00:00 Hi, I'm Margot Robbie.
00:02 I'm Kate McKinnon.
00:03 And today, we're going to let Ellen ask us anything.
00:07 Where else are the twins from The Shining?
00:10 Would you like to go first?
00:15 No.
00:16 I had a Barbie fold-out house.
00:19 I got it for Christmas, I think when I was around five years old, and I loved it.
00:23 And the weird thing about this gift is, I don't think I had a Barbie.
00:26 I had the house and no Barbies.
00:28 Do you remember what you put in it?
00:30 Nope.
00:31 Interesting, a student of architecture.
00:32 I had like hamster houses, and the hamsters that went in them, and then Bidger died in them.
00:41 Look, no.
00:44 Did Mattel make the hamsters?
00:45 No, it wasn't like that.
00:47 They were more modest.
00:49 They were ranches.
00:50 The Rusty and Cheek version of the Dreamhouse?
00:52 Yes.
00:55 The weirdest fan theory I've heard about the movie so far is that it's actually a horror film.
01:00 And that's what's going to take everyone by surprise.
01:02 Like, "Oh, you thought you were going to a Barbie movie?
01:04 Psych, it's scary and gory."
01:07 And I was like, someone said that to me, and I was like, "It's not.
01:10 Please don't spread that rumor."
01:12 I don't want horror fans to be disappointed.
01:15 Oh my gosh, wow.
01:18 [Thinking]
01:21 I'm going to say smart, fun, meaningful.
01:33 Good.
01:34 I'm going to say, if we get six words between us, I suppose, exuberant, hilarious, unexpected.
01:45 But not a horror film.
01:47 Just to be clear.
01:50 The very best part of working with Greta?
01:54 Because my list of things I love about Greta is so long, no one has time to listen to it.
02:00 But the very best thing?
02:02 Pick one, I can't.
02:04 I love her so much.
02:05 She's one of the smartest people you could ever meet in the universe.
02:09 And also is very, literally, sweet.
02:12 The enthusiasm.
02:13 I was like, how is she managing to muster this much genuine passion for every single millimeter of everything that's going on,
02:24 and be so on top of it in such a giving and tender way.
02:30 She's also so smart that never makes you feel dumb.
02:34 Her knowledge of films is incredible.
02:37 But some people who know a lot of films do it in a way where they're like, oh, you haven't seen?
02:43 Well, let me tell you.
02:45 But whereas Greta brings you in, she invites you in to experience it.
02:49 And she does that with this movie where it's like, everyone's invited.
02:53 Like, come, come and enjoy this with us.
02:56 Because it's so enjoyable.
02:57 And there's so much ahead of you.
02:59 It's my favorite movie, by the way.
03:02 I love that one.
03:05 You should see it.
03:06 Yeah.
03:07 BKE.
03:10 BKEnergy is hard to describe.
03:13 It's kind of like, for me, it's like Wi-Fi.
03:17 You know, it's all around.
03:19 And I know we all need it.
03:22 Could I tell you how it works?
03:25 Not really.
03:26 I mean, I know it's got something to do with like fiber optic cables going under the ocean.
03:31 I can't really explain it.
03:33 Do I have it?
03:34 Yeah.
03:35 Okay.
03:36 Yeah, you do.
03:37 You've got both.
03:39 You've got that BBE and that Kenergy.
03:41 Wow, nice.
03:42 And you just know it when you feel it.
03:45 That's the important.
03:46 That's the most defining feature.
03:47 You know when it's there and you feel an absence of it when it's not.
03:50 Cool.
03:51 As a person who lives in my life, clothing and spaces, in blacks, whites, woods and creams,
04:02 I have no color.
04:03 I walked on and I was like, I think I might get color.
04:10 Just a little bit.
04:11 It's so lush.
04:12 It's such beautiful art.
04:14 I think I might understand why people would choose to incorporate color into their spheres.
04:19 Like that scene in Pleasantville.
04:21 Suddenly everyone's like, I don't want it to stop.
04:24 Or The Wizard of Oz.
04:25 Yeah, this was like that moment for Dorothy and Toto.
04:28 Yes.
04:29 I keep saying, and I believe this, and maybe you can pitch this to someone,
04:32 but there needs to be a museum of all of the sets because people should have the privilege of being able to walk through this,
04:39 what amounts to a sculpture garden.
04:42 I was very jealous of the Ken's costumes when they have their battle.
04:49 It was very like 80s gym inspired.
04:53 And I honestly was like, where can I get that tank top that Simu was wearing?
04:58 And they're like, it's like a vintage thing.
05:00 I was like, damn it.
05:01 I liked Ryan's big fur coat.
05:03 The mink.
05:04 Oh, it's a mink?
05:05 It's a fake mink, but he calls it a mink.
05:07 It's not actually a mink.
05:09 I used to feel judged by the color pink.
05:15 And now I'm sort of like, wait, pink is what it looks like when things are going well in nature.
05:21 Like when there's enough sun or like when a flamingo has enough shrimp to eat.
05:25 Like that's what pink is.
05:27 And like, that's great.
05:29 So pink is just pink is life.
05:31 Pink is a celebration.
05:33 Pink is a party.
05:35 And I think I may start incorporating pink.
05:40 I also, I was judging pink, I think, before.
05:45 You know, as they say to little girls, like, and what do you like?
05:48 What do you want to do?
05:49 Like, what's your favorite color pink?
05:50 So I made a real point of being like, I hate pink.
05:52 Actually, I didn't hate pink.
05:53 I was just trying to be defiant.
05:55 My workaround was to say that I like the color magenta.
05:59 You didn't walk far enough.
06:02 You should have said crimson.
06:04 Crimson.
06:05 The color of blood.
06:08 I was that child to say things like that.
06:12 Please go see the Barbie movie in theaters July 21st.
06:17 Shaz.
