00:00 Okay, you received your instruction.
00:02 Have a good team professional fight.
00:03 Touch him.
00:04 Be bale.
00:05 - So, Latif Coyote, we talked about Ring Rust,
00:10 about a fighter who is away from the ring for a year plus.
00:13 Coyote nearly five years away from the ring.
00:15 So, what will he show against Chad Davis,
00:19 the 22 fight veteran?
00:21 - Well, see, you know, Davis, a veteran guy,
00:23 but, you know, sort of a journeyman type.
00:25 So, Coyote coming back against the right kind of guy.
00:28 But let's see, because Coyote's five years away
00:30 from the ring, but also, and also, remember,
00:32 he's a major part of his career.
00:33 He was campaigning at Cruiserweight.
00:35 - Well, look at Davis.
00:36 He is stalking Coyote, hammering him from the outset.
00:41 Coyote, no sense of trying to shake off that Ring Rust.
00:46 He is under fire right now.
00:48 - Well, I think Davis probably realized,
00:49 you know what, this guy's been away from the ring.
00:51 He's 40 years old.
00:52 Let me try to step on the gas and see what he's got.
00:54 - We'll see if Davis,
00:57 and right now Coyote, is saying,
00:59 "All right, I see where you're coming at, champ."
01:01 Snapping back the head of Davis, but back comes Davis.
01:04 Boy, anything can happen when it comes to the heavyweights.
01:09 - Oh, yeah.
01:09 - Coyote's gotta be thinking,
01:12 "All right, I have not been used to this kind of contact
01:15 over the past five years."
01:19 Paulie, do you believe that Ring Rust is a thing,
01:23 or it's just something that, on a case-by-case basis?
01:25 - Oh, I think it is.
01:26 I mean, you know, you wanna--
01:28 you're gonna need to get your timing back,
01:29 and the only way you get your timing back
01:31 is in real-time punches coming at you, you know?
01:34 Obviously, you can spar and stay in the gym a lot.
01:35 That helps.
01:36 I don't know if after--
01:38 if you stay away out of the ring for five years
01:39 and you're sparring, I doubt it.
01:41 And also, for Coyote, this is probably a complete comeback.
01:43 In training for this fight, he was probably--
01:45 I assume he was out of the gym for a while
01:47 before training for this fight.
01:48 - Davis pushing his body on Coyote.
01:54 And Coyote looks in solid physical shape.
01:57 But Davis looking for the fences.
01:59 - But he's not able to close the gap on Davis.
02:01 Davis closed the gap on him, creating the punching space,
02:03 and Coyote's only doing work like this,
02:05 where it's just smothered
02:06 and not really getting anything done.
02:08 So far, Davis has had himself a good round.
02:11 - Well, fights like this, I think, are so entertaining
02:13 because, on paper, you would think Coyote
02:15 will likely blast him out,
02:17 but Davis is sort of trying to turn that narrative around.
02:21 - Yeah, and again, five years old,
02:23 and remember what I said, Coyote,
02:25 majority of the best part of his career was at Cruiserweight.
02:28 - Chan Davis, 22, 5th veteran.
02:34 We mentioned the fact that he fought the likes
02:36 of Michael Hunter and Sergei Luhovich as well,
02:40 entering his 16th year as a pro.
02:42 - See, for me, I'd like to see Coyote use a jab.
02:44 I mean, he's not doing anything, even at medium range.
02:47 And then at close range, he's just getting smothered.
02:50 So really having a hard time getting off.
02:52 And again, that could be part of ring rust.
02:53 Some of them, that could be older age.
02:55 You know, he's not getting off.
02:57 - And also, too, Paul, in the sense that
02:59 this is not an eight-round or a 10-round fight.
03:02 I mean, Coyotes used to body 10, 12-round fights.
03:05 This is a six-round fight, a comeback,
03:07 an overhand right that caught the attention of Davis.
03:09 He doesn't have too many rounds to give away.
03:13 - Yeah, well, he gave this one away, that's for sure.
03:14 - Absolutely.
03:15 Chad Davis swarmed Coyote, and that'll end the first.
