00:05 - Hey everyone, it's Cupquake.
00:06 Welcome to another episode of Quake and Bake.
00:08 So, Minecon is one month away
00:11 and I really wanted to make something Minecraft related,
00:13 so I decided to go ahead
00:15 and make some Rice Krispie Treat cakes.
00:18 So they're gonna be the Minecraft cakes
00:20 out of Rice Krispie Treats.
00:21 We're gonna prepare our Rice Krispie Treats
00:23 with the Rice Krispie cereal
00:25 and some marshmallows and butter.
00:27 So let's go ahead and prepare it.
00:28 Over low heat, melt three tablespoons of butter.
00:31 Now add four cups of mini marshmallows.
00:34 Continue to stir your marshmallows
00:37 'til they're completely melted.
00:39 Now add six cups of your Rice Krispies.
00:41 Now pour your Rice Krispies into a pan
00:47 that's already been sprayed with baking spray.
00:50 Once your Rice Krispies are nice and flat,
00:57 we're gonna put it in the fridge to cool.
00:59 Now flip over your Rice Krispies
01:01 onto some foil or wax paper.
01:04 So now you're gonna roll out some fondant
01:12 and you're going to cut a square
01:14 larger than your Rice Krispies.
01:16 Then you're gonna get the Rice Krispie
01:17 and make sure that it has a little bit of border around it.
01:20 So this one is perfect.
01:22 And we're gonna get a little bit of white frosting
01:24 and place it on the top of the Rice Krispies.
01:27 And we're just going to get the fondant
01:28 and place it on top.
01:31 Smooth it out, make it as straight as you possibly can.
01:34 And when you get to the edges,
01:36 just curve it over the edges.
01:37 So when you cut the edge,
01:38 you're going to cut off the sharp corner
01:41 so that it's flat.
01:43 Then you're gonna find the center
01:45 of the Rice Krispie and you're gonna find
01:48 the two centers within that center.
01:50 So you're just gonna mark them.
01:52 And those are gonna be your holes for the cake is.
01:54 So you're going to cut a square out
01:59 from each one of those marks.
02:01 So now you're gonna roll out some red fondant, pretty thin.
02:04 And on the cake, there are six small squares
02:08 and four larger squares.
02:10 So we're gonna cut out four larger squares
02:13 and we can just make a slit.
02:17 Kind of looks like Fruit Roll-Up as well.
02:20 Make a nice slit and these will be our large ones.
02:23 (upbeat music)
02:25 And we're going to cut out six small.
02:29 So just cut a thinner slice of the fondant.
02:31 So now I'm gonna grab a toothpick
02:33 and we're going to get a dollop of frosting
02:35 for each little red piece of cake.
02:38 So now just grab your pieces and place them on top.
02:44 And just press them down
02:48 and they should stay down with the frosting.
02:50 (upbeat music)
02:53 So once you're done adding the decorations to your cake,
03:08 you now have an adorable mini Minecraft cake.
03:11 I think they are adorable and they are pretty simple.
03:15 Just basically Rice Krispie Treats with fondant.
03:18 But I think these are awesome
03:19 and would be great party favors.
03:22 I hope you guys enjoy this and try it out yourself.

03:38 a little bit earlier.
