I hopped on the train at 1930s Pickering station and it felt like stepping into a time machine. It had a little bit of the old and a little bit of the new.
The journey was only an hour long and the views were breath-taking. I savoured every moment as we travelled through the stunning North York Moors.
The destination was Goathland, the village were Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and ITV's Heartbeat were filmed. This station was much older than the one in Pickering, as it was opened by North Eastern Railway in 1865.
Over the years, thousands of visitors flock to the village where the film and TV show were filmed.