03:22 (upbeat music)
03:25 So Chad Davis started off extremely strong.
03:51 In the opening round.
03:53 - Oh, did he ever.
03:54 He came out like a bat out of hell.
03:56 Came out, drove Coyote right back to his own corner.
03:59 He started firing off shots.
04:00 And Coyote was sort of overwhelmed, really, you know?
04:03 Really couldn't find the space to return fire.
04:07 Tried to fire a little right hand there, but got smothered.
04:09 But really, it was all Davis early on.
04:12 And really, Coyote never did get back to momentum
04:16 in the ring round one.
04:17 - And also, it is so important
04:20 because this is just a six round fight.
04:22 That first round, handily, was to Chad Davis.
04:26 So Coyote can't afford to give up too many more rounds.
04:29 Otherwise, he's gonna face himself
04:31 in a precarious position.
04:32 Lateef Coyote, cruiserweight contender,
04:38 fought Dennis Lebedev,
04:39 and also has fought Luis Ortiz.
04:42 Fought Antonio Tarver back on June 12th, 2012.
04:47 That was a no decision.
04:48 A right to the body by Coyote,
04:50 as he is now stalking Chad Davis.
04:53 - Yeah, and he's trying to keep using that jab
04:55 to put Davis out of position.
04:56 Now he stopped using it, and Davis, of course,
04:58 is able to get in range and throw some hooks
04:59 and hard shots.
05:00 - That was a right uppercut by Chad Davis,
05:02 but Coyote looking to turn him around.
05:05 There's a right on the left side of the head
05:07 of one Chad Davis.
05:10 Coming up, Nico Hernandez
05:12 in our main event of the evening.
05:14 The Olympic bronze medalist.
05:15 His second fight this year,
05:17 fought in February on Triller Fight Club,
05:19 and looking to make it 2-0 here in 2023.
05:24 He'll take on Ernesto Irayes of Nicaragua.
05:27 So far, Coyote isn't doing anything
05:37 to show you that he's gotten rid of the ring rust.
05:40 - Nah, he's got old man legs.
05:42 He's kind of falling in.
05:44 He's not able to set up any offense
05:45 from any kind of medium range.
05:47 Davis, right from here,
05:50 probably just beat him with a jab
05:51 if he really wanted to,
05:53 but he's making the decisions to get a little closer.
05:56 But even at close range,
05:57 Coyote's not really finding the space.
06:00 And there's a good little hook on the inside,
06:02 but not really figuring out ways
06:03 to be crafty in there and make space.
06:06 - Chad Davis, he last fought a split draw
06:11 on April 8th, Leonor Grachev.
06:15 That was a split draw that he had.
06:19 - That was a good jab by Coyote.
06:21 That set up some offense there.
06:22 - Let's see if Coyote can get things turned around.
06:25 - Ironically, when Coyote gets the jab going,
06:29 he's able to put Davis in position
06:30 to hit him with some shots.
06:32 There's no consistency on this jab as well.
06:36 - If you're Lateef Coyote, though,
06:37 if you were to lose this fight to Chad Davis,
06:39 that would be absolutely disastrous.
06:40 And I think it would foil any plans
06:43 of a significant return for the Nigerian.
06:47 - Yeah, you'd have to lose it.
06:49 - There's a right to the body.
06:50 I mean, you never want to be and say,
06:53 and I don't like this term, but it's true.
06:55 This is a must win for Lateef Coyote,
06:57 if you would gather.
06:59 - Yeah, especially if a guy like Davis, you know,
07:01 who is basically a giant in the sport,
07:04 you're expecting to get the results
07:06 that you get from the Money Weights.
07:08 - But again, as we--
07:10 - Good jab by Davis.
07:11 - Harken back to our previous fight
07:12 with Desmond Green and also Gordie Russ.
07:14 The second fights like this are important
07:17 because they provide some entertainment
07:20 and unexpected twists and turns
07:22 that unless the fight were to happen,
07:23 you would never think could be possible.
07:26 - Yeah, yeah.
07:27 - And Coyote's going back to the corner.
07:30 He looks to be a bit out of sorts, Paulie.
