00:02 - Hey guys, welcome back to the channel.
00:09 My name is Cupquake and I am here with a friend.

00:27 But today, she's gonna help me.
00:29 We're gonna do some baking.
00:30 - Baking and eating.
00:32 I'm here for mostly the eating part,
00:34 but I will help you out.
00:36 - We're gonna make a roll cake.
00:38 I'm super excited for this.
00:40 I've been wanting to make one.
00:41 This is my first time making one,
00:43 your first time making one?
00:44 - Yes, my very first time.
00:45 I never really heard of a roll cake.
00:47 - Oh my gosh, they are amazing.
00:50 So we're gonna make Minecraft Creeper Roll Cake.
00:53 - Ooh, Creeper.
00:54 - Yeah, so I hope you guys are excited for this.
00:57 I am super excited.
00:58 Let's go ahead and get started.
00:59 Okay, so the first thing we're gonna prepare
01:02 is the white chocolate ganache,
01:04 'cause we need to let this chill a little bit.
01:06 So we're gonna get one cup of heavy whipping cream,
01:08 and we're gonna bring it to a simmer in a bowl,
01:11 just like this one.
01:12 And I'm gonna grab one and a half cups of white chocolate.
01:16 And once this comes to a simmer,
01:18 we're going to pour it over, mix it in,
01:20 and make sure all of the white chocolate is melted.
01:23 So this is gonna be for the filling.
01:25 - Okay.
01:26 - So it's a white chocolate ganache.
01:27 - Okay.
01:28 - And we're going to whip it once it cools and chills,
01:31 so we're gonna get some peaks forming.
01:33 - Okay.
01:34 - And then we're gonna put this inside of the cake,
01:35 so it'll be like a little surprise.
01:37 Okay, it's good.
01:39 It's good consistency.
01:40 All the chocolate chips are melted,
01:41 so now we're just gonna grab some cling wrap,
01:43 and we're gonna put it on the top of the bowl.
01:47 - Cover it up.
01:50 - Yeah, we're gonna put it in the fridge,
01:52 and we're gonna let it chill for about an hour.
01:55 So now, after we put this in the fridge,
01:59 we're gonna work on the fun piping part.
02:02 - Okay.
02:03 - So we're gonna make the creeper faces,
02:04 we're gonna make the designs.
02:04 - Ooh.
02:05 - Yeah, so.
02:06 - Okay, the fun part.
02:07 - Yeah.
02:08 Okay, so we're gonna get one egg,
02:09 and we're going to separate the egg whites from the yolk,
02:13 and we're going to just put the egg whites in a bowl
02:16 to mix our frosting.
02:19 Okay, so once the egg whites start to get bubbly like this,
02:22 now we can go ahead and add our 30 grams
02:26 of white granulated sugar,
02:28 and then we're gonna add 40 grams
02:30 of white all-purpose flour.
02:32 - Okay.
02:34 - Okay, and then once that's all mixed together,
02:36 we're gonna add one and a half tablespoon of butter.
02:40 - Okay.
02:41 - That is room temperature.
02:42 Okay, so now that it's all mixed,
02:45 thanks to our pro mixer here.
02:47 - I know, I didn't know I have all the skills within me.
02:50 - We're gonna dye this.
02:51 We're gonna dye it black.
02:52 We're just gonna grab some of this black icing color,
02:56 and a toothpick.
02:58 - Oh wow, this is a really good food coloring right here.
03:03 This is what we have.
03:04 - Okay, so we have a great black color right here,
03:09 and now what we're gonna do is we're going to add this
03:12 in a piping bag.
03:13 - Okay.
03:14 - And so I have a little template already printed out
03:16 of some creeper faces with some polka dots,
03:19 and you guys can find this template.
03:21 I'll put a link in the description
03:22 if you guys are gonna make this.
03:24 So what you're gonna do is you're just gonna put this
03:26 onto your baking sheet,
03:28 and you're gonna get a little bit of parchment paper,
03:30 and you're gonna place this over your template.
03:33 So then you can see through,
03:36 and then you can just go ahead and pipe your design
03:38 right onto this.
03:39 - Okay.
03:40 - So we are going to cut off,
03:42 I'm gonna let you go ahead and cut off the tip of this,
03:44 and I have these little guys, it has a little piping tip.
