U.S. President Joe Biden announced on
Monday, June 19, that his government
is investing over $600 million to help
coastal communities around the
country fight climate change. During
a visit to Palo Alto, Biden said the
Department of Commerce would
launch the Climate Resilience Regional
Challenge to deliver funds where
communities are building projects to
protect against the impacts of climate
change, including sea level rise,
