Bella's new life with 'second dad' in Mexico after months adrift in Pacific

  • last year
Bella, the dog that survived more than two months at sea on raw fish and rainwater with stranded Australian sailor Tim Shaddock, finds a "second dad" in one of her rescuers and a new life in Mexico. "I was among the first ones who had contact with her. I was the one who hugged her," says Bella's new owner Genaro Rosales.

Bella was adopted by Shaddock in Mexico, and ended up stuck with him on a storm-struck catamaran in the Pacific Ocean for weeks until they were rescued by a passing tuna vessel.
