00:00 The PESC Business Advisory Council meeting was held in Cebu City.
00:04 President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the opening of the meeting
00:08 while highlighting the importance of the policies on the economic recovery
00:14 and the fight against poverty in the South.
00:26 Angelette Magiliw was welcomed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
00:30 by the delegation of the APEC Business Advisory Council here in Cebu City.
00:35 The APEC is formed by the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation or APEC Economic Leaders
00:42 to provide perspectives on business negotiations
00:45 and to help APEC leaders, ministers and senior officials.
00:49 President Marcos gave his blessing
00:51 on the rapid development of policies for economic recovery, job creation and poverty reduction.
00:58 He also helped to address the issue of food security, health system and climate change.
01:04 President Marcos said that this can be used
01:06 by strengthening agriculture, industrialization, connectivity and supply chain,
01:12 promoting tourism, agriculture and other things.
01:15 He also emphasized the provision of agricultural land to farmers
01:18 with the help of the New Agrarian Emancipation Act.
01:21 The President also laid three priority points
01:24 that will be helped by the government and the private sector.
01:27 First, the solution to issues related to energy, climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss.
01:33 He said that APEC countries can use renewable energy sources.
01:39 He also encouraged the shared investment to reduce the financing burden of the government
01:45 and the private sector to plan, operate and implement projects.

01:56 technical cooperation and capacity building play pivotal roles
02:00 in ensuring that our economies are capacitated to implement our agreements,
02:06 hasten our development by learning from each other's expertise and experience,
02:11 and for us to ultimately find complementarities in our economies
02:16 to not only strengthen our regional value chains,
02:19 but also create new markets and foster equitable growth.

02:30 President Marcos is also expecting to lead the inauguration of the National Museum here in Cebu City.