07:32 - Yeah, he's just not,
07:34 I don't like the way his legs are looking, honestly.
07:36 He looks like he has these old man legs, you know?
07:39 Not really steady or sturdy in any way.
07:41 - So, I was gonna ask you,
07:43 when it comes to old man legs,
07:44 I mean, elaborate on that for us.
07:46 - I mean, it just doesn't feel like
07:48 they're strong under him, you know?
07:51 He doesn't look like he's greatly balanced.
07:52 He's sort of like teetering.
07:55 - He looks unsteady.
07:56 - Yeah, unsteady.
07:57 - Like a seesaw.
07:57 - Yeah, like teetering, unsteady.
07:59 Even when you see when he's at center,
08:00 he can't really put together any offense
08:02 from middle to long range.
08:03 He's gotta try to get close.
08:04 Then he can't figure out even at close range
08:06 what his range would be
08:07 because he's smothering himself every single time.
08:09 And that's also, that has to do with your legs,
08:11 and you're not able to have your legs
08:12 put you in the right position.
08:14 So, you end up leaning in and falling in
08:15 so they can get some help standing up, so to speak.
08:19 - I hate to put you on the spot,
08:20 but I'm gonna do so anyway.
08:21 The first two rounds, how do you have it?
08:23 - Um, I got--
08:24 - Do you think it's one-one?
08:24 Do you think it's two-nothing for Chad Davis?
08:26 - I'm leaning more towards two-nothing.
08:28 The first one was definitely Davis.
08:29 The second one was closer,
08:30 but I don't know that Coyote did enough to win the round.
08:32 It was closer, though.
08:34 - Well, this is a very important moment
08:35 in the career of Lateef Coyote.
08:37 Been away from the ring for nearly five years,
08:39 looking to make a comeback,
08:41 but Chad Davis has other plans
08:43 and looking for the biggest win of his career.
08:45 There's a left hook that caught the attention of Coyote,
08:50 but Coyote's very heavy on that front foot
08:53 and almost has his chin out there,
08:54 there to be tagged.
08:56 (crowd shouting)
08:58 - Been interesting here.
09:12 A lot of waiting there,
09:15 and then Coyote has to take advantage of this.
09:16 You know, he's gotta--
09:17 - There's a left hook for Chad Davis.
09:21 - Yeah, Coyote has to be the one to initiate.
09:24 He could be down two-oh.
09:25 He needs to start, and again,
09:27 you got a 21 and four record,
09:28 you come back after a long layoff.
09:30 If you wanna make a statement,
09:31 you need to beat a guy like Davis pretty convincingly,
09:33 and right now he's not done a good job of that.
09:35 As a matter of fact, he's probably behind in the fight.
09:37 - And he's not even doing just basic fundamentals.
09:39 You think a guy like Coyote's been in the ring
09:41 against the likes of Dennis Grottschef
09:44 and his fog Luis Ortiz,
09:46 that he would be able to utilize his jab
09:48 in just basic fundamentals.
09:50 We're not even seeing that out of Coyote tonight.
09:52 - No, no, not at all.
09:53 Again, unsteady legs, it prevents all that.
09:57 - I don't know if Coyote was overconfident,
09:59 thinking, "I'm just gonna blast this guy out,"
10:01 looking at his record that is a bit lopsided,
10:04 but I mean, obviously, you look at,
10:09 Coyote seems to be very much out of sorts
10:13 and has not been able to utilize his game plan
10:16 as he's in significant trouble against Chad Davis.
10:19 - And Davis has given him the opportunities, man.
10:20 I mean, you can see Davis is starting to get off
10:23 a little bit less here, but when Davis gets off,
10:25 he's still getting more mustard on his shots,
10:27 you know, because Coyote's getting off from the wrong range.
10:30 He's a little too close.
10:31 - There's a left uppercut by Coyote.
10:33 Now Coyote's using his jab.
10:35 I mean, maybe it's gonna take him a few rounds to warm up,
10:38 but still, I mean, I think that Chad Davis
10:41 is beating him to the punch.
10:43 - Yeah, again, no legs on the part of Coyote.
10:44 He won't use his jab, he just falls in after.
