00:05 who will share with us some insights on women healthcare.

00:15 - Good evening.
00:22 Well, this is Anil B. Kaushal, and I represent Lupin,
00:25 the makers of Corkel Bone & Beauty.
00:28 It's really, really a privilege
00:30 to be amongst this august audience.
00:33 And I've traveled to other parts of the country
00:35 for this event, and we heard really,
00:37 really inspiring stories.
00:39 Some of them really made me feel useless.
00:41 Yeah, so, and I'm sure there'll be stories here too.
00:47 And you might wonder why are we here?
00:50 Why are these brands all here?
00:52 Well, it's a simple reason.
00:53 Marketeers always knew 50% of India matters.
00:57 The political class is waking up to it now,
00:59 but we always knew.
01:00 Being part of a healthcare company,
01:05 we get this opportunity to meet people, meet women,
01:08 trying to understand their needs, their lifestyle issues.
01:12 And there's something which we came across
01:15 as a common theme or a common pattern in our country,
01:18 more so in our country, which is not a revolution.
01:20 It's something which you all practice, or may be aware of,
01:24 which is that women give least importance
01:28 to their own health, their own goals.
01:30 If they take care of their family first,
01:33 and then their own needs.
01:34 You might see this in your own family,
01:37 and you might be doing it yourself.
01:39 But we need to know that women
01:42 have very specific health needs, very different from men.
01:46 You pass through this various life stages
01:50 of childbirth, post-pregnancy, menopause,
01:54 and all of this requires specialized solutions
01:59 on nutrition.
02:00 But the healthcare needs are the least amongst the priorities.
02:08 When you take a, I mean, all of you might have taken
02:12 a flight, and you keep on hearing these safety announcements
02:16 where they insist, (speaking in foreign language)
02:21 Right.
02:25 That's what our message is.
02:26 Our message is, you can do everything which you want,
02:29 but before that, take care of your own health.
02:32 We can't change the basic quality, inherent quality
02:36 of women to take care of others,
02:38 to keep others ahead of themselves.
02:40 But they should not feel guilty
02:42 about taking care of themselves too.
02:45 We can achieve everything if you are our best.
02:49 We feel best, we are healthy.
02:50 Whole life, our competition is with our own self.
02:55 The best compliment anyone can get
02:57 is when someone tells you, 10 years hence,
03:00 that you look the same like you looked 10 years ago.
03:03 That's the best compliment anyone can get.
03:05 And that comes through maintenance of good health.
