00:00 Hey guys, so in today's video I'm going to be doing a tutorial for this jewel toned makeup
00:05 look.
00:06 So let's go ahead and get started.
00:09 First I'm taking this color from Makeup Geek called Creme Brulee and I'm going to buff
00:13 that into the upper crease.
00:19 Next I'm going to take this super pigmented shadow from my oprah palette.
00:22 This is like a warm, rich, deep hot chocolate brown.
00:27 And I'm going to take a MAC 217 brush and buff it into kind of my upper crease, not
00:32 directly into my crease but just a little bit above it.
00:36 It's going to help to make your eye look a little bit larger.
00:39 So once I get it to the desired darkness I'm going to come back in with that Creme Brulee
00:43 color one more time and then buff it all together.
00:47 Next I'm going to take this super creamy coppery gold shade and apply that directly to my lid
00:52 using a shader brush.
01:03 So now it's time to do our intense winged eyeliner and for that I'm using this one from
01:07 e.l.f., their $1 liquid liner.
01:10 And I am going to be doing a very large wing today.
01:13 I took it to a place it's never been before.
01:16 And as you can see I took it a little bit too far but I'm just going to go ahead and
01:20 fill it in.
01:21 And I kind of noticed after I started watching this video that this e.l.f. liner has seen
01:26 better days.
01:27 I'm pretty sure it's time to get a new one.
01:29 So it wasn't that dark.
01:30 So I think it's just running out or something, I don't know.
01:33 But I ended up going back over it a few more times.
01:43 And then I also decided that this wing just went out a little bit too far.
01:48 So I just grabbed a q-tip with a little bit of makeup remover and took off that last little
01:53 section that was just doing too much.
01:58 I really wanted to add a little bit of shimmer and warmth to the look so I'm taking this
02:02 Inglot pigment in shade 232 and I'm going to pop that directly on top of that other
02:07 shadow that I added to the lid and on the inner corner of the eye.
02:12 So now to conceal underneath the eye I'm going to use this one from It Cosmetics.
02:15 It's called Bye Bye Under Eye.
02:18 And I'm going to apply that right underneath and kind of sharpen out that winged liner
02:22 a little bit.
02:34 So now I want to add a pop of intense blue.
02:36 So I'm going to mix these two shades from the Ofra palette and smudge those underneath
02:42 my lash line and I'm also going to put it underneath the entire wing.
02:46 I'm going to actually wing out the blue with the black wing if that makes sense.
02:58 And I think my camera was a little too bright right now but you can't really see it but
03:03 the blue is actually really really intense.
03:05 It was so pretty and normally I don't wear blue but I actually really liked it underneath
03:10 the lower lash line.
03:15 So now I want to add some blue to my waterline and I'm using this LA Girl Gel Liner in the
03:20 color Gypsy Teal which blended in perfectly with the blue eyeshadow.
03:32 And like I said the black for my wing was just not black enough.
03:36 It just didn't have enough definition so I'm adding a little bit of black eyeshadow onto
03:40 the top of it.
03:42 And then I just wanted a little bit more color on that inner corner so I'm coming back in
03:46 with that Inglot pigment and packing it on on the inner tear duct.
03:57 So now to define the tear duct and make it look really really intense I'm going to take
04:01 some of my eyeliner and create like a really intense V shape in my tear duct.
04:08 I'm just adding it in there and it's extremely important that you use a waterproof liner
04:12 for this because even if you don't have watery eyes it's the tear duct that's where tears
04:17 are I'm pretty sure.
04:19 So you definitely want to make sure you use something that's waterproof so it doesn't
04:22 smudge.
04:23 And then eventually I did decide to come back in and add some of my other gel liner just
04:28 to make it really intense and I can't believe I ended up doing my winged eyeliner three
04:33 times here.
04:34 That's crazy.
04:39 So now I'm just going to add some mascara and then I'm going to pop on some false lashes.
04:43 These are Goddess from Coco Lashes.
04:54 So I just did my foundation and now I'm going to apply a highlight to my skin and I'm using
04:59 the Mac Prep and Prime Light Boost Eye Pen.
05:03 And I'm going to buff that in with a beauty blender and then set underneath my eye area
05:07 using Ben Nye's Cameo Powder.
05:10 This is my favorite powder to use around the eye area just because it really prevents creasing
05:15 and it's not too intense.
05:17 To set the rest of my skin I'm going to use this Laura Mercier Setting Powder.
05:21 It's just a sheer translucent setting powder.
05:24 Now I'm going to add some bronzers to give me some life and then contour my cheeks, put
05:30 on a little bit of blush.
05:32 This blush is Infatuation from Makeup Geek.
05:37 And then for the lip color I really wanted to keep it with the jewel toned kind of theme.
05:42 So I'm taking this Sephora Lustre Matte Lipstick/Lip Gloss.
05:47 It actually ends up drying matte but I had a lip balm underneath it so it kind of looked
05:52 really really shiny.
05:53 This is in the color Cranberry and this is super easy to apply.
05:57 I don't need a liner with this one which is what I love about it.
06:01 So that wraps up this look.
06:02 This was my jewel toned inspired makeup look.
06:07 I hope you guys enjoyed this video.