10:47 - But can you imagine what the odds were
10:49 coming into this matchup?
10:51 You would gather that Coyote was a heavy favorite
10:53 and Chad Davis is very much showing that
10:57 there's a reason why you fight the fights.
10:59 - And Davis is initiating clenches
11:01 when he could be punching.
11:02 I mean, Davis is trying to give the fight back to Coyote,
11:04 but I don't know if Coyote's trying to take it.
11:07 - We'll see if Coyote can get to work here
11:11 in this, the end of the third round.
11:14 Heavyweights in action, our co-main event
11:17 here on Triller Fight Club,
11:19 the Awakening in Augusta, Georgia.
11:20 (crowd shouting)

11:35 - And big shot, and down goes David Rickles
11:38 for the second time, and that's gonna rule the knockdown,
11:41 and that is, and that's the fight,
11:44 game, third match, Coyote Slash.
11:47 (upbeat music)
11:50 - Back to action we go.
11:54 There is a very concerned Latif Coyote
11:59 as we enter round four,
12:01 and he needs to come out to fight
12:04 with a sense of urgency, Paulie,
12:06 because I think he's either down three nothing,
12:09 could be down two one, and look at his legs.
12:12 Very unsteady, moving around like he's dancing a little bit,
12:15 but it's not time to dance just yet.
12:18 - Nah, nah, nah, but of course, I'll tell you,
12:20 Dave is also starting to, you know, not be as hungry,
12:23 and of course, that's not unexpected
12:25 with a guy with his record, but I'll tell you,
12:28 Dave has a chance to get, like you said,
12:29 the biggest win of his career here,
12:31 if he actually tries to step on the gas
12:32 and tries to claim the win,
12:34 but I saw moments in that last round
12:36 where he gave Coyote a chance to punch back
12:37 and get in range and stuff like that,
12:39 so he's giving Coyote chances
12:40 to get himself back in the fight
12:42 when really, if Dave has decided to take,
12:44 if Dave would decide to take charge in this,
12:45 he might be able to,
12:47 because Coyote's legs look very unsteady from the start.
12:49 - Well, now we are in the second half of the fight
12:51 between Chad Davis and Lateef Coyote.
12:54 Chad Davis, a 22-fight veteran,
12:57 Lateef Coyote, 21 and four,
12:59 been away from the ring since July of 2018,
13:03 nearly a five-year layoff back in the ring at age 40.
13:06 - See, too much waiting here for both guys.
13:08 You know, there's lulls.
13:09 Elise Davis now is still in the gaps of the jab,
13:11 but too much waiting there,
13:13 especially, like I said, from a guy like Coyote
13:15 who's gotta get it off.
13:16 I mean, he's gotta get off there.
13:17 There's a good right hand there,
13:18 but a good right hand there from Davis.
13:20 - Well, if Coyote has any aspiration
13:22 of once again getting back to those big prize-fighting days
13:26 that he was accustomed to in his career,
13:27 he's gotta come back and look impressive here
13:30 against Chad Davis.
13:32 Coyote, and he's sort of telling Davis,
13:39 "Come on, come forward."
13:40 - But that's not gonna do it.
13:42 You see, I don't know what that's gonna do.
13:43 You've got to know at a certain point
13:44 that you're not winning the round.
13:46 So it's up to you to initiate anything.
13:49 - I give credit to the referee
13:50 because he's allowing them to fight,
13:52 and he was always like, "Okay, they're not doing anything.
13:54 "I gotta get in there."
13:55 And here comes Davis.
13:56 A laptop to the body by Davis,
14:00 and he's doing just enough to beat Coyote
14:04 and really accumulate a bit more points and land punches.
14:08 - Yeah, and again, Coyote's allowing it to happen.
14:12 - And Davis, again, sharp right hand.
14:13 - There's a right hand over the top by Davis.
14:16 - And gets Coyote's gloves up.
14:17 And again, now Coyote's punching back.
14:18 And now Davis, you see how he does.
14:20 He throws one punch and then he holds.
14:22 You see, like, they're both trying
14:23 to give the fight to one another,
14:24 but nobody's grabbing the ball by the horns.
