Officers attached to the Mid North Coast police district are taking part in the Legs for Police Legacy challenge. Over the course of 24 hours, participants will ride spin bikes to raise awareness and funds for NSW Police Legacy.

00:00So what we've got is we've got our own local police are going to ride bikes for 24 hours
00:23and it's to raise money for Police Legacy.
00:25Police Legacy is the number one fundraising for police legatees.
00:32It's very important that we look after police legatees moving forward.
00:36Police Legacy do a wonderful job, they're a very important part of the NSW Police Force
00:42and unfortunately we do have deaths in the NSW Police Force and Police Legacy there are
00:46to support in a number of ways, financially, in welfare, they look after a lot of kids
00:52whose parents unfortunately passed away, they do a wonderful job and it's very important
00:56to all members of the NSW Police Force to continue to support a wonderful cause.
01:00I think I've got the starting position at midday so yeah I'll take off but what I want
01:07to say is it's a credit to the police that have given up their own time, the local police
01:12to come down here today and tonight and tomorrow and ride for a wonderful cause so hopefully
01:17we can raise some money and look if I can urge members of the community to get in there
01:21and support us and donate, buy raffle tickets, whatever we can do because as I say it is
01:27for a great cause.
