00:00 Football with pads on, it's the real game.
00:01 So, we're obviously, like you said, this is an extension of the OTAs.
00:06 We're using this to revamp, get used to the heat again, and
00:10 win the offense to where we're gonna play real boy ball.
00:13 You see the physical attributes of what guys are made of.
00:17 Guys, obviously, it's gonna be hotter with pads on.
00:20 So being able to continue the mental aspect of it, but
00:22 also who's gonna separate themselves with technique when they're tired.
00:26 With the pads on, continue to show us what type of team this will be.
00:31 >> Figure you know this, no pads, pretty light.
00:34 Do you like these competitive end game situations that you're pushing in?
00:37 >> Absolutely, that's what's so cool, that's what you do a good job of.
00:42 You can script practices, you can do all these things, but
00:45 is that really doing you any good?
00:46 Cuz if you get into a game, transitional periods, you can have turnovers,
00:50 things like that.
00:51 You can get thrown into different situations that you're not gonna be in
00:53 control of, so you have to be able to react.
00:54 And that makes people have to start quickly thinking on the field,
00:59 eliminating, and just being able to process information quicker.
01:03 So I enjoy that a lot, especially, I mean, we're day two and
01:06 we're already doing our two minute drill and stuff like that.
01:08 So it's good to see, especially going up against our defensemen.
01:11 They have so many different packages, and blitzes, and
01:12 looks that we have to adapt and integrate with.
01:16 >> You get a six foot five receiver, Mike Evans,
01:18 if you were touched down too in that fade.
01:19 I mean, just talk about having him as a target on those fades,
01:23 cuz he's very good for you.
01:25 >> He obviously makes your job extremely easy.
01:28 He's a big target, even when he's one on one, he's still open.
01:30 So there were things yesterday that I got to see him going full speed up against
01:34 the defense, just little nuances that what makes him extremely special.
01:39 I mean, he's an all pro for a reason, but
01:40 he does things that you really can't teach as a receiver.
01:43 He's had an innate ability of getting open and
01:45 being really, really friendly at the top of his rouse.
01:48 >> How motivated are you, because I have skeptics that, I don't know,
01:52 it seems like they feel it's ancient history.
01:54 The last time you were healthy, you had a very good season, so did your team.
01:57 But there were skeptics out there.
02:00 Did they motivate you?
02:01 Do you listen, do you read what's going on out there?
02:04 >> No, I've been off social for almost three years now, so I'm wired different.
02:09 I don't need anybody on the outside to tell me what I can and can't do.
02:13 I know what I'm capable of.
02:14 Yeah, I mean, I got hurt in Cleveland, that's why my run ended there.
02:18 And last year was, it was what it was in Carolina.
02:23 But everything happens for a reason, so I'm here now and I'm ready to go.
02:29 I mean, this team, when you talk about skeptics and
02:32 what the narrative is around this team, I think it speaks to our veterans and
02:36 the people that were a part of the run, to the Super Bowl and
02:38 the success they've had recently, more so than me.
02:41 I'll always have a chip on my shoulder, that's just how I approach every day.
02:45 But it's good to be around a room and a group that has had success and
02:50 continue to have that mentality as well.
02:52 So it's a good fit, but we're gonna write our own story.
02:55 You can't carry on anything from the past years.
02:58 You might internalize and think about it, but nothing translates to the next year.
