00:00 Savannah Chrisley is staking her claim.
00:02 The star says she will not be participating in any potential upcoming documentary about
00:05 her family and imprisoned parents Todd and Julie Chrisley.
00:13 Savannah took to Instagram Stories on Wednesday to set the record straight, claiming that
00:16 she will not be involved in any documentary about her family.
00:19 This all comes after her estranged half-sister, Lindsay Chrisley, spoke about one on her podcast.
00:24 It's Daniel Iwanyi reporting with all the details.
00:26 55-year-old Savannah has been taking care of her family since parents Todd and Julie
00:30 Chrisley were sent to prison for tax evasion.
00:32 The daughter of the reality star parents has been driving nearly every weekend to see each
00:36 parent and claims it's not been easy.
00:38 The star was given details about her family's situation as it unfolds on her podcast titled
00:42 "Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley" and now she's taking a stand against something that
00:45 her estranged half-sister said on her podcast.
00:48 Lindsay recently spoke out regarding this rumored documentary on her podcast "Southern
00:52 Tea with Lindsay Chrisley."
00:53 The news did not sit well with Savannah, who took to social media to give her side of the
00:57 story.
00:58 "I was notified of some crazy stories that have been out there about this family documentary.
01:05 First off, I want to set the record straight.
01:07 There is no family documentary that's happening."
01:11 The star went on to say, "Me, Chase, the kids, and Nanny Faye are filming a new reality show,
01:16 and we've partnered with an amazing production company to do this, and it's going to be the
01:19 first reality show that we've done.
01:21 When it comes to a documentary, not happening."
01:23 "Chase and I were very much against a documentary happening because the truth just wasn't behind
01:31 it."
01:32 Claiming that any possible documentary would be "based off of lies," Savannah added, "At
01:37 the end of the day, if mom and dad aren't involved, how do you get the full truth?
01:40 They should be able to share their side of any story that's being told.
01:43 And me, as their power of attorney, I obviously know the truth, and that is what it is."
01:47 Chrisley did not go on to explain what the documentary in question exactly was, but the
01:50 star did not stop there.
01:52 "No crazy ex-wife or anyone else is going to be able to tell the accurate truth.
02:00 That's just what it is.
02:02 So at this point, any documentary that happens, it's BS, it's a lie."
02:08 Savannah hinted at Todd's ex-wife, Teresa Terry, whom he was married to in 1990-1996.
02:14 Todd and Teresa shared children, Lindsay and Kyle Chrisley.
02:16 Over the years, the children had complicated relationships to the point where Lindsay told
02:20 fans she'd "blocked everyone in an argument," though she added that there was "no drama
02:25 between anyone at the time."
02:26 In the end, Savannah teased a new reality show that will feature "everything" with
02:30 their new situation and their mom and dad.
02:32 She also noted that the family is "going okay" with the family business.
02:36 Lindsay, on the other hand, says she has no plans to participate in the upcoming documentary
02:40 on her podcast, but neither alleged what it would be about.
