Two men, including an enforcement officer attached to a Malaysian High Commission abroad have been arrested for allegedly accepting money to approve visa applications by Bangladeshi nationals to enter Malaysia under the pretext of tourism.

00:00 Two men, including an enforcement officer attached to a Malaysian High Commission abroad,

00:16 The officer is believed to be in cohort with employment agencies in Bangladesh and Malaysia
00:22 since 2021 and had abused the foreign visa system to bring Bangladesh citizens to work

00:29 It is said investigators believe the amount of bribery involved exceeds RM100 million,
00:35 although the actual payment for the visa set by the government is only RM105 per visa.
00:42 The other individual, Napt, is believed to be a managing director of a company supplying
00:47 foreign workers working hand and glove with the enforcement officer.
00:52 The two men, who are in their 30s, were arrested when they were summoned to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption
