Marine Rescue NSW Inspector Rodney Page gives an update on the search for a rock fisherman off Lighthouse Beach.

00:00 Last night we were contacted by Marine Airy Command in Sydney to tell us that a rock fisherman
00:07 had been swept off the rocks just north of Lighthouse here in Port Macquarie.
00:14 So we activated all our vessels and they went out in good order to start the search along
00:20 the coastline there.
00:21 We were able to find someone out in the water under those conditions which were deteriorating
00:28 as the search went on and it was just making it harder and harder but they stuck with it
00:34 and all power to them to bring closure to the family.
00:38 The fisherman was not wearing a life jacket and we'd like to implore everyone to wear
00:42 a life jacket, especially those fishermen on the rocks.
00:46 They don't spoil your day on the water and they may well save your life.