03:48 This is probably a number two,
03:49 and then we're gonna tie this on,
03:51 and it's gonna make it, piping so much easier for us.
03:54 - So how much would be like this?
03:55 - So maybe about more than that.
03:57 - Okay, all right, so.
03:58 - Teamwork.
03:59 - We're gonna go for the.
04:00 (upbeat music)
04:02 - Okay, it's your turn to pipe.
04:12 - Okay.
04:13 (laughing)
04:14 Thanks, man, pass it over.
04:15 - Okay, so once you're done piping,
04:17 we want this to chill and cool down
04:19 so that it doesn't melt away
04:21 when we put our cake batter over it.
04:23 So we're gonna put it in the fridge to chill
04:25 for about one hour.
04:26 All right, so once your white chocolate
04:28 and your whipping cream is nice and chilled,
04:31 we're gonna pour that into our little mixer right here,
04:34 and we're gonna beat it for about a minute and a half
04:36 till it forms some soft peaks.
04:38 - So this better turn out perfectly
04:40 because Tiffany carried this,
04:42 lugged this whole thing over here to my kitchen.
04:46 - Yeah, this is Anne's kitchen,
04:48 much nicer place than mine.
04:50 So I brought all my baking supplies.
04:52 - Yes, I wanna keep this.
04:54 - Okay, so once it's whipped,
04:57 I'm just gonna have you put this back inside the bowl.
05:00 And we're gonna reuse this bowl,
05:02 and we're actually gonna make the cake batter next.
05:04 - It's nice and fluffy.
05:05 - So it's nice and fluffy,
05:06 that's our filling for the inside,
05:08 and we're gonna line it with some strawberries as well.
05:11 Because creepers have TNT inside of them,
05:14 and the strawberries can represent the TNT.
05:17 Okay, so now we're gonna prepare ourself the batter.
05:21 So what we're gonna do is we're gonna get four eggs,
05:23 and we're gonna separate the yolks from the egg whites.
05:26 We're gonna use both the yolk and the egg whites.
05:29 - Let me get a thing for you to put in.
05:32 - Oh, oh, careful, careful, drop it in.
05:34 - Oh no, okay, okay. - Drop it in here.
05:36 - No!
05:36 Why?
05:37 (laughs)
05:39 I panicked.
05:42 (laughs)
05:46 Sorry for yelling.
05:47 Okay, so we're ready to bake the cake.
05:50 We have all of our ingredients ready to go.
05:53 So I'm gonna have you help.
05:54 - Okay.
05:55 - You are going to get the egg yolk.
05:57 - Egg yolk first. - The four egg yolk.
05:59 You're gonna pour them into a separate bowl.
06:01 While she is doing that,
06:03 I'm gonna grab the rest of my egg whites,
06:05 and we're gonna go ahead and add them
06:07 into our mixing bowl right here.
06:09 And we are going to beat them
06:14 until they start to form peaks.
06:17 And then we're gonna add our sugar and cream of tartar.
06:19 But we're gonna let this go ahead and look right, I guess.
06:24 So once it's nice and fluffy like this,
06:28 it should look something like this,
06:29 then we're gonna go ahead and slowly add in our sugar.
06:33 So we wanna slowly add the sugar in
06:35 so that it can break down the crystals
06:38 and incorporate fully into our--
06:41 - Dissolve into the--
06:42 - Yeah, dissolve into the mixture.
06:44 So once all of your sugar is incorporated,
06:47 we're then gonna grab some cream of tartar,
06:49 and we're gonna get a teaspoon,
06:51 and we're going to add it into the egg mixture as well.
06:54 So let's see if this is ready.
06:57 That looks ready to me.
06:58 - That looks really good. - Look how good that looks.
07:00 So this is what we're talking about, soft peaks?
07:02 - Just wanna lick it off.
07:03 - No.
07:04 - Looks so yummy.
07:05 - Okay, so now that we have this ready to go,
07:08 we are now ready to combine what you've been,
07:12 you've been doing this whole time.
07:14 - Yes, I know.
07:15 - All right, so we're just gonna go ahead and pour it in.
07:17 - Okay.
07:18 - And then we're just going to mix it in,
07:21 and be careful when you mix it in,
07:23 you don't want to, you just wanna keep the air.
07:26 So now actually we can go ahead,
07:28 I want you to help me add half,
07:29 we've melted our butter.
