00:00 I am going to make a hospital room for a doll using a binder, scrapbook paper and cardstock,
00:23 pictures of graphs for magazines, fabric and felt, the plastic frame from a sponge roller,
00:30 duct tape, cardboard, jump rings and elastic cord.
00:34 If you don't have jump rings, you can try safety pins.
00:37 I start by measuring a piece of cardboard that is the same size as my doll.
00:41 Cut it out.
00:42 Cut another piece of cardboard that is the same size as the first.
00:46 Place one of the pieces of cardboard in the middle of another piece of cardboard.
00:50 I draw tabs out to the sides.
00:59 Cut it out.
01:01 Fold the tabs in on the lines drawn.
01:06 I cover the front of one of the pieces of cardboard with felt.
01:19 Cover it with another piece of fabric.
01:22 Trim off the excess so that the center cardboard is still exposed.
01:27 I cover the other pieces of cardboard in duct tape, making sure to leave the centers uncovered.
01:33 I bend the fabric covered cardboard for the head and legs.
01:38 I apply glue to the back side of the unraised portion and glue it to the other piece of
01:43 cardboard.
01:45 Glue the piece with the trapezoid tabs to the bottom.
01:48 I cut two small pieces of elastic cord and glue them underneath the bed.
01:54 Pull off the rectangle portion of a sponge roller and glue it to the fabric.
01:58 I made sure to glue it only to the part that bends so that the bed can still be raised
02:03 and lowered.
02:04 I apply glue to the inside of my binder to glue on scrapbook paper for wallpaper.
02:10 I glue pictures cut from magazines onto cardstock.
02:14 I glue them to the binder with a little bit of elastic string hanging down to make a monitor
02:18 I hem the top and bottom of a small piece of fabric.
02:21 Attach safety pins or jump rings to the top.
02:24 Put the rings onto the first loop of the binder.
02:27 And make faux cabinets by cutting pieces of cardboard, cover them in scrapbook paper,
02:33 and glue it to the binder.
02:34 Add a few pillows.
02:36 Repeat on the other side.
02:39 And you're done.
02:40 Happy Crafting!

04:02 Shhh!
04:04 Alright, Sophie.
04:07 Last question.
04:08 What is the atomic symbol for lithium?
04:11 Hmm, lithium...
04:13 Li.
04:14 That's right.
04:16 Looks like we're finished.
04:18 Do you know what that means?
04:20 It's time for Doll's Anatomy!
04:23 [cheering]
04:24 Oh, but wait.
04:26 Let's do the shout out first.
04:28 We want to give a shout out too.
04:30 LPS Life is Awesome 295.
04:33 What's up?
04:36 Shhh!
04:38 You won't believe the day I've had.
04:40 You know, this job is a lot of work.
04:43 Oh, I'm sorry.
04:44 Did I wake you?
04:45 I think you have the right idea.
04:47 And there's an empty bed right over there.
04:53 [snoring]
05:00 We just need five more minutes.
05:01 Wake up!
05:02 What?
05:03 Oh, Dr. McStuffy.
05:04 I mean, doctor.
05:05 Are we sleeping on the job when there is work to do?
05:11 Oh, no.
05:12 I was, um, I was just testing out the pillows.
05:15 And they appear to be working just fine.
05:17 Great.
05:18 Now you can go clean the bedpans in room 209.
05:21 You've got to be kidding.
05:22 [laughing]
05:23 Go clean the bedpans.
05:24 Now that is rich.
05:25 She had to go clean the bedpans because she was sleeping on the job.
05:38 [laughing]
05:45 Some of the fun things about this project is that the bed is kind of adjustable.
05:50 Since we only glued down this portion here, you can move the top of the bed to prop it
05:54 up and even the bottom half.
05:55 Now you can just stick a pillow behind it if you want it to stay up.
06:00 And there you go.
06:01 You've got your little adjustable bed thing going on.
06:03 And when you're all done playing, you can just fold the bed like so, close the binder,
06:12 slide the two beds inside, and put it on your bookshelf.
06:19 And if you find that your bed needs a little extra support, you can just place something
06:23 underneath it like a small box to help stabilize it.
