Transcript
00:00 Jesse Jaynes Decker is opening up to Us Weekly about marriage, motherhood, and so much more
00:04 in this week's cover story.
00:06 The country singer is doing it her way when it comes to raising her three children, Vivian,
00:10 Eric Jr. and Forrest, with husband of 10 years, former NFL player Eric Decker.
00:15 She tells us in the latest issue of Us Weekly, "I became me when I became a mother.
00:19 My kids complete my life.
00:20 They inspire me, and when I'm happy, I feel like I'm my most creative."
00:24 And while their parenting styles may differ, Eric is a bit more adventurous, while she's
00:28 a bit more reserved, she does believe that her kids will follow in their footsteps.
00:33 She tells us, "I'm almost certain Eric will follow in his dad's sports footsteps.
00:38 And Vivian, I think the girl is going to the Olympics.
00:40 Forrest loves performing and singing.
00:42 I want them to live their dreams and shine and do what makes them happy."
00:45 As for what they like to do together as a family, the country singer tells us, "We
00:49 put on talent shows in the basement.
00:51 Each kid does a song and a dance.
00:53 We sit together every night for dinner because that's important to me.
00:56 And we say our prayers."
00:58 And while she is focused on giving her kids the most normal life as possible, she does
01:02 still have to deal with some online trolls.
01:05 She tells us, "There was definitely a time when it used to get to me.
01:08 It hurts your feelings when people are unkind.
01:10 But as I'm getting older, I don't have time to focus on negativity anymore.
01:13 I have three children to love and look after.
01:16 We're all just trying to do our best.
01:18 We should be supporting one another."
