3 Easy Spring Braided Hairstyles!

00:03 So spring is upon us, and I am going
00:09 to show you three quick and easy, no heat, braided
00:12 hairstyles for the season that I love.
00:15 And let's get started.
00:16 So here's what you're going to need.
00:18 First and foremost is a hairbrush.
00:20 There's mine.
00:21 It's kind of ugly, but whatever.
00:22 One hair tie, maybe the color of your hair,
00:25 and a couple clear, tiny elastics for your hair.
00:27 Also, you're going to need two bobby pins.
00:30 And this is the first hairstyle, so basically just
00:32 brush through your hair, and then make it half up
00:36 and half down, maybe a little bit less than half on top,
00:39 but just brush it together so you
00:41 have the first layer of your hair gathered together
00:45 like that.
00:47 And then you're going to just tie it off
00:49 with one of those little clear elastics.
00:50 If your hair is super thick, then you
00:56 might want to use an actual hair tie, but mine's not that thick.
00:59 So I just used a little elastic, and secure it half up,
01:02 half down like that.
01:05 So that's what it looks like.
01:06 And then just kind of poke through the middle
01:09 of the top layer, and grab the ponytail hanging down from it,
01:15 and pull it over the top and through the hole
01:17 you just created to kind of twist it and give it
01:21 that little elegant spin, or the spring.
01:26 And now just basically take the ponytail
01:28 that's hanging down from there and braid it down,
01:30 simple and easy.
01:31 And tie it off with your other little clear elastic.
01:36 And that's it for the first hairstyle.
01:40 I love the look of it.
01:41 It's so unique and fun, but it's really, really easy to do.
01:45 And now the next one is kind of this messy kind
01:48 of braided bun, side bun.
01:50 So what you're going to do is start
01:52 on one side of your hair.
01:53 I recommend doing it on the side opposite your bangs,
01:56 but if you have bangs, at least.
01:57 But you can do whatever you want.
01:59 And just kind of start by dividing into three sections
02:01 and start French braiding it towards the other side
02:05 of your head, down by the base of your hair above your neck.
02:09 And just keep adding hair on the sides.
02:10 It can be messy, and it just looks nice.
02:12 And then finally, when you get to the other side,
02:13 right below your ear, grab your hair tie
02:16 and tie it into a messy bun.
02:17 And that's it.
02:19 So you have kind of like this beachy braided bun.
02:23 And now for the last one.
02:24 This one's really, really easy.
02:25 All you need to do is know how to braid.
02:27 And you grab just a couple inch section near the front,
02:31 like on top of your ear, on one side of your head,
02:33 and just make a really small, tight braid,
02:36 kind of pulling it towards the back of your head.
02:39 So that's where it wants to fall.
02:41 And you don't have to braid it all the way down,
02:43 but then bobby pin it and kind of cover it with your hair.
02:48 So then you can kind of see it in the front.
02:50 Mine, you can't see it as well, but when I did it before,
02:53 you could.
02:53 So just make sure you can see it.
02:55 And then it'll kind of tuck into your hair,
02:57 so you can't see the bobby pin.
02:58 And then on the other side, do the exact same thing.
03:00 Maybe under your bangs, or if you don't have bangs,
03:02 just do the same thing on the other side,
03:04 where it's kind of peeking out from under.
03:07 And then you pin it across.
03:08 I look so confused.
03:13 It's kind of funny.
03:15 And then hide it with your hair again after you pin it.
03:20 Again, I wasn't using a mirror, so this
03:23 didn't turn out that great.
03:24 But you get the gist of it.
03:26 So that's it.
