00:00 Show me Otani.
00:04 So DRS, you're rocking with Otani for the parlay, right?
00:08 It's a victory, it's total bases.
00:10 Yeah, it's been, I don't know, last couple of starts, five innings in each, five earned
00:15 runs against San Diego, team lost, he lost, and then four earned against Houston, and
00:21 a loss once again here.
00:23 Look, again, this isn't about the MVP, that stuff's all good and fine, but Otani has been
00:28 a very good, very good pitcher, but he has been hittable in his last two here.
00:33 This totals eight and a half.
00:34 What do you think about Otani on the mound?
00:36 Here's the interesting thing against right-handed batters.
00:39 Shohei Otani on the mound, he's been absolutely dominant.
00:41 A 109 ISO power number, weighted on base percentage, 274.
00:44 Kray Kevin, 36%.
00:47 He does get himself into a little bit of trouble going up against left-handed batters, and
00:50 over the past 30 days, he's elevated to an ISO power number of 265 and a weighted on
00:54 base percentage of 409.
00:56 Now, there's not a lot of left-handed batters we anticipate to be in the lineup tonight
01:00 for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
01:01 It looks like Swinsky, Reynolds will be a switch hitter, and Santana, so maybe only
01:05 three left-handed batters that show up.
01:07 That should help Shohei Otani, but flipping it over, it's really a handicap, and if you're
01:11 just taking the money line on the Los Angeles Angels, not granted, it is heavy, and it's
01:15 heavy for a reason, why Shohei Otani is going to get a lot of money, but also Oviedo, not
01:19 great against left-handed batters.
01:21 He's a left-handed batter, Shohei Otani.
01:22 You know, he's been absolutely electric here, and it's kind of a shame.
01:26 The Phillies gave up on Mickey Moniac, and nobody here in the city of Philadelphia is
01:29 going to fault the Phillies for doing that.
01:31 He hasn't really shown anything here, injured most of the time, but seemingly finding his
01:35 way out on the West Coast.
01:36 Take a look at Moniac, threw about 50 at-bats here, and can last 30 days against right-handed
01:40 pitching, a 354 ISO and a weighted on base percentage of 461.
01:44 Like, he's going toe-to-toe right now with Shohei Otani at the plate in some of these
01:47 advanced analytics.
01:49 I just think the team is much, much better from an Angels perspective.
01:52 I think Otani comes away with the victory, which means the Angels came away with the
01:56 victory.
01:57 And as we know at the plate, he should be able to do damage against Oviedo, who really
02:00 has been struggling with left-handed batters, which Otani is a left-handed batter.
02:04 - Look, for Otani, the strikeout profits, seven and a half.
02:07 It's expensive to get over that number.
02:09 It's a number that has been dropping.
02:11 He's missed it two times in a row.
02:13 Then it was double digits in two consecutive.
02:16 But overall, since we've hit June, seven outings, five of the seven.
02:20 He has had seven or less strikeouts there.
02:22 So this has been something that's slowing up.
02:24 You're starting to see the number drop.
02:26 You kind of come back here, pay minus 140 to get over.
02:28 You could consider it.
