00:02 Let's go!
00:03 On July 25th, the Tour de France Féminin arrives in Dordogne.
00:08 My name is Louis De Bergevin, I'm a journalist at France Bleu Périgord
00:11 and I decided to go and see what the Périgordine part of the stage looks like.
00:15 From the Côte des Andrieux to Montignac, 60 km away.
00:19 For this, I recruited Gaëlle Poirier-Carrot, a former high-level cyclist
00:23 and two promising young cyclists from the Périgaud Cycloclub in Dordogne.
00:26 First coast here, fourth of the stage out of five, and it's off to a good start.
00:32 It's a climb that's going to be fast, it's long, we're on a lot of asphalt, we're in Périgord.
00:41 We have magnificent landscapes on this part of the stage in Dordogne.
00:48 It's splendid, we have beautiful views.

01:07 - Hello Roselyne. - Hello.
01:09 - You are the director of the Hautefort castle.
01:11 The Tour de France Féminin will be held at the foot of your castle.
01:14 What does that mean for you? It's a great event.
01:16 - It's fabulous, we're very happy.
01:18 It's an event because the Tour de France itself is one.
01:22 And in addition, feminine, I find it very important.
01:26 As you can see, I am a girl at the head of this castle.
01:29 And that's part of the beautiful things in life, that women can be more present.
01:35 - I have the impression that at the edge of your castle, in the garden of your castle,
01:38 it's the best place to see the Tour de France Féminin.
01:41 - The maximum demand is expected to enjoy it.
01:44 - The heat is perhaps what is most difficult there.
01:47 [Music]
01:51 - It's leaving again that hurts the butt.
01:53 - It's normal to hurt your butt when you're on a bike at the beginning.
01:56 - Yes, it's normal, yes, indeed.
01:58 - I take the wheel, I get behind, so I don't make an effort.
02:02 And then I kill them in the sprint.
02:04 - It's a stage that will mark the organisms, I think.
02:07 - Yeah.
02:08 - In particular, maybe the weather will play a decisive role on this stage.
02:14 - After that, we'll be at the beginning of the Tour, so the organisms will be still fresh.
02:20 [Music]
02:26 - It's perhaps a stage that seems trivial on paper, but which is actually with all its sides.
02:31 - I wouldn't be surprised to see, not necessarily a massive arrival, indeed.
02:37 - An arrival with barouders.
02:39 - Hello Lucas.
02:43 - So, how are you?
02:45 - It's going very well. We're good here on the edge of the Vézère.
02:47 - Ah, it's cooler. The Tour de France girls will pass on the bridge right there.
02:51 - Yes, that's it.
02:52 - And they will see the Vézère.
02:54 - They will see the beautiful Vézère. Here we have the remains of an old dam.
02:57 - We see the remains of a shelter and then we will see the whole center of Montignac, a beautiful city.
03:02 - What is the best, in your opinion, bike or canoe?
03:04 - To visit the Dordogne, I would say that on a bike there are beautiful things to do.
03:07 - On a canoe, we don't go by roads and we really have unique landscapes.
03:10 - We can't see them elsewhere.
03:12 - We can't see them elsewhere.
03:14 - Well, Gaëlle, we have arrived. This is the last straight line and the finish line is at the end.
03:26 - Yes, a light finish line, full climb, which will be quite decisive for the sprinters.
03:31 - We talked about barouders earlier, we'll see.
03:33 - Full climb, does that mean it won't go too fast?
03:35 - I suggest you watch.
03:37 - Full climb, does that mean it won't go too fast?
03:40 - I suggest you watch.
03:42 - Did you see that sprint?
03:55 - Yes, but we've been waiting for you for a while.
03:58 - I'm not too tired. It's good.
04:01 - We did the last third of the stage.
04:07 - It will be harder for the professionals, but they are professionals.
04:11 - I'm not too tired. It's good.
04:13 - I'm not too tired. It's good.
04:15 - I'm not too tired. It's good.
