all complete, so I'm going to throw on my wig
08:02 and show you guys the final look.
08:05 So this is the final Harley Quinn look.
08:08 I hope you guys enjoyed watching.
