Thousands of Moviegoers Plan Barbenheimer Double Feature

00:09 The two films couldn't be more different.

00:12 Yet tens of thousands of fans have already bought tickets

00:15 to see both films on the same day,

00:17 making it a double feature.

00:19 It's being called Barbenheimer.

00:22 The craze is showing up on social media

00:24 with fan generated movie posters featuring both films.

00:28 But which film to see first?

00:30 The debate is on.

00:31 I think actually start your day with Barbie,

00:33 then go straight into Oppenheimer.

00:35 Meredith Loftus of LA is proudly sporting

00:38 her Barbenheimer t-shirt and is opting to see

00:40 the three hour Oppenheimer first, then Barbie.

00:44 I am so excited.

00:45 I have been waiting for this day for so long.

00:47 So the fact that it's here just feels surreal.

00:50 Fandango correspondent Nikki Novak says,

00:53 "We've never seen anything like it before."

00:55 This was the biggest surprise for Hollywood in general

00:59 because it wasn't marketed that way.

01:03 which movie would do better opening weekend,

01:04 and then it became a celebration of both movies.

01:08 and both the movies are scoring high.

01:11 Rotten Tomatoes gives Oppenheimer a 97% favorable rating

01:15 and Barbie gets a 90%,

01:17 though the New York Post differed,

01:19 calling Barbie lousy.

01:22 Both of these films are so incredible,

01:24 so entertaining.

01:26 Barbie is the pinkest movie I ever saw.

01:29 It's fun, it's full of life, it's energetic,

01:31 and then you have Oppenheimer, this gripping drama.