07:31 So add in half of the melted butter.
07:33 - Half of the melted butter.
07:34 - Okay, that's good,
07:37 and then we're gonna add half of our flour as well.
07:39 - Okay.
07:40 - Cool, so then we're just gonna go ahead
07:42 and mix this together until all of the flour is incorporated
07:45 and then we're gonna add the other,
07:47 the rest of the half of the butter
07:48 and the rest of the half of the flour,
07:50 and then we're gonna have our dough.
07:51 Okay, so now that everything is incorporated,
07:54 we are making creepers,
07:55 so we can't forget it needs to be green.
07:56 So we're just gonna go ahead and get some leaf green,
08:00 this is oil-based food coloring, so.
08:02 - Just a little scoop, right?
08:03 - Yeah, just grab, yeah.
08:04 And then I'm gonna go ahead and mix it in.
08:06 This looks good.
08:08 - Okay.
08:09 - So.
08:09 - Yeah, I agree.
08:10 - So we're gonna go ahead and grab our creeper bases.
08:13 - Okay.
08:14 - That we have in the fridge,
08:15 and we're gonna pour this on top of them.
08:17 Okay, so we have our creepers here,
08:19 they're nice and chilled.
08:20 Don't forget to remove the template paper,
08:23 'cause you don't wanna put this in your oven.
08:25 So, now what we're gonna do is just go ahead
08:28 and pour that whole thing, try to pour it evenly.
08:32 And we're gonna get the spoon and kind of like,
08:34 pat it down, so don't worry.
08:35 Go ahead.
08:40 So then just kind of wipe it,
08:42 so that it'll form a good edge.
08:44 We're ruining some of the creeper bases,
08:46 but it'll be okay, 'cause they're kind of towards the edge.
08:48 Okay, so we have this cake ready to go.
08:51 Now we just need to bake it for about seven minutes
08:53 in 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
08:55 We have already preheated our oven,
08:57 so we're gonna bake this, and we will be right back.
09:01 So while the cake is in the oven,
09:02 we're going to chop some strawberries.
09:06 And we're gonna add these on the inside.
09:07 So let's just go ahead, we've washed these already,
09:09 and we're just gonna chop some up.
09:11 - Just gonna give it that red, right?
09:12 - Yeah, the TNT.
09:14 Okay, so while she's cutting the strawberries,
09:17 I'm gonna prep our surface that our cake is gonna go on.
09:19 So I just have a like, surface that the cake will fit on,
09:24 and we're gonna put a piece of parchment paper down on it.
09:28 And we're going to sprinkle some confectioner sugar
09:32 on top of it, so that our cake doesn't stick.
09:35 And then we're going to drop the cake on top of this.
09:38 Okay, so our cake is fresh out of the oven.
09:40 - It's beautiful.
09:41 - What we're gonna do is we are going to,
09:44 we're gonna flip it over onto the surface
09:46 that I went ahead and prepped.
09:48 Let's go ahead and peel this slowly.
09:51 Now we're gonna go ahead, put this back,
09:54 and we're just going to flip it back over.
09:57 Now that we have our cake ready to go,
09:59 now we can get our chocolate ganache,
10:02 our whipped chocolate ganache.
10:03 And you're just gonna spread that all over here.
10:06 - Okay.
10:07 - And then while she's spreading it,
10:08 I'm gonna go ahead and add the TNT, which is strawberries.
10:12 And it's gonna give it a nice color.
10:14 It's a nice contrasting color, so it'll look great.
10:17 Okay, so now that we have all the filling ready to go,
10:20 all that's left to do is roll it.
10:21 So when you're rolling it,
10:22 make sure that you're rolling it away from you,
10:25 'cause you may have some cream overfill.
10:28 And make sure that you're rolling it,
10:30 start from the side that doesn't have the designs,
10:33 because it's gonna roll up,
10:34 you don't wanna roll up your designs on the inside.
10:36 - Yeah, that would really suck.
10:37 - It'd be really sad.
10:38 Okay, so we are done!
10:42 I am so, this is amazing.
10:45 - High five.
10:46 - High five!
10:47 - Yay, we did good!
10:47 - We did so good.
10:48 - Very well.
10:49 - It did take a little time and patience,
10:51 but I think it's totally worth it.