14:27 - Just over the midway point of the fourth round.
14:30 Paul, you know how big of a football fan I am.
14:32 This is like the epitome of nine to three on the scoreboard.
14:37 Both teams are sort of, you know,
14:38 using field goals to try to get some offense.
14:42 - Coming up on a minute to go in the fourth round.
14:44 - And it's the equivalent of a constant three and out, too.
14:48 - Yeah, I mean, exactly.
14:50 It's literally a defensive battle
14:51 with, you know, sprinkles of offense.
14:54 - Yeah, with every team just running the ball
14:56 and not trying to pass it. - Exactly.
14:58 I mean, prior to Justin Fields, that was my Chicago Bears,

15:44 but there's a good right hand from Davis,
15:45 but it's just neither guy's really able

18:25 and I'm not trying to give him an alibi, Benny,
18:27 stretch the imagination, but could it be a case,
18:29 Paulie, that he's so programmed
18:30 to fighting 10 or 12 round fights
18:32 that he might be thinking,
18:33 "I still got more time than what he really does have"?
18:36 - I don't know.
18:37 I certainly think it, I guess, is a possibility,
18:39 but I don't think he's programmed to do anything.
18:40 He's been out of the ring for five years,
18:41 and I think he's just,
18:43 he's not really understanding what's happening over here.
18:48 He's a little bit, I think he's a little bit in denial.
18:49 He's laughing his way through the fight,
18:50 and he's not, he needs help in this fight right now.
18:53 I don't think he's winning the fight,
18:54 but he's on his way to losing it
18:55 if he doesn't step up something,
18:56 but I don't know that he can do it.
18:59 I don't know that physically he has it there, you know?
19:02 - I mean, you're looking at Chad Davis,
19:04 who is outworking Latif Coyote,
19:07 the cruiserweight and heavyweight contender,
19:10 and it's pretty much been the same story.
19:13 Chad Davis outworking Latif Coyote.
19:17 He's in the trenches getting the better of the exchanges,
19:20 and Coyote really hasn't given him anything
19:22 to worry about whatsoever from the outset of this matchup.
19:25 - You see there, Coyote throws,
19:27 but Davis answers with two shots, you know?
19:29 And Coyote throws, and basically,
19:31 every single shot Coyote throws in there,
19:33 Davis answers it with two.
19:34 So he's out throwing him,
19:36 he's basically just out-hungering him, you know?
19:39 And don't get me wrong, neither of these guys
19:40 are fighting a very hungry fight.
19:42 - No, not at all, and Coyote looking to get things going
19:45 towards the end of this penultimate round.
19:48 There's a right on the inside,
19:50 a left that momentarily wobbled Coyote.
19:52 One more round to go.
19:53 Both men exhausted.
19:55 - Davis looks exhausted.
19:57 - Yeah, Davis is sincerely very much
20:01 breathing heavy.
20:02 - And I gotta tell you, Coyote dancing in his corner.
20:04 If Coyote has anything left,
20:05 he's gotta sit it all in the ring now in round six,
20:08 'cause he's got Davis very tired,
20:10 and Coyote should save some of the dancing,
20:12 put away some of the dancing,
20:14 and use all that energy to throw
20:15 all the punches he can in the sixth round,
20:16 'cause he might be able to get a stoppage here.
20:18 I mean, Davis looked like he barely wanted
20:20 to walk back to his own corner.
20:21 - We saw some theatrics from Gordie Russ II
20:26 getting a late stoppage in the penultimate round
20:29 against Desmond Green.
20:31 This is even more of a case where Lateef Coyote
20:34 needs to dig deep and come out with a miraculous victory.
20:38 - I'll tell you what, he's got more energy than Davis.
20:40 Davis looked like he doesn't even wanna get up
20:42 and come out for the sixth round.
20:43 - You know what, Paulie, it's crazy to say,
20:47 but this fight is still very much within the grasp
20:51 of Lateef Coyote, because Coyote's dancing,
20:54 and you look at Chad Davis,
20:57 he's barely able to get upright,
20:59 maintain his vertical base.
