00:00 You know, when I found out they're in a combine,
00:02 it was something that came as a surprise.
00:06 So just hearing that and just taking it in
00:09 and figuring out what I had to do to come back
00:11 and make sure I was on the positive side of things
00:14 and just focus on the end result,
00:16 coming back out here and playing football.
00:17 - I want to respect your medical privacy
00:19 if you don't share it, but what was the ailment
00:22 or what were you diagnosed with?
00:25 - I mean, it was really nothing,
00:27 just something I had to go through,
00:28 a little process, but I've been healthy,
00:31 still am healthy, so it's a great way to go.
00:34 - Are you confident that won't come back again?
00:37 Just scared of it, that it won't come back again?
00:39 - Yeah, it was nothing for me,
00:39 so it's going through a process of things.
00:42 I think the combine is gonna start, but yeah, I'm fine.
00:45 - Does it make you appreciate
00:47 just doing a football practice like this
00:48 even more now you've had a couple of these on there?
00:50 - I mean, I've always appreciated it.
00:51 It's always a blessing to be out here
00:53 and be shooting every day, so just having it,
00:56 in a way, taken away for a little bit,
00:58 just standing out there, watching everybody else play
01:00 and stuff like that.
01:02 I understand everything, so I was on the positive side,
01:04 just doing my time to get better.
01:07 - What's it been like getting to know Rashad a little bit
01:09 and leading you through this room right now?
01:11 - Yeah, all the guys in there,
01:13 definitely getting to know each other,
01:16 building relationships, and Rashad,
01:19 definitely want to know what it's like
01:20 when you're coming back, just seeing how he does things,
01:23 and I'm able to appreciate what he does.
01:27 - People learn in different ways.
01:28 Some people are visual learners or audible learners.
01:30 Some guys are kinetic learners.
01:32 They could actually do it to understand it.
01:34 How much were you able to learn
01:36 from just watching on the sidelines,
01:38 threat OTAs and in the classroom,
01:40 picking up this scheme and all of that?
01:44 - I would say it wasn't too bad.
01:46 Coming from Syracuse, I feel like the running style
01:51 is kind of similar, so it's not a complete changeover for me.
01:56 The mental reps that I was getting
01:58 on the sidelines through OTAs and everything,
01:59 definitely helped, and then being able to come out here
02:02 and actually do it felt good.
