00:00 >> Gosh, I know a lot of talk about you being the greatest,
00:03 greatest, because you put it back in the big thing.
00:06 What is your opinion on all the noise that's going on?
00:10 >> I've always been a guy to not really focus on the noise.
00:13 And then a lot of that stuff is trying to talk about the future.
00:17 And I don't try to be in the future, I like to do what my feet are right now.
00:20 And like you said, in order to be a great, you gotta do a lot of great things.
00:24 And I feel like personally, I'm not there yet.
00:26 So I wouldn't feel right trying to compare myself to the greatest.
00:30 And I just like to see who actually did it at Alcorn and went to the NFL and
00:37 did great things.
00:38 And you can consider yourself a great, as far as me,
00:40 I'm still in college trying to be one.
00:42 So I mean, it just noise for real, I'm trying to be where my feet are.
00:46 >> [INAUDIBLE]
00:56 >> Nothing short of a blessing for real.
00:58 Just to see, like I was just saying previously,
01:00 just like to see where the program came from.
01:02 When we both first got here, he came here December 2018.
01:07 I came here 2019, so I'm part of his first recruiting class.
01:11 But just like to see the growth as far as the program, the growth of Trey Oliver.
01:15 You know what I'm saying, the growth for me has just been a journey.
01:18 >> I understand that.
01:20 Speaking of the team, man, you'll be proud of your [INAUDIBLE]
01:24 >> [INAUDIBLE]
01:30 >> That's my man.
01:31 Like, it's not even just saying he's on the same team, but
01:33 like he's one hell of a guy outside of football.
01:37 So what he does on the field does not surprise me.
01:39 Probably surprise y'all because I don't see who he is off the field and
01:42 how he carry himself.
01:43 But now I'm expecting a lot of great things from him.
01:46 Like I said, he's one hell of a player.
01:48 Throughout this offseason, he's been one of the top guys as far as putting in work
01:52 and doing his due diligence.
01:55 So I'm expecting one big season.
01:57 >> Last question for me, I know you all consider yourself a big player.
02:02 I know the lineups depend.
02:03 What is the thing that you've been working on to try to improve as
02:05 all these guys that you have?
02:07 >> You know, the basic stuff of being a quarterback.
02:10 Accuracy, you can never be too good at that.
02:12 Footwork's mechanics.
02:15 So yeah, over this summer, just been working, I got in contact with Malcolm Bell,
02:20 former NCCU grad, former quarterback here.
02:23 He's just been teaching me a lot of great things throughout the summer as far as
02:25 how to improve my game.
02:26 So I've been trying to take heed of that as much as I can and
02:30 then make sure I fight when the season comes.
02:31 No problem, appreciate it.