21:00 - Yeah, but I also think Coyote's in denial
21:03 in terms of he doesn't even know he's losing the fight.
21:05 So he's gotta make it happen right now.
21:07 - Well, his manager had a conversation
21:10 and was yelling at him.
21:12 I'm wondering if that'll play any part
21:15 into the performance of Lateef Coyote
21:17 in the sixth and final round,
21:19 as he takes on the 22-fight veteran in Chad Davis.
21:22 [crowd shouting]
21:25 - Davis outthrown Coyote still.
21:30 - There's a right from Davis,
21:33 and Coyote goes backwards, then comes forward.
21:35 A couple of left hooks upstairs.
21:36 Oh boy, now mind that oblomove Chad Davis.
21:40 Those were the best two punches of the fight
21:42 for Lateef Coyote.
21:43 Can Coyote turn back the clock here
21:48 and go back of Coyote's 21 wins?
21:53 16 of those are by knockout.
21:57 - Again, remember, a lot of that was at Cruiserweight.
22:00 - True, and at heavyweight,
22:02 does he have the ability to put away
22:06 an opponent like Chad Davis,
22:07 who even though he's a journeyman
22:09 and Coyote's still dancing around,
22:10 I am befuddled by the demeanor of Coyote.
22:14 He is like almost amusing himself,
22:17 but he's down to the cards in a major way.
22:19 And here he goes going toe to toe.
22:21 - Let's see here, who wants to win this fight.
22:24 - Even though it has been a unique matchup,
22:29 this is wickedly entertaining.
22:31 The heavyweights certainly provide
22:38 for your fair share of thrills.
22:40 You're watching Triller Fight Club here on Fight,
22:44 799 among them.
22:46 If you want to see a litany of combat sports,
22:48 including Triller Fight Club events,
22:50 and also BKFC.
22:52 There's a sneaky right hand by Lateef Coyote.
22:57 I am very much curious,
23:06 we have under a minute left here in the sixth round.
23:14 As Chad Davis in the chest of Coyote.
23:18 Chad Davis,
23:25 ate a right hand as he came forward on Lateef Coyote.
23:30 - Well, you can probably do it,
23:31 Davis kind of pulled,
23:32 he's got no legs either.
23:34 - Davis might be,
23:35 and there he goes, Davis!
23:37 Oh my goodness, away at the entrance
23:40 from Lateef Coyote!
23:41 Wow!
23:44 - And Davis got away!
23:46 - One second left and this one's over!
23:53 Lateef Coyote,
23:54 when he needed it the most,
23:57 comes on and gets a stoppage over Chad Davis!
24:02 He resurrects his comeback,
24:06 and he does it in the final 15 seconds.
24:10 - I told you Ray,
24:11 I saw the way Davis went back,
24:13 went back to his corner after the fifth round,
24:15 he looked like he didn't even wanna get up
24:16 in the sixth round.
24:17 They must've convinced him well,
24:18 because he came out early in the sixth round,
24:19 threw some good shots,
24:21 but by the time we got to the second half
24:23 in the sixth round,
24:24 he was falling over himself again,
24:25 and Coyote got him out,
24:26 he managed to get him out of there.
24:28 - Lateef Coyote,
24:30 was in serious trouble,
24:33 he comes out and he gets a knockout win over Chad Davis.
24:39 - Something about Augusta, Georgia,
24:42 where we have seen our fair share of theatrics here tonight.
24:44 - Yeah, two come from behind knockouts,
24:47 late in the fight,
24:48 late drama.
24:50 - Coyote was able to dig deep,
24:55 and he had enough to be able to put away Chad Davis
25:00 in this matchup in the sixth and final round.
25:03 - I mean, he was falling over himself there,
25:05 and Coyote just kinda helped him with that right hand.
25:08 - I just think that for Chad Davis,
25:12 it was a solid punch,
25:14 but to me, it was more so a case
25:18 of exhaustion from Chad Davis,
25:20 and Coyote outlasted him.
25:22 And credit to Lateef Coyote,
25:25 there is always a method to the madness with fighters, Paulie
25:29 and for Lateef Coyote,
25:30 his confidence never dwindled.
