The Old Sawmill Cafe has turned one year old this year and the team celebrated with cake, champagne, decorations and reflections of the past year.

While the cafe is just a year old, the building itself is listed and dates back to at least the 19th century when it was used as a sawmill following the Industrial Revolution.

The physical renovation took more than a year to complete before it was open to the public in July 2022.

The cafe is situated at the Ingleborough Cave and nature trail in Clapham which is thought to be one of the first villages to utilise hydroelectricity in the country.

Managing director of Ingleborough Cave and Nature Trail, Andrew Jarman, gives us a tour of the cafe.