25:33 We were looking at each other like,
25:34 how can this guy be so confident,
25:36 be dancing around,
25:38 and be so lackadaisical.
25:40 - Maybe he knew something we didn't know.
25:42 - Apparently, I said it,
25:43 there fighters have a method to their madness,
25:46 they beat to their own drum.
25:48 I look back at T.O. Pima Lopez last week
25:50 when he beat Josh Taylor,
25:51 people were writing him off.
25:53 I'll admit, I was writing Lateef Coyote off.
25:56 I thought like, this guy is 40 years of age,
25:58 he looks old, he looks disinterested,
26:00 and he comes out,
26:02 and even though he fought a journeyman fighter,
26:04 he got a stoppage win and finished off Chad Davis.
26:07 - Yeah, but I don't know if it was more to do with him
26:09 or the fact that Davis was so exhausted,
26:11 he just needed a little help going overboard,
26:14 you know, because,
26:15 I don't think it was anything in particular Coyote did,
26:18 it was just Davis was so exhausted
26:20 that he was falling over himself.
26:21 - Well, look at Coyote,
26:22 Coyote's still dancing,
26:23 he's waiting to touch gloves with Chad Davis,
26:25 and Chad Davis is being attended to
26:28 by these medical professionals.
26:30 - I don't know if Davis expected to beat the sixth round,
26:32 he's, you know, in his record,
26:33 he's probably used to getting stopped earlier,
26:35 and all of a sudden he finds himself
26:36 in the sixth round of a fight he's winning,
26:38 and he's exhausted, he's like,
26:39 "I should, they should have bit-got me
26:40 out of here already."
26:41 And so, he aptly got himself stopped.
26:44 - Two things here about this fight,
26:45 one, Lateef Coyote had his back against the wall,
26:48 and was able to get a stoppage,
26:49 two, Chad Davis found a way to lose this fight.
26:52 - Oh yeah. - He was winning this one.
26:54 - But I started to catch it around round three or four,
26:57 where he just turned down,
26:59 he turned down the intensity for absolutely no reason,
27:01 and I was like, he's trying to figure out ways
27:03 to give the fight back to Coyote,
27:05 and he's going into that opponent mentality
27:07 that he, I guess that he has based on his record,
27:09 and sure enough, it happened.
27:11 - Let's go back and revisit what was a very unique ending
27:15 to our co-main event.
27:17 - Yeah, we saw some of the action early in the fight,
27:21 I mean, maybe should have saved some of these punches
27:23 for later on, you know?
27:24 Came out firing right away.
27:26 Coyote was able to withstand some of the early assault,
27:30 but wasn't really doing enough,
27:32 trying to draw Davis to the ropes,
27:34 it's not like he was playing with him on the ropes,
27:35 he was letting Davis get off more punches,
27:37 so Coyote was losing the fight,
27:39 and then sure enough,
27:40 as they got to the late part of the fight,
27:42 Davis with no legs,
27:44 I think if Coyote would have just got out of the way,
27:46 he would have fell, but didn't with the right hand,
27:48 allowed him to score a knockdown,
27:49 and not allowed the referee to stop the fight.
27:51 - Yeah, he almost fell into the front row,
27:53 and I wonder, Paulie, if, you know,
27:56 his manager came over and was like yelling at Lateef Coyote,
27:59 I wonder if that had any part
28:02 in the sense of urgency in Coyote
28:04 in that sixth and final round.
28:05 - I don't know, I don't know,
28:06 'cause early on in the round,
28:08 Davis was getting off more punches still.
28:10 - And now we'll send it up to ring announcer,
28:12 here's Jason Share to make it all official.
28:14 - Ladies and gentlemen, in the fourth bout tonight,
28:30 in the round, the sixth round,
28:32 at 2.45 in the sixth round,
28:34 your winner by technical knockout, Lateef Coyote!
28:38 - Paulie, numerically, 2.59,
28:46 the stoppage win for Gordie Russ over Desmond Green
28:50 in the fifth round,
28:52 and this one, 2.45 for Lateef Coyote in the sixth round.
